Mike Mazza shared thisLast week I was saddened to see that Ignacio Garcia lost his battle with cancer. He was part of an amazing team of District Managers that I had the honor of leading at rue21! He was loved by his team and lead with a big heart. He helped me be a better leader and a better person. Rest in peace Ignacio!

Mike Mazza liked thisMike Mazza liked thisOn Friday, I officially wrapped up my summer internship with the Global Marketing team at Gates Corporation! This summer was an incredible learning experience that gave me the opportunity to gain exposure across so many areas of marketing. I’m so grateful for everything I learned and for the opportunity to work alongside such talented and supportive people. A major highlight was coordinating and executing our 2026 Leadership Summit during my final week. Having supported the planning throughout the summer, seeing everything come together for senior leadership was incredibly rewarding. A huge thank you to my manager, Daniel DeAguilar, for being an amazing mentor throughout my internship. Your guidance and encouragement throughout the summer made such a meaningful impact on my experience. I also want to thank Caitlin Steele, our Senior Global Marketing Director, for welcoming me to the team, trusting me with impactful projects, and supporting my growth within Global Marketing. I’m leaving this summer with so many valuable experiences, lessons, and memories, and I’m excited to take everything I’ve learned into the next chapter of my career. Thank you Gates Corporation for an amazing summer!
