It was a privilege to be part of that journey, and looking back, it’s incredible to see where that journey led. Over the past decade, we established Flowcate as the mobile wayfinding platform of choice for many of North America’s largest and most complex events and trade shows, including CES, Microsoft Ignite, AWS re:Invent, NVIDIA GTC, SAP Sapphire, and many more. In the years following the pandemic, I had the opportunity to play a key role in Flowcate’s transition beyond event technology, commercializing the first fully interoperable location intelligence platform built on the omlox open locating standard, enabling organizations to unify location data across technologies and providing a foundation for emerging physical AI applications. If there’s one lesson I’ll take from this incredible experience, it’s that great technology alone isn’t enough. Commercial success comes from applying the right technology to the right problem and translating its value into a story that customers immediately understand. That’s what I enjoyed most throughout my time at Flowcate: working across product, partnerships, marketing, and sales to bridge the gap between technical innovation and commercial success. Every role came with new challenges, new friendships, and valuable lessons that I'll carry forward in my career. Some of the most memorable moments include brushing shoulders with Luis Diaz and James Rodriguez at COL vs SUI, as well as rolling out the cooler for the hydration break during ALG v SUI! A huge thank you to everyone at FIFA, the volunteer management team, and all of the amazing volunteers and staff I had the privilege of working with. Your support, leadership, and enthusiasm made these experiences truly unforgettable. Jeff Sinclair, ICD.D liked thisJeff Sinclair, ICD.D liked thisAs the final whistle blew on the FIFA World Cup 2026, it also marked the end of an unforgettable chapter for me. Over the past month, I had the opportunity to work as a Host Broadcast Liaison Assistant at BC Place, supporting broadcast operations and helping media teams from around the world throughout the tournament. Every match brought new challenges, new lessons, and the chance to work alongside incredibly talented people. The biggest highlight, though, was the people I met and the friendships I made (Humshinee Kalaiselvan, Assia Nathu, Joanna D. ,Sid Tierney Sofia Corzo Garcia). It was amazing to see how football brings together people from so many different countries, cultures, and backgrounds. A huge thank you to everyone who made this experience so memorable. As someone who has loved football for as long as I can remember, being part of the FIFA World Cup in Vancouver is something I’ll always be grateful for.

With more than 8,000 developers participating both in person and virtually from around the globe, the event was designed to give attendees practical tools, real-world applications, and opportunities to build, test, and innovate. Across four days, GPJ supported: ✨ 1 Keynote, launching Workday Build’s Developer Agent 🔥 22 ancillary events 📚 98 learning sessions 🌙 DevCon After Dark 🌎 Attendees from over 26+ countries 👾 and one 24-hour hackathon that brought together 362 developers—with a seamless experience extending through a rebroadcast for APAC audiences. One standout moment was the DevCon Developer Kit (DDK), an interactive, hackable badge created by GPJ's creative and technology teams that drove engagement, sparked social conversation, and quickly became a signature part of the event experience. The DDK badge demo proved that with Workday's new zero-copy data architecture, developers can connect enterprise data to external environments (even custom hardware) in under two hours—even while the community tried to figure out how to make it play video games (a game of Doom, anyone?). A huge thank you to the Workday, GPJ, and OS Studios teams whose collaboration, creativity, and expertise made these pivotal experiences at DevCon26 such a success. In its inaugural year the event attracted over 40 technology companies who came together and rode stationary "spin" bicycles outside the Vancouver Art Gallery. The event featured food trucks, aa beer garden, a DJ and spin instructors leading a high intensity workout for participants. Jeff also introduced the use of tracking on each of the bicycles…
Jeff created the Vancouver Tech Ride, a charity event for the BC technology industry, which raised funds to find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes.
