The brats, beer, cheddar and soft pretzel components are a natural Wisconsin combination. I also love that you can assemble these and freeze them ahead, making them a perfect recipe for the busy host. I am also a fan of recipes that have the majority of the work on the front end so that you can easily finish the recipe as party time nears.
Swap option: Italian sausage can replace the bratwurst if needed.
