The ocean will finally be protected beyond borders. After nearly two decades of negotiations, the landmark High Seas Treaty officially goes into effect today. For the first time ever, there is now a global legal framework to protect biodiversity and ensure the sustainable use of the areas of the ocean that are beyond national jurisdiction. Countries will now begin the critical work of implementation, including planning for the first meeting of the treaty’s decision-making body and laying the groundwork for new marine protected areas. The treaty also supports global momentum toward broader biodiversity goals, including the international pledge to protect 30% of the world’s land and ocean by 2030. But the work has only just begun—the more countries that join the treaty, the more effective it will be. You can help by calling on your leaders to take action. Via @atmos Instagram

2025 wasn’t an easy year to build delicious brands. Costs shifted, supply chains stayed unpredictable, and for many small-scale CPG founders, every decision carried a little more weight. It was a year that required patience, creativity, and a willingness to keep moving forward even when the path wasn’t clear. At Langley Foods, we spent 2025 doing what we do best: helping founders turn good ideas into real products — and helping growing brands stay steady when things got complicated. From first test batches to scaling production, reformulating, troubleshooting, and planning next steps, we worked alongside brands navigating a changing landscape with determination and care. What stood out most this year was the resilience of the founders we work with. Despite tighter margins and new challenges, we saw brands adapt, refine, and push forward with clarity and purpose. Being trusted as a partner in that process — especially during a tougher year — is something we don’t take for granted. As we look toward 2026, we’re feeling focused and optimistic. There’s momentum building — new ideas, new brands, and new opportunities to support founders who are ready to take the next step. We’re excited to keep doing the work that matters: building strong foundations, creating scalable solutions, and helping Canadian food brands thrive. Here’s to a challenging year that taught us a lot — and to an even better one ahead.

Crafted by a woman-owned, purpose-driven team of non-drinkers, Finally! is all about connection, community, and joy — without centering alcohol. Their softly bubbled Mojito bursts with fresh lime and local mint, while the Spicy Lime Margarita brings the perfect mix of heat and citrus. Every can doesn’t just taste good — it does good. Finally! donates 1% for the Planet and gives 5% of profits to mental-health initiatives, extending their mission of care far beyond the beverage. Their packaging is 100% recyclable, too. We’re so proud to welcome Finally! to the Langley Foods family. Here’s to inclusive moments, meaningful connections, and sips everyone can celebrate 🌿🥂
