"Be still, and know that I am God" Psalm 46 Live in the magnificence of the moment. Most of us have a tendency to live in the past or the future. How often do you find yourself thinking about what happened yesterday, or what might happen tomorrow? How does this affect your life and well-being? Constantly thinking about the past and worrying about the future can make it difficult to enjoy the good things in your life now. Learning how to be more mindful and live in the moment can give you a greater appreciation for your life, also reducing feelings of stress, depression, and anxiety.

Todd R. reposted thisTodd R. reposted this“Don’t talk about the product!” It’s from a rare 1997 clip of Steve Jobs unveiling the genius behind Apple’s Think Different campaign. And he was right. People don’t fall in love with products. They fall in love with stories. With values. With a vision that stirs something deep inside. Back then, Apple didn’t talk about specs, gigabytes, or screen size. They spoke about the crazy ones, the rebels, the misfits - the ones who dared to see the world differently. And that idea gave people an identity, not just a computer. It makes me think about healthcare - and our own health journeys. We’re often tempted to focus on the “product”: the treatment, the pills, the data. But healing has never been just about the product. It’s about the story we carry - about who we are, what we value, and why we keep moving forward. That’s why Jobs’ words still matter today: When you want to move hearts, don’t start with the product. Start with the purpose. Purpose is what we remember. Purpose is what fuels change. And purpose is what keeps us alive inside. ✨ 👉 What’s a moment where you chose to lead with purpose, not product? #leadership #healthcare #marketing #stevejobs #health VC: Social Media

Todd R. reposted thisTodd R. reposted thisThere is an updated chart here https://lnkd.in/ev4PuDHQ 🚨 PLM Market Watch: Who Could Buy PTC? Here’s the Landscape in One Glance In light of renewed acquisition rumors around PTC, I mapped out the most plausible suitors—and rated them across 6 critical factors: ✅ Fit with PTC’s portfolio ✅ Cultural clash potential ✅ Overlap (are they direct competitors?) ✅ Feasibility (can they afford it?) ✅ M&A bandwidth (are they too busy?) ✅ Likelihood (all things considered) 🔴 = Significant barrier 🟡 = Mixed signals 🟢 = Strategic alignment and readiness 💡 Key Takeaways: 🎯 SAP is the front-runner: strong fit, minimal overlap, and a long-standing PLM gap they could finally close. 🎯 Synopsys is a dark horse: high complementarity with little cultural or product clash. 🎯 Rockwell and Schneider Electric/AVEVA make strategic sense but may lack the financial muscle for a full buyout. 🎯 AWS, Oracle, and IBM have the money but face major cultural and product hurdles. 🎯 Microsoft is intriguing—deep cloud integration and enterprise reach, but PTC might be too peripheral to their strategy. 📈 Which scenario seems most likely to you? Would you bet on a bold move—or a quiet status quo? 👇 Let’s discuss in the comments. #PTC #PLM #CAD #DigitalThread #Industry40 #ProductDevelopment #MergersAndAcquisitions #CloudPLM #ManufacturingTech #PTCFireSale

Todd R. reposted thisTodd R. reposted thisThe stunning cloud that forms around the F-22 Raptor (at around the 7-second mark) is called a vapour cone. It's due to rapid pressure changes as it nears the speed of sound, a phenomenon known as transonic flight. It’s not a sonic boom, but it’s a sign the jet is getting very close. This typically happens between Mach 0.8 and Mach 1.2, when the jet is near but not necessarily at supersonic speed. The cloud itself is water vapour. As the pressure drops sharply around the aircraft, the temperature also falls. If the humidity is high enough, water condenses suddenly, forming that dramatic vapour cone. It typically occurs when the aircraft is accelerating rapidly in moist conditions, just short of the speed of sound. Any aeronautical engineers or aviation buffs who can tell us more? Edit (as pointed out by some commenters): It's mostly a function of temperature, humidity and aerodynamic design. It happens at relatively low speeds as well Edit 2: No, it's not a vapour cone (clearly and extensively explained now in various comments). I need to include this here, as some people still lose their minds when reading this. - 🔔 I often post on engineering, infrastructure and industry. If that is your thing, follow me for more.

Todd R. shared thisWOW!!Todd R. shared thisAn F/A-18 landing on an aircraft carrier is one of the most challenging feats in aviation, often described as a "controlled crash." The pilot must align perfectly with the moving flight deck, which is often only 500 feet long and pitching with the waves. A fascinating detail is the tailhook system: the F/A-18 deploys a hook to catch one of four arresting wires on the deck, stopping the jet in just 2-3 seconds. Pilots rely heavily on the "meatball," a visual landing aid, to maintain the correct glide path, ensuring a precise and safe touchdown in even the most demanding conditions. Todd R. reposted thisTodd R. reposted thisVijay Diwas…Rare Video of Surrender In December 1971, the Pakistan Army suffered a historic defeat in the Indo-Pak War, leading to its unconditional surrender to the Indian Army on December 16. The conflict was triggered by political and ethnic tensions in East Pakistan (now Bangladesh), where the Bengali population demanded independence due to years of political and economic marginalization. Pakistan’s military launched a brutal crackdown in March 1971, resulting in widespread atrocities and the displacement of millions of refugees to India. India, under Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, intervened in December 1971 to support the Mukti Bahini, the Bengali liberation forces. The Indian Army, led by General Sam Manekshaw, launched a swift and coordinated campaign on both the eastern and western fronts. Within 13 days, Indian forces captured Dhaka, East Pakistan’s capital. On December 16, 1971, Lieutenant General A.A.K. Niazi, commander of Pakistan’s Eastern Command, signed the Instrument of Surrender in Dhaka. Over 93,000 Pakistani troops became prisoners of war, marking one of the largest surrenders in military history. The war led to the creation of Bangladesh as an independent nation, drastically altering South Asia’s geopolitical landscape. The surrender highlighted Pakistan’s military miscalculations and remains a significant chapter in the region’s history.

New story up Latitude Media this afternoon: Ormat Technologies, Inc., the OG of the conventional geothermal industry, just signed a strategic partnership with next-generation upstart Sage Geosystems. As part of the deal, Sage will debut its technology at an existing Ormat power plant in Nevada or Utah, drilling below the facility's currently-tapped underground reservoir to reach dry, hot heat. Hexagon Manufacturing… • 8K followers
At Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence - Americas, we’re not just identifying the industry’s biggest challenges. We’re building smart, practical solutions to overcome them. For example, we unveiled the Autonomous Metrology Suite (AMS) during Hexagon Live 2025. This new addition to our cloud-based Nexus platform is going to streamline quality control for manufacturers who are still battling clunky, inefficient processes. It’s designed to address a critical challenge for manufacturers today: ongoing workforce transitions and labor shortages. By creating a no-code environment for coordinate measuring machines (CMM), AMS makes it possible for new operators to get up and running with minimal training. Leveraging digital twins, it ensures the correct inspection program always reaches the right machine, helping to eliminate possible human error. It helps guide and train both new and expert users through the process, democratizing access to metrology. This is critical in a world where finding experienced metrologists and programmers isn’t getting any easier, especially with nearly half a million open roles in manufacturing. AMS features multiple applications, including our Metrology Mentor app which standardizes measurement techniques by automatically generating ISO- and ASME-compliant inspection programs directly from CAD. It also includes Metrology Reporting, which consolidates data from Hexagon and 3rd party systems to provide live batch quality analytics and insight, and Metrology Asset Manager which keeps watch over calibration status, machine operation, environmental factors and more to help users understand overall equipment effectiveness. Our research shows manufacturers are facing an urgent need to upskill and reskill - which is why Hexagon is focusing here. During the launch of The Autonomous Metrology Suite at Hexagon Live, Doug Honig and Greg Holdsworth had their hands full with live demos and questions from customers excited about the new technology. Thank you to the entire team responsible for this launch! Read more in the announcement here: https://bit.ly/4lcHv8o #Manufacturing #Metrology #CMM #QualityControl #Innovation Nexus by Hexagon

Hexagon Manufacturing… • 8K followers
Yesterday I highlighted Hexagon's Maestro product launch but having launched countless products that have redefined industries, I’ve learned one core truth: a product launch lives or dies by timing and alignment. As Mary Sheehan says in "The Pocket Guide to Product Launches": “The biggest challenge is actually getting the timing right… In order to get [product and marketing] humming together in perfect alignment, it's quite an undertaking.” Especially in larger organizations where the product management team might be more used to a mature features/functions centric approach OR maybe not comfortable sharing with marketing until very very late in the process OR where there are too many product launches happening at similar timings. To cut through the noise and dominate, you need to get these 5 things right: 1️⃣ Alignment & Timing -- and I cannot emphasize this more. Misaligned timelines between product, marketing, and sales are the #1 killer of launch momentum. Marketing must be at the table early - before the roadmap becomes reality. In complex engineering products it is even more challenging since there could be an idea that "what does marketing know about products" - which needs to be shifted to "marketing can help us to be more customer-centric" 2️⃣ Positioning & Messaging Start with the “why.” Why now? Why this product? Why does it matter to this segment? Strong positioning isn’t just for PR - it fuels every touchpoint that follows. 3️⃣ PR & Media Strategy Plan to earn attention. That means embargoes, executive interviews, media partnerships, and a newsworthy angle that hijacks the news. Don’t just announce - take over the conversation. 4️⃣ GTM & Demand Generation Launches are pipeline events. From campaigns to content to customer stories, your GTM motion should be orchestrated to activate both brand and demand - before, during, and after day one. 5️⃣ Sales Enablement If your sales team isn’t ready, your market isn’t either. Train and equip them with demos, ppts, email material in SFSDC and tools that help them sell the story - not just the spec sheet. So here’s the question: Who owns what? The NPI (New Product Introduction) process primarily lives in product management - but who owns building a story so good it could compete with a #Netflix series? #ProductLaunch #GoToMarket #MarketingLeadership #ProductMarketing

🇺🇸 The U.S. has the copper—but not the capacity to refine it. Despite rich domestic resources, America still ships raw copper abroad for processing, then re-imports it—while China controls ~70% of global refining. With copper demand set to jump from 27M to 37M tonnes by 2050, this refining gap risks becoming a bottleneck for EVs, clean energy, and national security. ⛔ High costs, red tape, and permitting delays are stalling new projects. If the U.S. wants to lead the energy transition, it must rebuild its refining backbone—urgently. #Copper #EnergySecurity #CriticalMinerals #USMining #CleanEnergy #SupplyChain #Electrification #BatteryMetals #CopperRefining #MiningIndustry Terea Africa Ltd

Tungsten doesn’t usually grab headlines. But maybe it should. When I sat down with Ali Haji, CEO of American Tungsten Corp. (CSE: TUNG | OTCQB: DEMRF | FSE: RK9), for today's new episode of Dig Deep The Mining Podcast, I didn’t expect such a compelling mix of urgency, strategy and technical ambition.
