I run Ubuntu 24.04 (gnome 46) and I would like to connect a microscope digital camera to my laptop. I am also looking to measure part of the images so I need a calibration system. I am aware of micro manager but it requires compiling from source. Any easier options?

Do you need to calibrate on the go when you capture an image, or is it ok to first capture an image and do the calibration later on the image file?Archisman Panigrahi– Archisman Panigrahi2025-11-19 00:55:32 +00:00Commented Nov 19, 2025 at 0:55

I hadn't used the command lines you suggested. I will try and reinstall that way and let you know. Many thanks againMassimo D'Accordi– Massimo D'Accordi2025-11-20 08:06:31 +00:00Commented Nov 20, 2025 at 8:06
