Parvathi Nair shared thisTwo years ago, during a celebratory lunch in Chelsea, I found myself complaining out loud. Everyone around me was toasting with champagne, while I was stuck joining in with a glass of sparkling water - even if I had added a slice of lemon to make it look more dressed up. The waiter overheard me and said, ""Wait, don't start the toast yet. We have something you can use for the toast"" That was my introduction to Saicho Sparkling Tea. Since then, I have gotten to know Saicho's founders, Natalie Chiu and Charlie Winkworth-Smith, and realised they have started a bit of a revolution. Saicho Sparkling Tea is popping up at every celebration, rapidly becoming the ""drink of choice"". Whether it is a destination wedding in Europe, a graduation celebration, a Friday evening gathering to celebrate a well-earned promotion, or a birthday party, Saicho is what people are choosing to celebrate with. There are many lessons to learn from Saicho's success that we hope to dissect in detail. However, the first is that Natalie and Charlie created a product that is entirely complete. It is a multi-dimensional solution to a multi-dimensional problem. This is exactly why the Brands That Wow team is so excited to feature Saicho Sparkling Tea as our very first Brand That Wows! If you want to try Saicho, grab your voucher now at Brands That Wow. Link in comments below 👇 #BrandsThatWow #SaichoSparklingTea #ChallengerBrands

Parvathi Nair shared thisI've always followed the Rule of 30: listen to something the first 29 times, but act on it the 30th, when it becomes too important to ignore. Having spent years in the small business space, I've met countless founders with remarkable products and inspiring stories. But as rising advertising costs squeeze small businesses out of traditional marketing channels, these brands are rapidly running out of platforms to share their voice. For years, whenever I told a founder how much I loved their brand, they would ask if I could share that love publicly. Every time, I declined. I always told them I was a behind-the-scenes marketer, not a public figure. But when I heard that exact same request for the 30th time, I knew it was finally time to act. That's when I met Isabelle Maratier. Navigating a parallel career to mine, she had heard the very same request for the 30th time. Together, we decided to stop listening and start building. We set out to solve a problem that was asking for a solution, even if that solution meant forcing two shy and introverted marketers into the public eye! Dedicated to the marvellous brands that inspire us, we created Brands That Wow: a launchpad for new brand discovery. The businesses we feature already have loyal fan bases who absolutely adore them. But until now, they've been a well-kept secret within that fan base. Today, that secret is out. Through Brands That Wow, we hope that people can discover remarkable products from brands they may have never heard of before, but will undoubtedly see everywhere in the future. Enjoy exploring Brands That Wow, meeting the fabulous founders who inspire us, and discovering the beautiful brands you're going to want to try! Alicia Thornthwaite BSc (Hons), MSc, MRSC - Brands That Wow would not exist without you. Thank you for bringing this baby to life! The world needs more people like you. ❤️ BTW - don't forget to follow Brands That Wow on LinkedIn and get your voucher now at the Brands That Wow website! #BrandsThatWow

Parvathi Nair shared thisParvathi Nair shared thisToday, plastics are essential at every stage of the supply chain, for just about every industry, product or service. Around 6% of the oil that the world uses every year goes into producing plastics, on average we produce just >1mm tons/day Giving up plastics is clearly not practical, and demographics teach us that as economies get more developed they consume more plastic, starting with low 4kg/capita up to >95kg/capita in the more developed countries. So, ditching plastic would mean giving up modern life as we know it and as millions aspire to live it. We at Vita advocate a shift to a sustainable bioplastic, which is nontoxic and can act as a feedstock for many of the fossil-based plastics we have come to rely on. As the picture illustrates this is an extremely complex and well managed value chain, and the industry has done very well to make it extremely efficient. The transition to a clean plastic value is possible, but will not happen overnight and will take a great deal of capital to achieve. #innovation #plastics #circulareconomy #sustainability #climatechange #fmcg #renewables #accountability #carbonneutral #sustainableinvesting #renewablenergy #greeninfrastructure #greenfinance #esginvesting #emissionstargets #greenplastic #valuechaineconomics #globalcommitment #un2030

Parvathi Nair liked thisParvathi Nair liked thisA CMO asked me last week whether AI search needed its own budget line or whether the SEO retainer already covered it. It is the right question and the industry answer to it is a mess. Ahrefs ran 15,000 prompts through ChatGPT, Gemini, and Copilot and checked the pages they cited against Google's top 10 for the same prompt. The overlap was 12%. Around 80% of cited pages did not rank for that prompt at all. Conductor ran the same question across enterprise domains and reported 25% to 39%. A factor of three separates them. At the high end, most of the work is already paid for. At the low end, almost none of it is. Both figures are averages across categories that behave nothing alike, so neither one describes your brand. Which is why the overlap worth knowing is your own, measured in your category and your market, before the line item gets defended. #AISearch #AIVisibility #BrandStrategy #MarketingLeadership #Assurance

Parvathi Nair liked thisParvathi Nair liked thisExcited to share that I completed Agentic CMO Accerator from Applied AI Academy. Thank you Victoria Rusnac and Sergio Giannone for leading the exceptional training — six intense weeks, and a genuine step change. Congrats to everyone in Cohort 2. The course was a great blend of 18+ hours of live class-work, self-study, demos and case studies with countless hours of solo agent building and workflow design. We went from chatting with assistants, to prompt and context engineering, understanding connectors, building agentic systems and leading agentic transformations. The hands-on building was relentless, and that’s where it all clicked. My favourite was building the content engine and SEO agents — chained skills to automatically research, draft, humanise and polish content — systems that would help every marketing team. Now applying it to what I care about most at RAM Consulting Group— helping companies build agentic marketing teams.

Parvathi Nair liked thisI would appreciate you sharing or commenting on this post as we try to find a new future for ValerieParvathi Nair liked thisThis is the hardest post I’ve ever had to write. We have until Monday 3 August to find a buyer for Valerie. If we don’t, we may have no viable route to continue the brand under its current ownership. I never imagined writing that sentence. We created Valerie because women’s hormonal and midlife health has been overlooked for too long—and women deserve better: better products, better information and a brand that genuinely understands what they are going through. Thousands of women have trusted us with their health and told us they’re sleeping better, feeling more energised, more connected in their relationships and more like themselves again. After months of relentless fundraising, and despite follow-on backing from new and existing investors, we did not raise the capital needed for our next stage of growth. So we made the difficult decision to pivot to finding Valerie a new home. Several genuinely interested parties have explored an acquisition and conversations remain active, but time is running out. Wizz and I have poured everything we have into building Valerie and trying to secure its future. We haven’t paid ourselves in months. We’re mentally, physically and financially exhausted. And the thought of Valerie disappearing after just two years of trading is devastating. Because there is still so much value and opportunity here: 🎯 Nearly 80% gross margin and a £70+ average order value 🎯 A 4.7-star average product rating and Excellent Trustpilot score 🎯 Stocked by Liberty and Holland & Barrett 🎯 Commercial terms agreed with two further major national retailers 🎯 An award-winning brand with innovative products making a genuine difference to women’s lives This isn’t a business that has run out of potential. It needs resources we can no longer provide ourselves. I’m incredibly proud of what Wizz and I have built, and hopeful Valerie can fulfil its potential under new ownership. With the right capital, infrastructure and leadership, I firmly believe it can become a successful and profitable business. So I’m asking my network for help. If you operate, invest, acquire or advise in women’s health, supplements, wellness, beauty, consumer health, pharmaceuticals or retail — and may be interested in acquiring Valerie — please DM me. If the opportunity isn’t relevant to you, please share this post or introduce me to someone who might be. One conversation could give Valerie another chance. Cheers, Olly

🏆This research received the Gold Award in the Best Use of Data category at the ESOMAR 2025 Awards. Kantar and Google found that brand investment doesn’t just build awareness, it builds resilience. One UK skincare brand raised prices by 14%. Without brand support, the model predicted a 10% drop in volume. But thanks to prior investment in equity, the actual decline was just 7% and revenue rose by 7%. Why? Because customers became less sensitive to price. This is the power of Pricing Power. It’s not about charging more, it’s about being worth more. And it’s not just for luxury brands. Low-margin categories stand to gain the most when brand strength softens price elasticity and protects profitability. Download Kantar's latest evidence-based guide: https://lnkd.in/enYpR7eS
