Igor Bekker shared thisAs a parent, there are few things more exciting than watching curiosity turn into initiative. My 11-year-old has always been into STEM, robotics, and 3D printing. What started as tinkering and experimenting has officially turned into a small side hustle and I couldn’t be more proud. This isn’t just about selling a few 3D-printed book holders. He’s learning how to: • Turn ideas into product concepts • Use AI to generate and refine test models • Prototype, iterate, and improve designs • Think through pricing and basic unit economics • Understand merchandising and positioning • Manage simple logistics and operations • Communicate with customers and handle feedback In other words, he’s getting a hands-on MBA at 11. What I love most is that this isn’t forced. It’s driven by curiosity. Maybe a little forced by the desires to buy a dirt bike. The tools available to this generation are unbelievable. We began building our own state-of-the-art resort featuring 526 new villas and an amenity center in the heart of Orlando's one-and-only International Drive—launching in Fall 2023. 4. They think that if they know the age, gender, and location, they’ve struck gold. They are wrong. Dead wrong. Look at these two individuals: – Male – Born in 1969 – Lives in USA – English is a native language – Started career in early 1990s – Author, wrote an autobiography – Living in a luxury estate – Wealthy and financially successful On paper, they are the exact same person. But in reality, one is Marilyn Manson and the other is Matthew McConaughey. If you try to sell the same product to both using the same "Demographic" hook, you will fail. One is the "Prince of Darkness" living in a gothic cocoon; The other is the "Golden Boy" of Texas sunshine and "Greenlights." Why this kills your margins: 🔹 Logic vs. Emotion: Demographics tell you who they are; Psychographics tell you why they buy. Manson buys to provoke; McConaughey buys to enhance his "living." 🔹 Wasted Ad Spend: Targeting "Males, 55, High Income" will put your yoga mat in front of a rock star who hasn't seen the sun in weeks, or your industrial leather boots in front of a guy who only wears flip-flops. 🔹 The "Vibe" Gap: Their values, fears, and daily rituals are 180 degrees apart. Your brand voice cannot resonate with both simultaneously without becoming "beige" and forgettable. The Fix: Move from "Who" to "How" – Identity, not Age: Are they rebels or traditionalists? – Values, not Income: Do they value shock value or wellness? – Environment, not Location: Is their "luxury estate" a dark studio or an open-air ranch? Stop marketing to spreadsheets. Start marketing to humans. If your audience profile allows both a shock-rocker and a rom-com legend to fit in the same box, your box is broken.

When I joined Circle K in 2018, we made big gains in traffic and visibility with a few quick SEO band-aids (yep, even some keyword stuffing) while the team worked on deeper fixes (site structure, content, and review responses), paired with paid search. Consumers should be cautious about agentic AI travel booking, but not for the reasons mentioned in Gabe Castro-Root’s New York Times piece. Gabe, you spoke with the OTAs building these tools. But you didn’t speak with the one group that actually determines whether agentic AI can work for travelers at all: hotels. And that’s the missing voice in this whole conversation. Here’s the reality most consumers don’t know: Agentic AI won’t just be about finding options and booking, it’ll be about making decisions and negotiating on your behalf. And none of that works unless the AI is connected to the hotel’s real-time data and commercial flexibility. Your agent will eventually ask the hotel things like: • “The traveler’s budget is $2,000. Can you work with that?” • “They’re landing early with a baby. Can you flex check-in?” • “Can you guarantee a quiet room, a crib, and late checkout?” OTAs can’t answer those questions. Scraped data can’t answer those questions. And most hospitality tech stacks, stitched together from multiple acquisitions, definitely can’t. Only the hotel can. And only if the hotel’s systems actually understand context and can act on it. That’s why infrastructure matters. Google is quietly testing a new step for Merchant Center suspensions: video verification. Merchants may now be asked to record a short, continuous video of their business, storefront, storage areas, even packaging of top products. It's very similar to the process used for Google Business Profile verification. This is a big shift. For honest businesses, it's a chance to show Google they are real and trustworthy. But it also raises the stakes: with only three review requests allowed, wasting one without fixing everything first could mean a permanent suspension. My advice? ✅ Audit your site, feed, and business details thoroughly. ✅ Be 100% truthful in the verification process. ✅ Don’t request a review until every issue is fixed. LinkedIn, We Need Better Security On Monday, I woke up to notifications about five ad campaigns running on my account, campaigns I never created or approved. I'm a premium member with dual authentication enabled for years. I did everything right. Yet somehow, fraudulent ad accounts appeared under my name. After two days of back-and-forth with support, I learned something alarming: LinkedIn's current system allows anyone to add you to an ad account without your consent or verification. When I asked how this was possible, LinkedIn support confirmed, "Yes, that can be done and LinkedIn is working on that right now to secure it." If you're on LinkedIn, please: Check your ad account access regularly Monitor for unexpected ad activity emails Know that two-factor authentication won't protect you from this particular vulnerability LinkedIn, security cannot be an afterthought.
