A new peer-reviewed study from Mars Veterinary Health and Antech Diagnostics, published in PLOS, analyzes clinical data from our North America care network to uncover new insights into Giardia prevalence, risk factors, and its broader impacts on feline and human health. Collaborative research like this reflects our ongoing commitment to advancing veterinary medicine through data and science—turning actionable insights into better health outcomes in service of our Mars Petcare Purpose: #ABetterWorldforPets. Chronic intestinal disease is common in cats, but often harder to identify than in dogs. The clinical presentation differs, comorbidities such as pancreatitis and cholangiohepatitis can complicate the picture, and it can be difficult to differentiate from non-inflammatory disorders such as small-cell gastrointestinal lymphoma.
