    Development in C++/Python of a GPS car tracker based on the ESP8266/Arduino platform which relies on open SSIDs to relay telemetry data over encrypted DNS tunnels, or over GPRS when outside WiFi coverage, to a self-hosted cloud server.

    Development in C++ of a WiFi-enabled control module for a model train based on the ESP8266/Arduino platform which acts as a Web server and allows for train remote control over WiFi.

  • Reliable Wireless Multicast

    Research and implementation of a Reliable Wireless Multicast system for wireless video streaming applications based on UDP packet re-transmission and client reporting features. Development of a server application (Java) and a client application (Android) for simulating near real-time packet losses and just-in-time re-transmission for preventing video buffer starvation.

  • RF PLL Synthesizer

    Development of a Dual-band RF Synthesizer working prototype based on a programmable PLL from Silicon Labs and featuring a TI MSP430 microcontroller, Built-in Self Test functionality (BIST), JTAG Boundary Scan for radio-frequency input on a matrix keypad and an LCD interface. Prototype functionality verified with a Software Defined Radio receiver (RTL-SDR).
