Martin Loya, MBA liked thisMartin Loya, MBA liked thisI spent a lot of time in the off premise with a client this week and noticed something that hit me hard. Bourbons that not long ago were semi-allocated, hard to find and kept behind the counter are now being stacked on the floor. That’s quite a change. For the past several years, scarcity did a lot of the selling in bourbon. Retailers wanted bottles they couldn’t get enough of. Consumers hunted for them. Getting an allocation was the win. But what happens when scarcity disappears? Now the brand—and the salesperson—has to do the work. Why should the retailer bring in another case when volumes are slow? Where does it fit in the assortment? Who is the consumer in 2026? How quickly will it turn? What are we going to do to help sell it? Those are very different conversations from, “I can get you a case.” Soft markets expose selling skills. And I think we’re going to find out which sales organizations have really been developing them and which have been resting on the scarcity & urgency approach.

Martin Loya, MBA liked thisMartin Loya, MBA liked thisToday, I am moving forward into a new chapter of my professional life. And as I take this step, I am reminded that none of us ever get to where we are going alone. To my family, and to my friends: thank you. Your unwavering support has been the bedrock of this journey. But even as I celebrate this milestone, my thoughts are with those who are currently fighting a much tougher battle. To everyone out there dealing with cancer: I want you to know that you are seen, and you are not alone. Right now, your most important job is to focus on your health. Take care of yourself. Because the struggle you are enduring today is shaping an unshakeable resilience—a strength of character that will make you a vital asset to any team, and any community, in the days ahead. I know how hard this fight is. I get it. And that is why I tell you today: if you need support, please reach out. You don't have to do it alone. Have faith.

Martin Loya, MBA liked thisI wish that more people understood this concept.Martin Loya, MBA liked thisYour team knows. They know whether you support them when things get difficult. They know whether you speak up when they are not in the room. They know whether your leadership shows up when it would be easier to stay quiet. That's where trust is built. A leader’s job is not only to set direction. It is also to use their position responsibly. That means: → Advocate when someone’s work or character is being misunderstood. Give people a chance to be seen and heard. → Stand behind your team when they take thoughtful risks. People need to know they will not be left alone when challenges arise. → Give credit where it belongs. A leader’s influence grows when others feel recognized. → Address problems directly. Supporting people does not mean avoiding accountability. → Create an environment where people know they matter. Trust grows when people believe their leader will show up. The leaders people remember are those who use their position to support the people who trust them. Thank you, Mike Leber, for the reminder.

Even figures like King David, known as a man after God's own heart, experienced profound struggles and made significant mistakes, including adultery and murder. His story offers a powerful reminder that imperfection does not negate one's capacity for deep devotion or divine connection. It highlights that genuine faith and striving for righteousness can coexist with human fallibility. #FaithJourney #Humanity #SpiritualGrowth #PersonalReflection

Martin Loya, MBA reacted on thisThe number: a $4.4. trillion U.S. Latino economy is remarkable, but the business implication is even more important. A $4.4 trillion economy isn't a niche market—it's a fundamental driver of the U.S.'s economic future. The key is not to simply market to Latino consumers, but to integrate this reality into a brand's growth strategy, product development, partnerships, talent, and innovation. Kudos to Ana Valdez and the Latino Donor Collaborative for continuing to replace assumptions with data. Reports like this help move the conversation from opinion to evidence. Link to report, read it, use it, and share it: https://lnkd.in/eNB7ece3Martin Loya, MBA reacted on thisFor more than 15 years, the Latino Donor Collaborative has been committed to replacing assumptions with facts. Our new 2026 LDC U.S. Latino Economic Impact Report shows what the data makes undeniable: U.S. Latinos generated $4.4 trillion in GDP in 2024, making this cohort the fourth-largest economy in the world if measured independently. This isn't advocacy. It's evidence. And it's a resource for every CEO, investor, policymaker, and business leader making decisions about America's present and future. Ben E. Keith was a $400M foodservice distributor when they partnered with KOM International. They had three distribution centers in DFW that were limiting growth. Orders lagged. Labor costs kept rising. Service levels were slipping. KOM International designed a new 430,000 sq. ft. distribution center that unlocked capacity and efficiency: • Consolidated 3 facilities into 1 • Increased labor productivity by 44% (59 to 85 cases per man-hour) • Reduced warehouse staff from 206 to 104 while doubling throughput • Completed the transition with zero customer disruption Today, Ben E. Keith is a $6B distributor, and their facilities still run on KOM designs. 📈 Smart warehouse design is a growth engine. It saves space, cuts costs, and pays back fast. 👉 Could your warehouse fuel the next stage of your growth? #WarehouseOptimization #DistributionSolutions #SupplyChainExcellence #KOMInternational
