Sasha Harris, MBA shared thisHealthy is the new beauty and wellness is becoming much more personal, holistic and expansive. Yesterday I had the opportunity to attend DSN’s Inside Beauty & Wellness Forum, and I left energized by the conversations shaping the future of our industry. A few insights that stayed with me: 💡 Women, especially those navigating perimenopause and post-menopause represent a tremendous and still largely untapped influence and spending power. 💡 Wellness is no longer one-dimensional. It encompasses mind, body, spirit and sexuality, and consumers are looking for solutions that support the whole person. 💡 Ageism is becoming outdated. People are living longer, showing up more fully and expecting brands and retailers to evolve alongside them. 💡 Credibility is built slowly. Brands must stay focused, earn trust and resist the temptation to overpromise. 💡 Shopper strategy matters more than channel strategy. Understanding how people discover, evaluate and purchase products is essential as behaviors continue to shift. 💡 Delivering value means supporting consumers holistically not simply selling them another product. Sasha Harris, MBA shared thisRetail provides shelf space, but community tells us what belongs on it. This really came to life for me at this year’s ESSENCE Festival. With 1 in 3 women experiencing heavy menstrual bleeding and up to 80% of Black women developing fibroids by age 50, we can’t expect these conversations to stay inside the walls of a doctor’s office. We have to meet women where they already are. That’s exactly what we set out to do through our CVS Pharmacy collaboration with Procter & Gamble and The Fibroid Foundation. What made this partnership so impactful is that we didn’t stop at awareness - we created three meaningful ways for women to engage. ♥️ The Booth We created a space where women had access to education, trusted resources, and products that could support their health journey. From the new Always Size 6 pad to CVS Health Vitamin D, every interaction reinforced that CVS is committed to being a destination for women’s health. Let’s just say…the line was so long the fire marshal had to step in. 😅 With nearly 1,000 women visiting the booth every hour, 25,000+ attendees across our activations, and 155MM+ impressions, it’s clear these conversations are needed. 🎤 The Panel If you missed it, you missed an incredible conversation. My leader, Angel Beasley, joined an incredible panel alongside Charis Chambers, MD (“The Period Doctor”), Veronica Gillispie-Bell, MD, MAS, FACOG, Sateria Venable, and Alexzandra S. to discuss heavy menstrual bleeding, fibroids, and improving awareness, access, and care. 💬 The Talking Circles This was the moment that stayed with me. Women gathered in small groups to share their stories, ask questions, and receive guidance directly from OB-GYNs and experts. There was no script. Just honest conversations. Listening to those experiences reminded me that the best consumer insights don’t always come from reports, they come from creating spaces where people feel safe enough to tell you what they’re really experiencing. A huge shoutout to Shakayla Johnson, MBA, Estee Moss, Kristen Cole, and Christian Felli, whose passion and countless hours helped bring this experience to life, along with our other incredible partners at Always, The Fibroid Foundation, and everyone who made this collaboration possible. This summer, CVS became the EXCLUSIVE retailer to bring Her Fantasy Box to shelf — a brand that built a fast-growing following (1M+ across TikTok and Instagram) before landing on our radar as a next-generation Feminine Care brand. To mark the launch, we activated during Essence Festival weekend in New Orleans at a local CVS alongside influencer Ari Fletcher. The store saw a 61% sales lift vs. budget on event day, up 41.5% year-over-year — proof that meeting consumers where culture already is drives real business results. What I’m most proud of isn’t the traffic and engagement — it’s the cross-functional team that made it happen on a condensed timeline: merchandising, inventory planning, field leadership, store operations, legal, communications, security and supplier partnerships, all moving as one. Sasha Harris, MBA shared thisMy grandmother always believed that knowledge should be shared. While back home in Texas celebrating her life, I spent a lot of time with family. We're a big, close-knit crew, and one afternoon a few of my cousins asked if I could take them to CVS Pharmacy to grab ointment for our new tattoos. Somewhere between the parking lot and the checkout line, the conversation turned into, "So what exactly do you do for a living?" Naturally, that led to me taking them on a tour of #CVS. What started as a quick stop for tattoo aftercare turned into conversations about feminine care, skincare, vitamins, nutrition, and whole-body wellness. We walked aisle by aisle talking about products, prevention, self-care, and the importance of understanding and advocating for your health. Nearly $300 later, everyone left with their favorite feminine products and a basket full of essentials. The moment that stayed with me most came from one of my youngest cousins, who looked at me before we left and said, "I feel like I'm prepared for womanhood now." As someone fortunate enough to work in Women's Health, moments like this remind me that health is about so much more than what sits on a shelf. It's about sharing knowledge, building confidence, and helping people feel empowered to care for themselves at every stage of life. My grandmother was an incredible artist, but her greatest masterpiece was the family she built. Across the show floor, founders were doing more than launching products. They were breaking stigma, opening conversations, and building solutions women have needed for far too long. You can feel it everywhere — not just in the products, but in how brands are showing up, telling their stories, and connecting with consumers. Shakayla Johnson, MBA, Megan Matley, and I spent the week deep in the aisles, reconnecting with longtime CVS Health partners and founders who are shaping what’s next across baby care and feminine health. A few themes that stood out: ✨ Clean period care continues to evolve, with innovation across ingredients, formats, and education. ✨ Menopause is finally getting the attention it deserves, with targeted solutions emerging across sleep, energy, intimacy, and overall wellness, signaling long-overdue normalization of need. ✨ Clean, nutrient-dense baby food and infant products continue to grow, with “clean” now expected as the baseline, and brands differentiating through function, quality, and purpose. We’re also seeing brands push beyond traditional category lines which is a signal that innovation is no longer confined to a single aisle. One thing that always stands out to me at Expo West is the energy founders bring when they talk about their “why.” You can feel the passion, and it’s what continues to push these categories forward. Everyone has been so kind and complimentary, and it's meant a lot. Anyone who's known me knows just how much of my heart I poured into my role leading the Beverage category at CVS. Bringing the best products to our customers. Building a great operating environment for my colleagues. Working alongside some of the best partners across CVS (FMMs, Operations, RISD, Pricing, Promo, Inventory, Marketing and many more). It's been challenging, but more fun than anything. To the suppliers, the ones we did big things with, built major turn arounds with and the ones whose brands we just couldn't fit: thank you. I always prided myself on hearing every pitch and considering every opportunity. We built some great stuff together, and I'm so proud of what we did. I always said I'd leave the business better than I found it, and I truly believe WE did. To my team, Haley, Evan, and Cory: I'm going to miss you most of all. It takes a village, and over the last few years, I could always count on you! Keep crushing it! Cheers to 10 great years, and to everyone who made them what they were!

Sasha Harris, MBA liked thisSasha Harris, MBA liked thisIt's long SORRY… worth reading trust me✨ I believe one of the most important things we can do as we travel our professional paths is build our work family. I met these amazing individuals in another role, in another building, working for another company. The company changed. The titles changed. The physical place that brought us together changed. What never changed was how we showed up for one another. When we were a team, we supported each other, challenged each other, shared what we knew and helped each other grow. And now, long after the company that first connected us, we still do. We show up. We share experiences. We open doors. We celebrate the wins. We offer perspective when things get hard. There’s research behind the power of these relationships, too. Gallup reports that employees who have a best friend at work are 7x more likely to be engaged, and its research shows meaningful connections between workplace friendships and outcomes like quality, profitability, innovation and retention. But for me, the value goes beyond a statistic. This is one of several groups of relationships I make a point to cultivate because, over time, colleagues, teammates and direct reports can become something much more enduring: Your work family. Companies will change. Titles will change. Buildings will change. The relationships you build along the way can last far beyond all three. Store Closures Aren’t A Retail Apocalypse. They’re A Leadership Audit Everyone keeps saying 2026 is the year retail “finally breaks.” That’s lazy thinking. Closures aren’t happening because consumers vanished. They’re happening because tolerance for mediocrity did. Macy’s planning to exit roughly 150 underperforming locations by end of 2026. Walgreens continuing to unwind hundreds of pharmacies tied to expiring leases. Carter’s trimming about 100 stores across 2025–2026. Kroger closing around 60 locations for marginal but necessary margin repair. This isn’t panic. It’s overdue hygiene. USA Today, Jan 2026. Forbes, Dec 2025. Most of those stores were already dead on the P&L. We just kept them alive with excuses. I’ve sat in rooms where everyone knew the store network was broken but no one wanted to own the decision. Traffic erosion masked by promos. Labor flexed past reason. Inventory turns that never recovered. Online didn’t kill these stores. Indecision did. NRF reported in Nov 2025 that over 70% of retail executives now rank store productivity and omnichannel contribution ahead of raw store count. DigitalCommerce360, Oct 2025, shows DTC penetration continuing to climb while physical square footage declines. Those curves aren’t crossing by accident. A store today earns its keep three ways or it doesn’t earn it at all: Profit contribution Customer acquisition Fulfillment leverage If it fails all three, it’s not strategy to keep it open. Clienteling tools. SKU-level behavioral data. Associate tablets. Shade-matching history. Replenishment cycles. That is a very different operating system than traditional department store merchandising. So now you’ve got a shared box with layered infrastructure: 🧾 Two loyalty ecosystems. 📈 Two data environments. 🏬 One physical checkout moment. The real question isn’t whether beauty works… It’s who owns the customer graph when the transaction clears. Because once you can reconcile loyalty ID, media exposure, SKU-level inventory and margin, you’re not just running a shop-in-shop. You’re running a closed-loop retail media engine inside a legacy store. Tom Kingsbury has been clear about profitable growth at Kohl’s.
