“We don't think of innovation as just patents, just some side part of our jobs. It is the job. If we don't innovate, who will?" Vice President of Technology Development Engineering, Deepanshu Dutta, has been breaking the boundaries of NAND technology since 2006. He and his team have been at the forefront of NAND technology's evolution, using each generation to educate themselves for what’s to come next.  Dutta reflects on the journey of NAND, and how he and his team are looking to continue pushing the technology forward to meet the ever-growing demands of AI storage ⬇️

As inference becomes the dominant AI workload, traditional memory architectures are being pushed to their limits.   That’s where HBF™ (High Bandwidth Flash) technology comes in.   In a new article for Electronic Design, our Chief Technology Officer, Alper Ilkbahar, breaks down why the next era of AI will be increasingly memory-centric, and how reimagining NAND can help meet the capacity, bandwidth, and efficiency demands ahead 👇

AI's center of gravity is shifting from compute to memory. In a new contributed article for Electronic Design, I lay out why DRAM and HBM alone can't keep pace with AI inference – now the dominant AI workload, and one with very different data management requirements than training. Inference needs capacity, bandwidth, and energy efficiency to scale together, at a cost the industry can sustain. Today, they don't. That's why we reimagined NAND – one of the world’s most scalable semiconductor technology. High Bandwidth Flash (HBF™) is purpose-built for AI inference, offering comparable bandwidth to HBM with up to 8-16x the capacity at a similar cost – and because it's non-volatile, it doesn't burn power keeping data refreshed. It's a practical path to the memory-centric era of AI, from hyperscale data centers all the way out to the edge. My thanks to the team at Electronic Design for the opportunity to share this perspective. Congratulations to our Sandisk Admin Awards finalists and winner! We’re proud to celebrate the incredible members of our Admin community who were recognized as finalists at The Admin Awards 2026 — the nation’s premier recognition program for administrative professionals.   This year, six Sandisk administrative professionals were named finalists: Fatima Seedat, Latesha Forte, Diane Marks, Eleanor (Elli) Carrillo, Lisa Bishop, and Ruby Lopez. Each of them represents the excellence, partnership, professionalism and care that our Admin community brings to Sandisk every day.   A special congratulations to Fatima Seedat, who received the Above the Call Award, recognizing administrative professionals who consistently go beyond the expectations of their role and make a meaningful impact on the people and teams they support.   We’re grateful to all of our Admins for the work they do behind the scenes and across the company to help Sandisk move forward. Congratulations again to Fatima and to all of this year’s finalists!   #TeamSandisk #AdminAwards #AdministrativeProfessionals #LifeAtSandisk

Please join us in celebrating this evening's Above the Call Awards Winner, Fatima Seedat of Sandisk! Fatima Seedat is the Executive Assistant at Sandisk, where she's served as an Admin Professional for the past nine years and supports both the CFO and VP of Investor Relations at Sandisk. When Sandisk's stock rose roughly 1,400% this year, hundreds of institutional investors and analysts wanted immediate access to leadership. Fatima skillfully built the triage system that let Wall Street get prompt, professional responses without ever slowing the executive team down. Fatima has succeed in protecting and strengthening Sandisk's reputation during a period of intense market visibility, one earnings call, one investor meeting, one analyst briefing at a time. Beyond her day job, Fatima interviews and thoughtfully onboards new Executive Assistants and also steps in to support the CEO's office whenever called on. As her nominator, Ivan Donaldson, VP of Investor Relations, put it: "She has transformed a dual-support position into a critical strategic partnership during one of the most demanding growth periods in Sandisk's history."   Congratulations Fatima - The Admin Awards - Silicon Valley / San Francisco Region's 2026 Above the Call Award winner!

As AI workloads and demand for storage continue to grow, the design of data centers are changing to meet the current moment. Sandisk SVP of Engineering, Mrinal Kochar, explores how innovations in NAND flash technology are pushing designers to rethink long held assumptions on the structure of the modern data center in this article for BigDATAwire. In light of the shifting memory hierarchy, factors like workload alignment, power efficiency, density, and proximity to compute are taking greater precedence. In the last decade, humans have created a lot of data. Photos on a phone, numbers in a spreadsheet, emails in an inbox — all data, hundreds of millions of terabytes of it produced. And since we aren't showing any signs of slowing down anytime soon, we'll need to find a better way to store it. “That explosion has created a mass need for more personal storage.” says Christina Garza, Director of Global Brand Management for Consumer Products at Sandisk. Garza explores why smarter, faster, more accessible storage is becoming a necessity for everyone in this blog: https://lnkd.in/gbuPMv68
