The Los Angeles Times recently took a closer look at how ThredUp is using AI — from processing millions of unique garments to helping shoppers find exactly what they’re looking for. Our CEO James Reinhart shares his perspective on how far resale has come, the role technology has played in that growth, and what’s ahead for the $240 billion market. We’ve spent more than 15 years building the technology and infrastructure to make secondhand easier at scale. AI is helping us make it smarter, faster and more personalized. Our fifth annual Impact Report is here! Inside, a look at our 2025 environmental, social, and governance (ESG) progress and how it's advancing our mission to inspire the world to think secondhand first. As our co-founder and CEO James Reinhart says, "Circularity is more than a program we run alongside the business. When ThredUp grows, more clothing stays in circulation. There is no version of our success that is separate from our impact." Some 2025 highlights:  🛍️ Ended 2025 with more than 1.7 million active buyers shopping across 60,000+ brands on our marketplace.  👗 Recirculated 1.7 million items through our Resale-as-a-Service (RaaS) business, in partnership with leading brands.  🌍 Prevented the equivalent of 1.3 billion pounds of CO2, saved 13.4 billion gallons of water, and saved 2.5 billion kWh of energy to date.  ⚖️ Helped drive the closure of the de minimis loophole, correcting an imbalance that let ultra fast fashion flood the U.S. market duty free. We’re looking forward to the conversations, ideas, and connections that come with bringing retail and technology leaders together. We hope to see some of you in Huntington!  https://retailclub.com/
