Mark "Strings" Stringer 🌄 shared thisWe're not a research company. We're a strategic insight-driven activation business. The Global Fame "MAKERS", not the Global Fame "Sayers". Understanding LLMs and building proprietary tools was never the end goal. We built the AI Fame Tracker to understand how AI/ GEO recommends brands and, more importantly, to turn that understanding into better activation channel planning. The result is robust evidence that helps clients make smarter decisions and build more effective integrated creative campaigns. If you're not showing up correctly on an LLM, regardless of how high your brand equity is, you're effectively a ghost brand. https://lnkd.in/eapnhsQq

Mark "Strings" Stringer 🌄 shared thisIt’s the small things that matter. It’s been at our heart 💙 for 18 years. The ability to just do things because you can, which is maybe why I love being independent. But maybe it’s not about being independent. Maybe it’s just about being able to cut through bureaucracy and make things happen. Wendy Stringer sent a note saying it’s our birthday this weekend, and the football’s on, shall we give people a late or early start. A few messages later and Sarah Henderson sends a note out, and it’s done. Doesn’t need to be a grand gesture, doesn’t need to be over complicated, doesn’t need lots of people to have meetings, sometimes it’s just about understanding what will make people say thank you because it makes a difference. So this is an invitation to everyone. It’s our birthday this weekend and it’s the football, so you’ve all got permission to have a lie-in (even if you don’t support England and don’t like football). Mark "Strings" Stringer 🌄 shared thisHi, I’m Mark "Strings" Stringer 🌄. I’m the #1 leading expert when it comes to Ai Fame*. If you want to know how LLM’s work and how they recommend brands and how your brand becomes famous, then I’m probably the person you want to connect with. Having spent the past 9 monthw thinking about and helping build the Ai Fame Tracker from PrettyGreen | The Global Fame Makers. 👆Did you know that LinkedIn is one of the number one sources for AI signals? Which means that if you’re not joining up your comms dots, and being more consistent, then you’re probably never going to have any brand fame on an LLM. —- About the Ai Fame Tracker™ from PrettyGreen - Does Ai recommend your brand? Ai Fame Tracker™ is PrettyGreen's proprietary "Ai Recommendation Intelligence" platform, built by a PR-led agency that understands how brands become famous. We measure how often AI recommends your brand and how to improve how often it chooses you. More purchase decisions now start inside ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. The brands AI recommends are increasingly the brands customers choose. Everyone else risks being invisible before the buying journey has even begun. We show you whether AI recommends your brand, which competitors are winning instead, and why. We measure how often your brand appears across the AI platforms customers actually use, compare you against competitors, and give you a clear score showing where your brand stands in the AI recommendation landscape. Then we give you the playbook to change it. Ai Fame Tracker™ doesn't just show whether AI knows your brand. It shows whether AI recommends it - and what to do if it doesn't. *According to me

Mark "Strings" Stringer 🌄 shared thisIt’s not over until your delayed flight finally leaves Nice. And Cannes is about far more than rosé and the Gutter Bar. It’s the random conversations while queueing for a wristband. Bumping into old university friends on the beach. Finally meeting people you’ve known for years on LinkedIn, but never in real life. Hearing ideas that challenge your thinking. Walking miles while putting the world to rights. People see one big party. The reality is closer to a thousand breakfasts, coffees, meetings, lunches, boat parties, dinners, talks, roundtables, music gigs, awards, chance encounters that somehow become one giant festival. It’s not for the faint-hearted, but also not for people who only drink. You get out of Cannes exactly what you put in, which is time, and a lot of it. You can complain about the heat, the queues, the prices, the traffic, the lack of sleep and your inbox that keeps filling up. But it’s worth remembering what a privilege it is to be here, whether you’re staying on a superyacht or in a tiny Airbnb 50 minutes from the Croisette. And yes, there will always be someone who got invited onto the bigger yacht, arrived by helicopter and somehow ended up at the secret dinner with the headline act. Good for them. The real value of Cannes isn’t found on someone else’s Instagram. It’s in the conversations, relationships and ideas you take home with you and the memories that last a long time after the wristbands have been binned. Thank you Cannes, and all the people who work so hard to make it so special. #canneslions #cannes #marketing

Mark "Strings" Stringer 🌄 liked thisMark "Strings" Stringer 🌄 liked thisIn her Substack this week, the brilliant Sophie Devonshire⚡️ writes about a VC who told her he didn't invest in women because their networks weren't strong enough. I haven't been able to stop thinking about it. Because he was wrong about the reason... and accidentally right about the reality. When I had my kids, I didn't give up work. I went "Fractional CMO", but i did put my head down. Five years of school runs and bedtimes and doing the invisible work that still, in most homes, falls to women. I was exhausted. My network quietly withered. I didn't notice until I lost my job in lockdown and suddenly really needed it. That was a cold, clarifying moment. So I clawed my way back. Early morning breakfasts before the school run. Late evenings after bedtime. Events I was too exhausted to attend but showed up to anyway. As a single mum, there was no one else holding the fort. Latchkey kids. Guilty evenings. A lot of "I'll just be an hour" that turned into two. Out of that came 'Club 57' A community built on the radical idea that women in marketing deserve genuine friendship, not just another panel to sit in on. 500 members later... it turns out we were all starving for the same thing. And then there's The Marketing Society. The best industry-specific network out there, full stop. The place I keep coming back to year after year because it genuinely fills you up rather than wrings you out. A place where I have also made friends. I am now known as a super connector. I love that. I earned it. And I got my gig as MD for Uncensored CMO because of the skills that i learnt. And I have now found The Illuminari because that network has value on many levels. But let's not romanticise it. The reason women's networks shrink isn't a character flaw. It's time. And until there is genuine equality at home, the women quietly rebuilding theirs after years of holding everything else together deserve a lot more credit than a VC's throwaway line. Sophie's piece is a brilliant, generous read. Link in comments. I'm Kerry. I'm totally obsessed with things not being totally Meh and avoiding enshittification. Mark "Strings" Stringer 🌄 liked thisMark "Strings" Stringer 🌄 liked thisI've been unusually quiet on LinkedIn over the last couple of weeks... and for a very good reason. I got married and have just returned from an incredible familymoon! Don't worry, I'm not about to share the '7 things getting married taught me about building new business relationships.' Instead, I simply wanted to recognise my amazing wife, Melanie Collard-Osman. None of us gets to where we are alone. Through every high and low, Melanie has been my biggest supporter - keeping me grounded, challenging me in all the right ways, and helping me become a better version of myself. It's important to celebrate the milestones, but it's often the people behind the scenes who make them possible. Feeling grateful, refreshed, and excited for everything the future holds - both personally and professionally. ❤️

Mark "Strings" Stringer 🌄 liked thisMark "Strings" Stringer 🌄 liked thisIn the noughties I worked on Stella Artois for very many years across all parts of the mix. Back then, premium wasn't a campaign line. It was a brief for every single touchpoint. Outdoor. Film. The "Reassuringly Expensive" work. Even how the can felt in your hand, because Stella's 500ml had embossing on it. We agreed that the metal itself had to communicate quality. We were obsessive about it too. If any of us saw a Stella can discarded in the street, litter, clutter, whatever, we'd pick it up. Not for the environment (though no bad thing). Because a crushed can in a gutter was part of the brand experience whether we liked it or not, and we didn't want that being someone's touchpoint. This weekend I picked up a can for a different reason. No embossing. Value-engineered out. Small thing. Tells a bigger story. It may have been this way for a while - I no longer buy a lot of it. I've just read Gradient Experience's 2026 Spirits I.M.P.A.C.T. Report (worth a read if you're in drinks, link in comments). It argues spirits brands are now fighting for "memory space" over shelf space, because people are drinking less but expecting more from what they do drink. Hendrick's spent big on Anotherland, a three-storey immersive theatre piece for their new expression, and by the report's own figures it landed 18x its impressions target with 90% of that coming through earned media rather than paid. But here's my problem with the "memory space" framing on its own: You can build the most immersive townhouse in London and still lose the plot if the actual product has been quietly cheapened behind the scenes. As Mark Ritson has repeatedly reminded us on MiniMBA 'Product' is the most important P. Premium was never meant to be a hero campaign bolted onto a diminished product. It was meant to be the whole system, liquid, pack, price, experience, all pulling the same way. Full mix. Consumers notice the can before they notice your activation. They just don't post about it. So the real question for brands chasing "memory space" isn't just "what experience can we build to go viral." It's "does every touchpoint, including the boring, unsexy, unphotographed ones, still say what we claim to stand for." Where else are you seeing brands talk premium in the campaign and cut it in the product? I'm Kerry. I'm totally obsessed with things not being totally Meh and avoiding enshittification. Got a brand problem you want cracking, on stage or on demand with the industry's very best brains? Get in touch.

Watching athletes, both with and without disabilities, playing sport back to back, with the same audience cheering them on, is the future of multi sports events! I was once again inspired by the power of sport to unite. I am so pleased we met Phil Batty OBE 6 months ago and made Bupa the healthcare partner to the games. Thanks to Caroline Jacomb’s determination and drive and Sonam Patel, Shin-Tsyi Yang and Carley Larkin’s commitment and support we showed up beautifully at the event. Go team! Commenting on the publication of the ScaleUp Institute’s inaugural Female Founders Scottish ScaleUp Index, Marie Owen OBE, Founder and CEO of LS Productions, one of the UK’s largest independent production services companies, headquartered in Edinburgh with production hubs in London and Manchester supporting global brands, agencies and studios to produce high-end film, TV, and commercial content, with partners including HBO, Netflix, and Dior, said: “In today’s economic climate, scaleups are critical to national resilience. Businesses like ours are already exporting, employing at scale, and generating significant revenue, yet the policy and funding focus still leans heavily towards startups. My experience scaling LS Productions has shown me that growth at this level requires more than ambition, it demands access to senior talent, digital capability, and international market infrastructure.” “The creative industries in particular are often underestimated, despite being powerful drivers of IP, inward investment, and global competitiveness. If we want the economy to thrive, we need to back the companies that are already delivering measurable impact.” ScaleUp Institute Female Founder Scottish Index 2026 ➡️ https://lnkd.in/ew95eiKM Pathways Forward
