Teresa Czubak shared thisExcited and honored to be one of the founding members of the Clarion Performance Team. Building something from the ground up with a group of talented, driven people is a rare opportunity, and I’m grateful to be part of a team focused on pushing standards higher and delivering real impact. Looking forward to what we’ll accomplish together and to the journey ahead!Teresa Czubak shared thisClarion Capital Partners is proud to announce the formation of the Clarion Performance Team (“CPT”). Value creation has always been at the core of how we invest and operate. The CPT formalizes and builds on the hands-on work we’ve been executing alongside our portfolio companies for years — now strengthened through a dedicated team singularly focused on driving impact. The CPT partners directly with management teams to identify and activate the operational, financial, and technological levers unique to each business. Leveraging deep subject-matter expertise and proven playbooks, the team helps accelerate growth, enhance performance, and improve exit readiness through tailored, company-specific strategies. From innovation and operational improvement to talent development, M&A integration, and performance management, the CPT is designed to execute with greater focus, alignment, and precision — delivering measurable, sustainable results across our portfolio. We’re excited about this next evolution of the Clarion platform and the enhanced value it brings to our management teams and investors. I’m especially looking forward to the conversations around family dynamics and succession. In my experience, these are rarely questions one advisor can address alone. The best work happens when people with different expertise share what they’re seeing, listen to one another, and keep the family at the centre of it. I’m excited to learn more about the Institute and meet peers coming together from Europe, the US and beyond for this first gathering. If you’ll be there tomorrow, please say hello. 😊

That was one of the key conversations at Innovation Tourism Talks 2026 in Guatemala, where we were proud to join CATA CENTROAMERICA, tourism leaders, destination organizations, and industry stakeholders from across the region. Through presentations from Franz Wolfgang Müller Sarmiento and Olivier Ponti, we shared how travel intelligence, destination analytics, and data-driven marketing strategies can help destinations better understand traveler behavior and emerging demand, measure marketing impact, and identify future opportunities for growth. Key insights highlighted the continued strength of international travel demand to Central America, Panama's leadership in regional growth and connectivity, the value of longer-stay European travelers, and the accelerating demand for premium travel experiences. The data also revealed new opportunities for destinations, airlines, and hoteliers to work together to attract the right travelers and support sustainable tourism growth. Thank you to Karina Cantó and the team at CATA, including Boris Iraheta, General Secretary; Anna Evelyn Valdez Meléndez and Luisa Fernanda Rodriguez Quiroa from INGUAT; Alejandro Medina Lopera, CEO of MyM Soluciones Tecnológicas; presenter David Castello Brunet. from International Media House; and all the tourism authorities, destination leaders, and industry experts who joined the discussion and shared their perspectives on the future of tourism across Central America. The future of destination marketing is not just about having more data. It’s about making better decisions with it.

Teresa Czubak reacted on thisTeresa Czubak reacted on thisDunbar's Number got a surprising amount of airtime with clients and prospects when I started ValuesCulture in 2016. See comments for a link to more on Dunbar's Number, but, in a nutshell, it's an academic's theory of the number of stable relationships an individual can comfortably maintain, and it's c. 150. Often, Dunbar's Number came up when discussing how carefully defining their Organizational Values could help them scale their positive cultures beyond the limits that any one person's social connections can sustain. In the early days of a startup, a strong connection with a founder can act as a substitute source of Organizational Values clarity before the culture is codified. But Dunbar's Number might suggest that this could begin to break when your organization hits 150 people—or maybe sooner if the group isn't co-located or becomes hierarchical. To cut a long story short, ValuesCulture was honored to do some very enjoyable and transformative culture codification projects over the last decade with wonderful clients in a wide variety of industries, and for that I'm eternally grateful. Then a strange thing happened. For one early client, part of their investment in careful culture curation was asking ValuesCulture to backfill their retiring HR Leader with a Culture-centric Chief People Officer. Fast forward to August 2026, and People/Talent Executive Search has become the busiest part of ValuesCulture's work; we've now hit Dunbar's Number: 150 People/Talent leaders placed! While I can't list every wonderful hiring manager, stellar People/Talent leader, or friend who made a warm introduction here - let me mention a few and sincerely thank ALL THOSE who made this journey possible with a very full and grateful heart! Texas expanded the Business Court's jurisdiction over the summer – how does this impact your Texas business? House Bill 40, effective September 1, 2025, lowered the amount-in-controversy threshold from $10 million to $5 million for several commercial dispute categories and added new jurisdiction over intellectual property, technology, trade secret, and arbitration-related claims. That means more Texas businesses now have access to a specialized court led by judges with commercial law experience – and potentially faster, more predictable resolution of high-stakes disputes. But jurisdiction is only the first question. Whether the Texas Business Court is the right forum for your dispute depends on the facts, your litigation goals, and some real tradeoffs worth understanding before you file. Houston business attorney Trey Hendershot breaks it all down in our latest article: https://ow.ly/Wj1B50YrfS5

Orion Legal MSO

For nearly two decades, Rainwater, Holt & Sexton has built one of Arkansas’ largest personal injury firms, with a longstanding reputation for high-quality legal representation and a deep connection with clients. Today, they join Uplift Investors' Orion Legal MSO as a co-founding partner firm. With more than 40 attorneys and 150 staff members serving clients from eight offices across Arkansas, Rainwater has remained firmly rooted in the communities it serves and committed to the clients who have shaped its growth. Founding partners Mike Rainwater and Bob Sexton will also serve as members of Orion’s National Advisory Board. In Mike’s words: “For nearly two decades, we’ve grown Rainwater by staying focused on a simple principle: prioritizing our clients above all and being there for our fellow Arkansans when they need us most. As we look to the future, we want to ensure our attorneys and staff have everything they need to keep delivering on that commitment. We believe Orion shares our values and understands what makes Rainwater special, and this partnership will allow us to build on what we’ve created while continuing to raise the bar for our clients and our team.” That’s the Orion model in action: providing non-legal operational support in marketing, finance, technology, talent and administrative infrastructure, while preserving firm independence. Rainwater will remain 100% owned by the Rainwater Holt and Sexton lawyers who will continue as such to direct the firm’s legal practice. IP powerhouse Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner has officially opened its first Texas office in Dallas, marking the firm's first U.S. expansion in roughly 20 years. Why Texas? The state has become a magnet for high-stakes patent litigation and a booming hub for tech, life sciences, energy, and advanced manufacturing. Managing partner James Barney notes that nearly a third of Finnegan's litigation is already tied to Texas courts, and that share keeps growing. Leading the charge: 🔸 Hope Shimabuku — former Regional Director of the USPTO's Southwest Regional Outreach Office 🔸 Christian Hurt — trial and appellate partner joining from McKool Smith Both bring deep Texas roots and courtroom experience, positioning Finnegan to offer full-service IP support — litigation, prosecution, and counseling — right at the center of where innovation is being built and tested. A smart, strategic move that reflects a bigger trend: as business and innovation migrate to Texas, so does the legal talent that supports it. Is optimism about a new practice area, office, or service line outrunning your firm’s financial capacity? For Houston law firms, expansion should be a strategic investment: not a leap of faith. Salter Shield Recovery uses a disciplined CFO Advisory framework: 1️⃣ Listen First: clarify strategic goals, partner capacity, referral pipeline, staffing, technology, culture, and client-service commitments. 2️⃣ Model the runway: build 12-, 24-, and 36-month scenarios: with cash needs, hiring timing, overhead, revenue ramp, break-even point, and payback period. 3️⃣ Set investment gates: approve funding in stages, tied to evidence: not enthusiasm. Track leading indicators such as qualified referrals, signed matters, realization, utilization, hiring readiness, and cash visibility. 4️⃣ Define stop/go triggers: decide in advance when to accelerate, pause, redesign, or stop the expansion. 5️⃣ Review after launch: compare actual performance to the model, protect culture and client service, and update the plan before the next capital commitment. The goal is to move beyond compliant to optimized: with numbers in a box, a peace-of-mind closeout, and a bulletproof decision process. From our Houston home base, we provide personalized, one-on-one CFO Advisory, financial education, and year-round support remotely for firms nationwide. Family values guide how we listen, advise, and help legal leaders grow with clarity.
