Grace Weingard shared this🎉 Can’t wait for this next chapter.Grace Weingard shared thisToday, Coterie officially joins Mammoth Brands! This moment means a lot to us. When Jeffrey Raider and I started Harry's 13 years ago, we had a simple goal to create a better shaving experience for guys everywhere. We’ve gotten a lot bigger since then, and so have our ambitions. We’re improving everyday experiences for more people, across more categories, and want to help other brands achieve the same kind of impact as Harry’s. What started as a “DTC razor startup” has grown into a portfolio of five brands, each beloved and meaningfully redefining their categories. One thing they all have in common is a shared mission to Create Things People Like More. From our earliest conversations with the Coterie team, it was clear that they’re driven by the same mission and values as we are. They're obsessed with making parents’ lives easier, and raising the bar on quality and performance. It’s no surprise that they’ve earned the trust of hundreds of thousands of families. They've reimagined what modern baby care looks like and we’re excited to continue driving that vision forward with them. This outtake from our shoot with Jess Frenchman Jacobs and Grace Weingard should give you an idea of how happy we are to be on this journey together.

Grace Weingard shared thisFive years ago, I took a leap of faith—pivoting from fashion apparel to join a small, seed-stage startup called Coterie, focused on revolutionizing the baby diapering space. Founder Frank Yu took a chance on me, and I took a chance on Coterie. It turned out to be one of the best and most transformative decisions of my career — an opportunity to: - Redefine the baby care category and truly “make parents’ lives easier” - Help build a company from the ground up to over $200M LTM and profitable - Work alongside some of the most brilliant, kind, and mission-driven people I’ve ever met. Today marks another exciting chapter in that journey: Coterie has signed a definitive agreement to join Mammoth Brands and their incredible portfolio of powerhouse brands. We’re thrilled to partner with Mammoth’s co-CEOs Andy Katz-Mayfield and Jeffrey Raider, along with their outstanding leadership team, as we amplify Coterie’s mission and accelerate our next phase of growth. I’m deeply grateful to Jess Frenchman Jacobs (my Coterie other half), our leadership team — Katherine Swift Todd Donner, Lindsey Kling, and Ankur Goyal — and to every single member of the Coterie team who helped bring this vision to life. A heartfelt thank you to Frank Yu and his founding vision and early leadership, our investors (Align Ventures, American Pacific Group, BELIADE), our counsel at Cooley (James Allen, David Young, David Silverman), our advisors at Raymond James (Vennette Ho Lee, Marko Horvat), our incredible supply chain partners, and of course, our loyal Coterie families who inspire everything we do. We’re just getting started — and the best is yet to come. 💙Grace Weingard shared thisWe are so excited to announce that Mammoth Brands has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Coterie, the modern baby care brand designed to make parents’ lives easier. Coterie has been on an incredible trajectory since they got started in 2019, and made a big impact on their industry, becoming the fastest growing premium diaper brand. They’ve helped redefine baby care and earned the trust and loyalty of hundreds of thousands of families as a result. Like us, they're driven by challenging the status quo, committed to product excellence and innovation, and obsessed with their customers. We couldn't imagine a better team to continue to pursue our mission — to Create Things People Like More —with. That’s why we’re so excited for the massive opportunity ahead. Over the years, Mammoth Brands has built a platform and a playbook to help brands grow from online-led disruptors to omnichannel category leaders. We did it with Harry's, then Flamingo, Lume Deodorant, and Mando. With Coterie, we’ll take that same playbook to baby care, offering them the infrastructure and capabilities to supercharge their growth, while preserving the brand DNA and product quality that has made them so beloved. This deal marks an important milestone for Mammoth Brands, diversifying our portfolio and solidifying our position as one of the largest CPG companies built in the last 20 years. We couldn’t be happier to have Coterie on that journey with us, and can’t wait to welcome their team, led by CEO Jess Frenchman Jacobs and President Grace Weingard, to Mammoth Brands. Grace Weingard shared this👏👏👏Grace Weingard shared thisCoterie skincare has landed. After years of R&D, the highest formulation standards, rigorous safety testing, and designing the ins and outs of the experience, it’s here. A daily ritual for parents and babies that works to truly prevent skin issues, rather than just treat them. Engineering this magic alongside Grace Weingard and the entire Coterie team has been magical, thoughtful, hard, creative, earnest and boundary breaking. Exactly the way it should be.

Grace Weingard reacted on thisGrace Weingard reacted on thisWhen you join a startup, you dream of an outcome like this. Yesterday, Coterie was acquired by Mammoth Brands. A little over four years ago, I jumped on the Coterie rocket ship and from day one, I knew we were building something special. It’s rare when all the pieces come together — a superior product, a powerful brand, and a world-class team and culture — yet that’s exactly what we have created. We built Coterie on a simple belief that parents deserve better and together have redefined what babycare can and should be. When I think about what it took to get here, it certainly wasn’t luck. It was a series of brave decisions, unwavering focus, and a team that refused to settle for anything less than exceptional. Frank Yu, thank you for your vision and for inviting me on this incredible ride. To Jess Frenchman Jacobs, Grace Weingard, Ankur Goyal and Katherine Swift Todd Donner you have been the most brilliant and inspiring partners, throughout past year and from the beginning. And my team, Amy Nichols, Brittany Deems, Morgan Uzunian, Rebecca Varney, Kyra Peckaitis, Sam Faubert, Marjorie Crimmins, Orly Amsalam, Katharine (Spring) Kurz, and Marisa Ferrera, who make magic happen for the hundreds of thousands of Coterie families every single day. You are the secret sauce. Many thanks to our investors Align Ventures, American Pacific Group, BELIADE, our partners at Raymond James Vennette Ho Lee, Marko Horvat, Charles Baudron and Brendan Camuso, at Moxie Communications Group, Corinna (Pieloch) Purtill and at Cooley LLP James Allen and David Young. Grace Weingard reacted on thisGrace Weingard reacted on thisAlmost four years ago, Jess Frenchman Jacobs asked me to chat with her new boss, Frank Yu, about “HR stuff.” Anyone who knows me knows I’m always happy to help, hop on a call, and have conversation. What started as a simple chat turned into one of the most rewarding professional experiences of my career. Hands down. I joined a startup where the founder wasn’t just passionate about the product and brand he was building for parents, but was equally passionate about the team behind it. That’s what struck me, and ultimately, why I joined, and have stayed. The right team is E V E R Y T H I N G. Our incredible trajectory over the past few years is a result of this coterie we have thoughtfully and deliberately built together - a team of the best of the best. As a mom of three boys, I know firsthand that parenting is the absolute hardest job out there (it’s why I have a day job 😉). Our mission to make parents’ lives easier is something I feel deeply connected to, and I’m so grateful we’ll be able to continue carrying that forward as a part of Mammoth Brands. To our Coterie Founder, Frank Yu, thank you for your incredible vision and for always “engineering the better”. To leadership legends Jess Frenchman Jacobs, Grace Weingard, Lindsey Kling and Ankur Goyal, it truly is an honor to partner with you each day. Thank you all for your willingness to spend endless hours getting in the minutiae with me on things that really matter. A big thank you to our investors including Align Ventures, American Pacific Group, and BELIADE. We wouldn’t have been able to accomplish what we have so far without your continued support. To our legal partners at Cooley LLP, James Allen, David Young, Natalie D. Vernon, David Silverman, and Leila Kazerouni - we know that we have had the absolute dream team working alongside us, and we are so grateful. And, to our advisors at Raymond James Vennette Ho Lee, Marko Horvat, Charles Baudron, Brendan Camuso, and Kevin O’Brien, thank you for your steady guidance throughout this process. https://lnkd.in/eU3qx-94Mammoth Brands clinches $1 billion-plus deal for high-end diaper maker CoterieMammoth Brands clinches $1 billion-plus deal for high-end diaper maker Coterie

Grace Weingard reacted on thisGrace Weingard reacted on thisOk, let’s address the elephant in the room (someone had to make the joke!): Coterie is being acquired by Mammoth Brands. Looking at Coterie today - a highly profitable business with a beloved brand and an equally special culture - this outcome might seem inevitable. But look closer and you’ll see the hard, unconventional decisions, diligent execution, and sheer number of stars that had to align to make this possible. Coterie has redefined my understanding of what great looks like - building something people genuinely love, doing it alongside extraordinary teammates, and having the courage to invent rather than imitate. Thank you to Frank for innovating fearlessly. Thank you to Jess, Grace, Lindsey, Katherine, and David for being an amazing team in this nearly yearlong process. And thank you everyone who made Coterie a success, with special gratitude to my incredible team: John, Stephen, Rikki, Liz, Rachel, Sparkle (and Alyse and Olivia!). Retail is changing, but the fundamentals haven't. I recently joined the NYSE Floor Talk at the ICR Conference to discuss the current state of the apparel industry and where Faherty is headed. In a world obsessed with "tech-first" retail, we’ve found success by being a lil old school. A few takeaways from the conversation: 1. In-Person Retail (wholesale + stores) is a superpower: It’s not just about distribution; it’s about brand discovery and building trust in-person. 2. The "Modern Comfort" Shift: Post-pandemic style isn't going back into a box. People want high-quality pieces that work for the city, the beach, and everywhere in between. 3. Team is Everything: As a former college athlete, I look at business through a coaching lens. Our success is a direct result of the incredible team we’ve built. “Abercrombie & Fitch shares jumped 36% after Q2 results beat expectations and the company raised its full-year outlook.” “Hollister sales increased 14%, while the Abercrombie brand returned to growth.” “The company continues to expand into new categories, partnerships and occasions while staying focused on its core customer.” Implications: Abercrombie continues to be one of the better retail turnaround stories. What stands out to me is how they’ve evolved beyond just selling clothes. Hollister is leaning into sport and culture, while Abercrombie has expanded into weddings, work, NFL, kids and other occasions. They’re finding more reasons for the same consumer to shop with them instead of constantly chasing a new consumer. https://lnkd.in/ezYWM8BN

Post 5/10. Over-production is hard to fathom and harder to fix. Over-consumption gets more airtime, documentation and critique, yet the antidote is the upstream supply chain. Fashion’s system for high margin sourcing is a legacy which fails to protect market viability from volatility. Excess inventory overwhelms an industry in lost capital, landfill waste, and lasting damage to brand image. In plain terms, fashion makes 10 to sell 3, discounting and discarding 7. Obsession with volume leads nowhere, as investors know. The singular alternative to such poor economics is to make 7 and sell 7. Is a “ten fingers” example too glib or does simplicity reveal a better reality? A bad system has twisted incentives. Buyers love low unit costs, and suppliers love to fill capacity, so how does 30% less volume change the inertia of over-production? The answer, in three parts, applies in all geographies. First, lost capital is the result of unsold goods, unneeded inventory and high forecast error. These metrics are sky high. Second, the most misrepresented measure in fashion is lost sales (stockouts). Low-cost goods with long lead times miss market trends, in season upside, and full price sales (Prof Warren H. Hausman and I researched stockouts at 50% of markdowns, analysis for another time). And third, investor views of shareholder value reward performance based on capital generated with far less inventory risk. Revenue and margin are limited measures of ROI; it is the denominator that drives exponential results. Fortunately, AI decision-making is migrating upstream, as new business models rise to supersede the old. Fashion need not dwell in financial mediocrity but can reinvent itself by taming materialism and inefficiency toward more productive livelihoods. That alone makes fashion meaningful for a new generation of buyers and suppliers. The Denim Revolution Nobody’s Talking About (But Everyone Will Feel) While the industry obsesses over Gen Z’s vintage obsession and Y2K revival, three seismic shifts are quietly reshaping denim manufacturing. Here’s what I’m seeing from the factory floor hy the last quarter of 2025: ----- **1. THE DEATH OF THE 90-DAY LEAD TIME** Remember when 90-day production cycles were standard? Those days are over. Ultra-fast fashion players are now operating on 21-day cycles—from design approval to retail floor. How? Vertical integration + AI-powered demand forecasting + regional micro-factories. Traditional manufacturers betting on “quality takes time”? They’re losing market share fast. The wake-up call: Speed AND quality are no longer mutually exclusive. ----- **2. WATER ISN’T THE STORY ANYMORE—MICROPLASTICS ARE** We’ve spent a decade reducing water usage (and rightfully so). But here’s the inconvenient truth: A single pair of stretch denim sheds 50,000+ microfibers per wash. Multiply that by 2 billion jeans sold annually. The EU’s 2026 microplastic regulations will hit stretch denim HARD. Brands still using 15-20% elastane? You have 18 months to reformulate or face import restrictions. The solution? Bio-based elastane alternatives and closed-loop washing systems.. ----- **3. THE “MADE IN” LABEL IS BECOMING A COMPETITIVE WEAPON** Nearshoring isn’t a trend—it’s becoming mandatory. US brands are moving 30-40% of production from Asia to Mexico/Central America. European brands are pivoting to Turkey, Morocco, and Tunisia. Why? It’s not just tariffs. It’s: → 6-week shipping vs 8-12 weeks from Asia → Lower carbon footprint (a selling point, not just compliance) → Same-time-zone communication → Better inventory management I’ve had five new partnership inquiries this month alone from brands exploring nearshoring. Five years ago? Zero. ----- **THE UNCOMFORTABLE TRUTH:** The denim industry has operated on the same playbook for 30 years: minimize cost, maximize volume, slow and steady wins. That playbook is obsolete. The manufacturers thriving in 2026 are the ones who’ve rebuilt their entire operating model around three pillars: ✓ Agility over scale ✓ Traceability over opacity ✓ Innovation over tradition The brands still shopping on a pure cost-per-unit basis? They’re going to learn this lesson the expensive way. Are you seeing these shifts in your market? What trends am I missing? Drop your insights below—I read every comment. #DenimIndustry #TextileManufacturing #FashionTrends #SupplyChainInnovation #SustainableFashion #ApparelIndustry #FastFashion #Nearshoring #FashionTech #TextileIndustry #ManufacturingTrends #DenimProduction #FashionSupplyChain #IndustryInsights #CircularFashion #TextileInnovation #GlobalTrade #FashionBusiness #ApparelManufacturing #SupplyChainStrategy #ESGCompliance #FashionIndustry #DenimTrends #ManufacturingExcellence #B2BFashion

My colleague Bryan Eshelman recently spoke with NPR on the challenges in the sneaker market these days. As consumers pull back spending, clearly differentiated products and services become a retailer’s lifeline. If your competitive moat isn’t aligned with customer expectations, it may be time to re-think your approach for the future.

Your premium fabric means nothing if your hardware fails. The apparel industry focuses the majority of its development budget on fabric weight and silhouette, while treating hardware as a financial afterthought. Brands will spend months engineering a highly durable technical fabric, only to approve a generic €0.20 zipper to save margin on the Bill of Materials. The operational reality is absolute: a garment's lifecycle is dictated entirely by its weakest point of failure. A failed zipper renders a €200 jacket unwearable. A snapped low-grade button sends a structurally perfect shirt to the landfill. Brands are actively sabotaging their primary asset by integrating sub-standard secondary components. This extends to the current trend of "sustainable" trims. Recycled zippers and biodegradable hardware frequently fail baseline mechanical stress tests. If an eco-friendly trim breaks on the fifth wash, you have not created a sustainable garment; you have manufactured a premature defect. At Clothly, we enforce the rule that hardware must match or exceed the durability of the primary fabric. Exact pull-tension, cycle limits, and corrosion resistance must be explicitly mandated in the Tech Pack. Stop compromising your engineering with cheap components. Do you test your hardware to the exact same standard as your fabric? #apparelmanufacturing #supplychain #techpack #sustainability #fashionbusiness #clothly

🇨🇳 China’s role in global apparel manufacturing is shifting, and brands are feeling it. Recent reports show that China remains a leader in textile and garment exports, but its share of global supply chains is adjusting as competition grows and trade patterns evolve. Rather than dominating every category, the country’s strength is becoming more selective , especially in specialized segments like knitted apparel and advanced fabrics. (https://lnkd.in/eDU4pCrY) This matters for all of us in manufacturing because it reflects a bigger reality: Production is no longer about where you make, but how you make. Control, agility, and strategic partnerships are becoming more valuable than just low cost. Our takeaway at Innovtex? 👉 China will stay crucial in global supply chains 👉 But brands need to think beyond traditional sourcing models 👉 Diversifying partnerships and building resilience isn’t optional, it’s essential
