Relevance, insight & value significantly improve as models are trained with proprietary unstructured (email, SMS, wiki, financials, imagery, etc.) & structured (CRM, ERP, Cust Support, etc.) data. But the ‘Relevancy v. Risk’ double edge sword sharpens with each valuable private data addition. As a result, private model growth will be linked to data leak risk reduction strategies including; MCP, A2A, air-gapped servers, select redaction, role-based access, human-in-the-loop, governance, etc.

At an AI conference. As a speaker. I built a $150M annual revenue company and have attended 50+ conferences all over the world. This has never happened before. I wasn’t going to share this, but as AI is about to shape everything from hiring to healthcare to government, I felt compelled to speak up. Here’s what happened: I had just finished my speaker session at the Louvre at the Raise AI Summit in Paris, one of the world’s top AI conferences. My gf and I went to check a small backpack so we could enjoy the rest of the event. She asked first. The coat check lady said, “Too small. We only take large bags.” Odd Then I tried another staff member. He said the space was “full”. Except… we saw plenty of small bags and space right in front of us. As we were talking, another guest literally picked up a small bag from the exact desk we were being turned away from. So I asked, “How is it full if someone just took theirs?” They just repeated the same excuses. No answer. No eye contact. I was confused. Frustrated. Then I pulled up my sleeve and showed my wristband: “I’m a speaker here” Suddenly, everything changed. They smiled, took the bag, and said “Of course” Same bag. Same space. Different treatment. Was it because I didn’t look the part? My tech swag backpack? My wrinkled shirt? Or something deeper? It was very weird and disappointing. Why lie to our face—over a bag? Especially at a professional AI conference, where even the most basic ticket costs thousands. I don’t blame the conference organizers—it was likely a subcontractor—but it reminded me just how lucky I am to live in America. Capitalism isn't perfect. But I’ll take meritocracy over status-ism and elitism any day. This was a small moment. Silly, even. But it stayed with me—not because of the bag, but because of what it represented. Bias isn’t always loud or explicit. Sometimes it’s subtle. A sideways glance. A made-up excuse. A rule that only applies to some. And when these quiet human judgments are embedded into data, into models, they scale. As we stand on the edge of AGI and after Grok's social media mishap, it's more important than ever to call out the importance of developing safe, honest, responsible, fair and ethical AI. Because the next time bias shows up in AI, it won’t just be about coat check or an offense social media post. It could be someone getting denied a job Denied a loan Denied a voice AI doesn’t invent bias. It inherits it—from us. From our data. From moments just like this one. I decided to share this story because as AI Leaders—and as people with platforms— I was reminded of this quote: "Where you see wrong or inequality or injustice, speak out... This is your democracy... Protect it. Pass it on.” If you believe in building AI that works for everyone—please share this. Bias may start with a bag check. But if left unchecked, it can shape generations.

But I see service offering development as a leading indicator of real value creation instead of 'The oldest trick in the enterprise software playbook ...' 'Moving The Needle' (aka Transformation) in any co involves their people, process & technology. A 1 person co (People) doing things (Process) & using tools (Technology) typically has near full understanding of their operations. Scale to 50-1000+ people, 10+ departments and no one has full understanding of operations. Their People, Process & Technology volume reduces operational understanding. Service offering creation & demand is THE LEADING INDICATOR AI deployment is 'moving the needle' across cos. Otherwise, cos wouldn't be requesting the help & OEMs wouldn't invest in creating the service offerings. Everyone has a cpl yrs of AI trials under their belts - they've seen the promise & the difficulty. Now they're all in and they want help & speed! AI's service-assisted adoption curve mirrors earlier IT led transformations like ERP & PLM. But AI's breadth & impact is unlike any tech before it! What are you seeing?

Scott Brazina liked thisScott Brazina liked thisAfter 15 years at Qlik, I've decided that now is the right time—both personally and professionally—to begin my next chapter and say goodbye to this incredible company. I'll stay on through the transition to support Saugata as he steps into the CEO role and help ensure Qlik is set up for continued success. For those who work closely with me, you know I love a good metaphor, so here's one more: I like to think of my time at Qlik as chapters in an amazing book. And as I get ready to close mine, I want to take a moment to look back on the story we've collectively written. When I joined in 2011, we were already well into Chapter 1. We had one product (QlikView) and were a newly public company. Together, we wrote Chapter 2: we built and launched Qlik Sense and made the hard but necessary shift from a perpetual, on-premises product to a subscription and cloud business. Then came Chapter 3: private equity ownership gave us the opportunity to make a bold strategic bet, and through the acquisitions of Attunity and Talend, we built the Data Business Unit and doubled the size of the company. When I look back over the past 15 years, a few things stand out. One is our technology and the leaders behind it. We built something the industry recognizes as best in its class, and that recognition is a testament to the depth of talent across this company. Another is our mission, to make the world a better place through data. I think about the humanitarian work we've done together in our communities and through Qlik.org. I loved every part of shaping those chapters - the strategy, the writing, the healthy debates about the right path forward, and most importantly, the opportunity to build this business alongside so many talented and passionate people. But like any great book, it's the moments between the major plot points that make the story truly memorable. It's the unexpected details and shared experiences that stay with us: celebrating birthdays, sharing tears when we've lost people we loved, watching each other's children grow up, hallway conversations, spontaneous meals, shoulder-to-shoulder work on projects that mattered, and rooftop conversations that somehow seemed to solve the world's biggest problems. I think about the countless times we've brought together people from around the world - across companies, cultures, and perspectives - to build something truly extraordinary. The community that makes up the Qlik universe is what I'll carry with me, and it's what I'm most proud of when I reflect on this journey. To everyone who has helped write these chapters with me—thank you. It has been the privilege of my career, and I am incredibly grateful for the journey we have shared. For me, the next chapter is in draft mode, I am excited about all of the possibilities and opportunity ahead.

It’s exciting to be at the forefront of marketing for a Fortune 50 company like StoneX (Nasdaq: SNEX), and learning from genuinely brilliant colleagues. Finance is still a new world for me after years in tech, ad tech, media and gaming, but the craft of brand and marketing doesn't really change (even while I'm secretly googling finance terms... and, at one point, the rules of baseball at a Chicago Cubs game).

To address this problem, smart routing systems that route traffic fast and in a cost-effective manner are implemented. In one approach, smart routing systems measure, compare, and analyze round-trip latencies and other metrics between a customer premises and one or more endpoints. Conventional internet routing is handled using routing protocols such as the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP). However, simple BGP does not account for latency, packet loss, or cost. To address this problem, smart routing systems that route traffic fast and in a cost-effective manner are implemented. In one approach, smart routing systems measure, compare, and analyze round-trip latencies and other metrics between a customer premises and one or more endpoints. Optimal inbound and outbound transit providers are selected for each endpoint based on these measurements. Other smart routing systems collect and analyze Real User Monitoring (RUM) data to predict latency performance of different content origins for serving data to a particular client based on the client's IP address and the content origins' IP addresses, which are ranked by performance. These rankings are used to steer traffic along lower latency paths by resolving Domain Name System (DNS) queries based on the performance associated with the IP addresses.
