Sultan Ennab shared thisExcel is to accounting as AI is to your industry today. In the 1980s, critics panicked that electronic spreadsheets would eliminate accountants. Instead, Excel made math cheap, which exploded the demand for strategic financial analysis. We are watching the exact same economic principle—Jevons Paradox—play out in software engineering today. AI won't replace engineers; it will exponentially increase the volume and complexity of software the world requires. But there is a critical operational catch: AI won't fix a broken process. It just executes it faster. Deploying tools into a messy workflow simply creates a "Wall-of-Code"—thousands of lines of unreviewed syntax that nobody on your team can explain, defend, or safely change. The secret to navigating this shift isn't the tool. It's the sequencing: Operating model first, tools second. Want to go deeper? I've mapped out the exact historical business blueprint, the operational parallels, and how leaders can build deterministic guardrails around probabilistic tools to scale safely. Read the 3-minute full analysis in my article below. Let's discuss in the comments: How is your organization currently balancing velocity, quality, and risk? The Excel Blueprint: What the 1980s Spreadsheet Revolution Teaches Us About AI Code AssistantsThe Excel Blueprint: What the 1980s Spreadsheet Revolution Teaches Us About AI Code AssistantsSultan Ennab

Sultan Ennab shared thisA Stanford study found developers using AI coding assistants were 3.5x more likely to believe their insecure code was safe. Not less confident. More. I call the result the Wall-of-Code: thousands of AI-generated lines, prompted by someone without a software engineering background, that nobody can explain, defend, or safely change. It's already in production. An AI agent on Replit's platform deleted a live database mid-incident, then tried to conceal it. I've never seen a board ask for a post-mortem on a productivity win. I've seen plenty ask for one on a data loss event. This isn't an argument against AI-assisted development; I use it myself. It's an argument for sequencing: operating model first, tools second. I wrote up what that governance looks like, and what it costs to skip it.

Sultan Ennab shared thisThere is a pattern in every AI deployment that works, and it shows up at the same place most strategies stall. AI is a mirror. It reflects what's already there. A sound process gets amplified. A broken one gets executed faster, at greater scale, with greater consequence. This new article offers one argument I think is worth your time. https://lnkd.in/eG2WrYqW #AI #ArtificialIntelligence #GenerativeAI #AgenticAI #EnterpriseAI #AIStrategy #AILeadership #AIAdoption #DigitalTransformation #TechLeadership #ExecutiveInsights #DataFoundation #AIArchitecture #ProcessDesign #WorkflowAutomation #RAG #MLOps #EnergyIndustry #CriticalInfrastructure #GridModernization #GridPlanning #EnergyTransition #PowerSystems #HealthcareAI #RegulatoryAffairs #BusinessStrategy #OperationalExcellence #Innovation #FutureOfWork #LinkedInTech #MITProfessionalEducation #MachineLearning #LLM #DataStrategy #TechInnovationAI Is a Mirror, Not a Magic Wand. Sultan Ennab shared thisProud to share completing MIT Professional Education's No Code AI and Machine Learning: Building Data Science Solutions: 80 hours of rigorous learning alongside an exceptional global cohort from 14+ countries and 48+ industries. As a technology and executive leader, staying at the AI frontier isn't optional; it's a responsibility. I went back to MIT with a working knowledge and experience of AI and left with something more valuable: a sharper, validated framework for AI deployment and a deeper command of what's genuinely new. This program didn't just affirm what I already knew. It expanded it. The capstone was the highlight, a challenging exercise that pushed me to design and build a practical agentic AI system with real business utility. That work alone was worth the investment. To my fellow business and technology executive leaders and anyone making AI implementation decisions: If you're evaluating AI adoption in your organization, this program belongs on your shortlist. Not because it teaches you to code, but because it gives you the conceptual authority to lead AI transformation with confidence. The vendor conversations/consultants, the important culture shifts, the build-vs-buy calls, the team questions, this program sharpens all of them. AI literacy at the leadership level is no longer optional. MIT makes it achievable. Sultan Ennab liked thisSultan Ennab liked thisToday we are announcing a $468M credit facility from Export-Import Bank of the United States to fund a massive ramp in satellite production here in America. For a New Prime like Astranis, it's a huge vote of confidence from the United States Government. “Astranis is delivering mission-critical infrastructure to customers around the world at unprecedented speed and scale,” said EXIM Chairman John Jovanovic. “We are confident this is just the beginning. Under President Trump’s leadership, EXIM will continue to help the United States stay ahead of the curve in developing the industries of the future and boost American competitiveness around the globe.” This means we have capital to build more satellites in the United States and get them into orbit faster. As we sign new customers, this helps us move from contract to satellites in orbit at the speed our customers need. Astranis's satellites serve a huge unmet need. This year we've signed some of our biggest and most important deals yet. Earlier this month we announced a partnership with stc group for a dedicated satellite for Saudi Arabia. We have more than $1B in contracts to deliver, and now we can ramp up production to meet this demand and do our part to help re-industrialize America. Thank you to EXIM for backing us. Now, back to building for the Expansion Era.

Sultan Ennab liked thisSultan Ennab liked this25 years can go by quickly when work and your personal life keep evolving ... and when people keep giving you reasons to care deeply about it. Today marks 25 years at UKG and what I really think about are the people who I’ve had the opportunity to learn from along the way. Colleagues and leaders who challenged my thinking. Teams who continue to show up for customers on the good days and the stressful days. Customers who were candid enough to trust us with their feedback. My family and friends who encouraged me to grow and find purpose. That purpose is the millions of frontline workers whose everyday experiences remind me why our work matters. It’s crazy how much has changed since my first day across technology, the market, and the business. One thing still matters to me: great customer experiences still come down to people taking proactive ownership, caring about the outcome, and working together to make things better. To anyone who helped me get here, gave me a laugh when I needed it, and made the journey more meaningful along the way — thank you!

Sultan Ennab liked thisSultan Ennab liked thisThere is a lot of debate about whether AI-written code is "good," and I think it misses the more interesting shift. As far as I can tell, a growing amount of working software now exists that nobody, human or model, can fully explain. And when Andrej Karpathy coined "vibe coding" last year, this was part of the definition. Accept all, don't read the diffs, paste the error back in, see what happens. It was half joke, half method, and the method turned out to work more often than it had any right to. A workflow that violates every single rule of software engineering keeps producing software that runs. I do this too. Claude Code or Codex builds something in an afternoon that would have taken me a week, the tests pass, I ship it. A few observations from doing this for a while: 1 - "It works" and "I know why it works" have become two separate achievements. Most of us only track the first one, because the first one is what the demo shows. 2 - The model does not carry the explanation with it. Every new session starts from zero. The system prompt, the CLAUDE.md, the git history are the only memory there is, and most people's are thin. You end up with code whose author no longer exists. 3 - The failure is delayed, not absent. Nothing goes wrong on day one. It goes wrong when a dependency changes, when the thing has to scale, or when a colleague opens the repo and asks a reasonable question that nobody can answer. 4 - The instinct to leave a working thing alone is deeply human. It is also how every organization ended up with a mainframe job nobody dares to retire. We are speedrunning that history, in weeks instead of decades. I think of the gap as understanding debt. Handled well, it works like technical debt: you take it on knowingly, you know the rate, you pay it down while the code is still fresh in someone's head. The problem is that most people don't know they are borrowing, because the tooling makes borrowing feel free. This is not an argument against letting AI build things. The productivity is real and I am not giving it back. It is an argument for spending some of the time it gives back on reading what it made, asking the model to explain its own design decisions, writing the two paragraphs of architecture notes that future-you will need. The models are surprisingly good teachers about their own code, if you ask. We don't know yet how much of the software being written this way will still be running, unexplained, in five years. I suspect a lot. But still. If you want to build things with Claude Code and agents that you can actually explain afterwards, I am running a free webinar on exactly that, as the opener for my next cohort. Last time, more than 2,000 people joined. Waitlist: https://hitl.es/waitlist

AWS just dropped the axe on resell partners’ profits. What now? The 🐘elephant🐘 in the room at re:Invent. Cross-Customer Reserve Instances(RIs) and Savings Plans(SP) were a common way to grow resell margins for AWS partners. Now that’s over, and some partners took a 50% cut in profits. What do you do - invest in Services Here are the 9 things you can do immediately: 1.From new logos to growing existing accounts Most resell partners are used to chasing new logos and riding the wave of growth. The best service-focused partners generate 90% of billable hours from existing clients. Turn your focus inwards. 2. Spot the low-hanging fruit. Some accounts are negative margin because of past discounts. Some accounts are gearing up for growth and have PS potential written all over them. Use the reselling data as your account intelligence. Anything starts changing within an account - build a plan to engage. 3. Create a discovery motion. You now have a huge list of easy-to-access accounts. Use relationships and data to generate engagements. Engage around infra change and things you anticipate your client is wrking on. Use that to discover more. Magic happens after 3 interactions. 4. Have your service playbooks ready.. Review past projects, map potential with the technical team, and build clear execution playbooks: Use cases, client profiles, signals for buying, battle cards and a place to log in the discover info. Make sure your team practices 5. Stop winging client calls. "Just checking in" doesn't drive up sales. IT ANNOYS CLIENTS Instead: “I have noticed there are several anomalies on your account related to AWS CodePipeline, is that around the CI/CD project you talked with support about. What are the plans for next year with that?” 6. Nail the process with an account 360 - every week or two, have your sales/AM team overview each account: Support tickets, billing review (with FinOps), project progress, past discoveries. Once the team masters the process, results will come. 7. Registrations are your new margin- It's clear that compensation is shifting to CoSell and Service registration. Make sure that each time you engage, each service you provide, everything is registered 8. Get vendor support - Similar to registrations. Show your PDM the work you are doing - once you zone on a target and ability (e.g., proactive GenAI conversations with a relevant client list), you will get more trust, more support and ultimately more leads from AWS around your topic of expertise. 9. Time to audit your tool stack – You’re no longer using a single payer as a shared RI/SP arbitrage machine., Your rebilling needs are different now. With tools like AWS Billing Conductor handling custom pricing, discounts and chargeback, it’s a perfect time to ask: is my billing solution aligned to my strategic goals (of more services) or is it time to reconsider?

Nvidia just convinced Goldman Sachs, BlackRock, and KKR to treat GPUs like real estate. 500 billion dollars in financing to turn AI compute into a tradeable asset class. → Wall Street firms will finance GPU purchases the way they finance buildings and infrastructure. → Companies can lease compute instead of buying it, lowering the barrier to AI development. → Nvidia gets guaranteed demand for its chips. Wall Street gets a new revenue stream. For AI Education Series, this changes everything: AI compute is no longer a tech expense. It's a financial instrument. Enterprise AI is not about hype. It’s about execution. We’re convening a private AI Leadership Roundtable in San Diego on April 7 with a select group of CIOs, CTOs, and senior leaders. An invitation-only dinner built for one thing: clarity. What leaders are discussing: • What is working in AI deployment today • Where investments are not translating into value • Governance, risk, and accountability • Preparing organizations for AI-native operations This is a focused, peer-led exchange. Small group. High trust. Real insights. If you are leading AI initiatives at scale, request an invitation here: https://lnkd.in/gQDEQX_8

Margin pressure is accelerating across the IT channel as large language models reduce search-driven web traffic, digital distribution platforms shift control of cloud and AI procurement, and private equity firms systematize AI consulting into repeatable operating models. • OpenAI and Anthropic are partnering with private equity (Blackstone, Hellman & Friedman, Thrive Holdings, Shield Technology Partners), creating joint ventures to package AI deployment and consulting—expanding standardized, portfolio-wide operating structures that compress differentiation among service providers. • The Global Technology Distribution Council (GTDC) reports that 86% of IT vendors are adopting or piloting digital partner platforms, and 60% have direct hyperscaler ties, compressing the traditional route to market and increasing downstream dependency on platforms governed by others. • Studies show AI summaries in search now decrease clicks on third-party sites by up to 89% and, in SMB environments, 53% already use AI tools, yet only 3% of organizations see real business transformation—indicating automation value is being captured upstream while service providers shoulder operational complexity and support. The cumulative effect is that MSPs and IT leaders face shrinking margins and increased risk if they do not build proprietary governance and integration capabilities, as reliance on standardized vendor playbooks grows. 🔊 Listen on Business of Tech: https://lnkd.in/eHX8hJP9 📺 Watch on YouTube: https://lnkd.in/egUgPtJa 🇪🇸 ¿Habla español?: https://lnkd.in/e5ur76Wp #ManagedServices #ITServices #AIInfrastructure #VendorStrategy #ChannelEconomics

A quiet milestone - but one that could reshape computing! Last month, Starcloud successfully launched its "Starcloud-1" satellite, carrying the first NVIDIA H100 GPU ever to operate in space. At just around 60 kg (about the size of a small refrigerator), this small satellite now hosts a data-center-class processor in orbit, and it is already confirmed to be functioning and stable. What makes this a meaningful moment is not just the novelty. An H100 in orbit can deliver orders of magnitude more AI compute than any system that has previously flown in space. This demonstrates the viability of running advanced AI workloads directly in orbit, enabling real-time processing of Earth-observation data and reducing the need to send massive streams of raw data back to the ground. There is also a broader vision emerging: space-based cloud computing. In space, solar energy is effectively constant, and thermal radiation can be used for cooling instead of water-intensive infrastructure. If these early demonstrations scale, we may eventually see parts of the cloud migrate off-planet, helping address sustainability and capacity challenges faced by terrestrial data centers. It is interesting that such a significant achievement received relatively little attention. Yet, it could mark the beginning of a new paradigm in how we deploy and operate high-performance computing systems. Looking forward to seeing what comes next in the evolution of AI, space technology, and the very concept of “cloud” infrastructure. #AI #CloudComputing #Sustainability #DataCenters #Innovation

The NVIDIA ecosystem now reaches the market through every major route: hyperscalers, cloud providers, AInative clouds, enterprise IT, sovereign deployments, and industrial systems. Our business is broad and diversified. AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure are expected to be among the first major cloud providers to deploy Vera Rubin– based infrastructure. Meta expanded to a multi-year, multigenerational strategic partnership spanning onpremises, cloud, and AI infrastructure. CoreWeave, Nebius, Nscale, and many other AI clouds continue to expand AI factory capacity. OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI, and new frontier and open model builders are scaling on NVIDIA. We are also extending that reach into on-prem and air-gapped deployments. With partners such as Palantir and Dell, we are enabling customers to stand up AI platforms in any country, region, or field environment where privacy, sovereignty, resilience, and control matter most. To help customers design, build, and operate AI factories, we provide reference designs, blueprints, and a partner ecosystem

Validate partner CSVs from SFTP nightly and load clean data into Airtable, with instant error alerts. Today’s idea automates the intake of files from an SFTP server. Each night, it pulls a CSV file, validates header structure, required fields, and order ID uniqueness. If any issues are found—like missing columns or bad data types—it sends a Slack summary and creates a Jira ticket with details. Clean rows are uploaded directly to Airtable (or Postgres), and logs are retained for audit purposes. Nodes/APIs: • Cron • SFTP • Spreadsheet File • Function • IF • Airtable • Slack • Jira Benefits: • Eliminates manual CSV QA and rework • Prevents bad data from entering downstream systems • Speeds order ingestion Interested in exploring how this n8n workflow could save your company time & money?
