Students, recent grads, dropouts - sign up here: https://lnkd.in/gEUWFB-5 We get it. The job market is dismal. 🫥 Entry level jobs request 2-5 yrs of experience (!!), a near impossible hurdle for the ~67% of students who are unable to secure paid internships [1]. 🫠 Internship experience is the most influential factor in tough entry level hiring decisions [2]. 🙃 For the first time in history, recent college grads have HIGHER unemployment than the rest of the population [3]. Folio's mission is to close the job-readiness gap by giving every student the opportunity to 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀, 𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗼𝗳𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀, 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗔𝗜-𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽 𝗮 𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗼 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀. J. Scott McGuire liked thisI’m a huge believer that roles like this sit at the absolute heart of a great commercial organization. This isn’t a job for someone who just wants to pull reports, update forecasts or tell us what the data says. We’re looking for someone who loves finding the places where the data, the assumptions and what’s actually happening in the business - need help to find each other, and then figuring out why. THIS role is for you if you get energized about both the science of data and the art of selling. That means turning shipment data, retailer POS, forecasts, syndicated data and commercial inputs into concise insights that actually change what we do: where we invest, where we see risk and where we can push harder.. This isn’t a role that lives behind the curtain. You’ll also get to work directly with Ben Woodbridge, who is genuinely one of the most talented insights and RGM leaders I’ve worked with. There is a tremendous opportunity to learn - and just as importantly, figure out where your own strengths and ambition can take you. We’re growing fast enough that your career doesn’t have to follow somebody else’s org chart. Show up - make an impact, and move up or across in the organization If you’re already doing this kind of work and want more ownership, more exposure and more opportunity to build, I’d love for you to take a look - or send this to someone great who should. 🍑 Come create the future with usJ. Scott McGuire liked thisAt Momofuku Goods, our team is growing, and we're looking for our next Sales Planning Manager 📈 As Momofuku Goods continues to scale, we're investing in the people and processes that will help drive our next stage of growth. We're looking for someone who is: 📈 Data-driven and analytically curious 📊 Experienced with forecasting, retail POS, and commercial planning 🤝 Comfortable partnering cross-functionally across multiple teams 🚀 Excited to build processes in a fast-growing CPG company In this role, you'll help shape how we forecast, plan, and make decisions across the business. You'll partner with Sales, Finance, and Operations to build forecasts, analyze retailer and syndicated data, and strengthen our commercial planning capabilities. Apply Today! https://lnkd.in/d7v8BFyE

J. Scott McGuire liked thisA massive amount of gratitude for the love and support we have received scaling Rationale from an idea to now one of the fastest growing NA craft beer brands in the US. One Store, One Shelf, One Consumer at a time and without the supporting cast of business partners, investors, suppliers, wholesalers, retailers and employees we could never have made this happen! Grateful for all of you 🤘 🍺J. Scott McGuire liked thisGrowth for CPG brands often starts upstream of the consumer, not downstream. But a lot of founders I chat with want to start with the consumer first: what people will buy, why they'll come back, how to get in front of them faster. Those are questions that need to be answered. But they are not all the questions that need to be answered. The brands that I have seen building real, lasting velocity spend just as much time on questions related to the partners standing between them and their consumer: > The co-packer filling the cans > The wholesaler getting them into a truck > The retailer deciding whether the product is worth the shelf space Each one has its own incentives, and its own reasons to go the extra mile for a brand, or not. I saw this clearly talking with Jamie Fay, Founder and CEO of RationAle Brewing. RationAle doesn't treat its wholesalers as a pass-through. When product ages past its freshest window on a shelf, the team buys it back themselves rather than let a stale can represent the brand. They pitch retailers with category data instead of a sales pitch. They talk about their brewing partner as an extension of their own team, sharing risk in both directions. None of that is cheap. None of it happens overnight. But it's how a brand earns shelf presence that lasts past a single order cycle, and how growth happens without asking any one relationship to carry all the weight. That's the difference between a brand that survives one order and one that keeps getting reordered. You can read the full story of how RationAle built these partnerships, with its brewing team, its wholesalers, and its retail partners, into a growth strategy, in the Insights section on the Adult Non-Alcoholic Beverage Association (ANBA) website.

Kaley Stroup, Maria G., Maria G., Chris Bunn, Jason Crotts, Julie Chan, Matthew Szabo, and Emma Mockenhaupt I can’t help but express my gratitude for being part of such a tremendous leadership team. J. Scott McGuire liked thisJ. Scott McGuire liked thisWe didn't cut a single corner building this place, that's exactly why it's hard to let go. But with a move on the horizon, it's time to pass RISE on to someone who'll keep building on what we started. We've spent the last two years and real money building RISE Modern Wellness, our recovery studio in Chandler, AZ, into something I'm genuinely proud of. Every piece of equipment here is top-tier, cryotherapy, infrared sauna, red light therapy, compression, PEMF, fully staffed, beautifully finished, and running strong today. We're in Casa Paloma, next to AJ's Fine Foods, Pottery Barn, Williams-Sonoma, Fleming's, and Flower Child, some of the best retail and dining traffic in the East Valley. If you or someone in your network has seriously considered owning a wellness business, or wants to add real recovery services to an existing gym, spa, or PT practice. I'd love an introduction. Send me a direct message, or reach my Dad and business partner Scott McGuire directly at (360) 607-1097. More info: https://lnkd.in/gdM7EnAn

J. Scott McGuire liked thisJ. Scott McGuire liked this250 years of America. 29 of them mine. I came to this country in 1997 with a lot of hope. This is a place that genuinely rewards curiosity, hard work, and the willingness to reinvent yourself. On this Independence Day, I'm grateful. For the career this country made possible. For the communities that welcomed me and my family. For the idea at its core: that anyone, from anywhere, can belong here and contribute something real. Happy 250th, America. Here's to the next chapter, for you, for me and both of 🇺🇸

J. Scott McGuire liked thisJ. Scott McGuire liked thisPost your VP of Sales role publicly and every competitor knows your plan before you're ready to say it. An open senior seat is information. It says you're expanding a channel, or shifting strategy, or that someone just left. Investors see it. Customers see it. Your own team starts asking why. That's the part that gets missed when a growth-stage brand posts an executive role to save on fees. You think you're sourcing a candidate in stealth. You're actually telling the market your plan. The searches I run don't get posted anywhere. Some of these companies are prepping for a sale. A leaked org change is the last thing they need in front of a buyer.

J. Scott McGuire liked thisJ. Scott McGuire liked thisToday was officially my last day at Potbelly. A little over three years ago when I accepted this role, I was excited to work for a company and brand that inspired so much love from its customers. I was incredibly motivated to build on a phenomenal "great food and good vibes" culture to support the growth of the business and help Potbelly realize its potential. I believe we did that, culminating last October in an acquisition by RaceTrac, which will only accelerate Potbelly's long-term growth. I have no doubt the two organizations are better together and that there is much to look forward to in the future. In reflecting these past few weeks, there is so much for which I'm thankful. There are too many people to thank in one LinkedIn post, but I'd be remiss if I didn't thank Robert "Bob" Wright for believing I was the right person to lead the People function at this special organization. I wouldn't have gotten to speak to Bob if Scott Weisberg hadn't felt during our initial interview that I had the potential to help the Potbelly team achieve its goals. My fellow senior leadership team peers were instrumental partners in crafting a successful growth story and I'm indebted to all of them. I'm forever appreciative of the Potbelly HR team - there isn't a more committed group out there and I look forward to their continued growth and success with Angela Claybrooks at the helm. Finally, a sincere thank you to Natalie Bolch Morhous and the entire RaceTrac organization for your great partnership and collaboration through a game-changing acquisition. I'm personally looking forward to some time to refresh and recharge with family before stepping into my next challenge. Signing off with a full heart and an empty July calendar. Wishing my network a safe and enjoyable summer! #greatfoodandgoodvibes, #peaceloveandpotbelly Adam Noyes, David Daniels, Adiya Dixon, Lynette McKee, CFE, Jeff Douglas, Jennifer Durham, Steve Cirulis, Clara Clevenger

Lisa Anderson was quoted in a recent Press-Enterprise article looking at Southern California’s clean-air rule aimed at warehouses - and whether it is delivering results almost five years in. For manufacturers, distributors and logistics teams, this is more than a local policy story. It is a reminder that warehousing and transportation strategy is increasingly shaped by air quality requirements, community impact and operational realities - from carrier choices and routing to facility strategy and customer service expectations. If you are watching how these changes could affect cost, capacity and network decisions, it is worth a read: "Lisa Anderson was quoted in a recent Press-Enterprise article looking at Southern California’s clean-air rule aimed at warehouses - and whether it is delivering results almost five years in. The Port of LA provides valuable data capture that highlights historic trends in TEUs for both imports and exports. Analysis reveals a noticeable decline in year-over-year volumes for January regarding imports and exports. This raises important questions about the future direction of these volumes. Are other ports experiencing similar trends? Stay tuned for further insights.
