Alright, so here's the deal. For events, when I go to register someone on the backend or cancel their participation (depending on how I cancel them) they get a confirmation email, but it includes all the custom participant fields in the group, not just the specific ones we had in the profile on the registration page. Is this the regular behavior? If so, what is the best practice around this if we only want some of the fields to go to their email and not all of the fields?
In the meantime I have been registering people via the frontend, but problem is, when we want to keep the public registration page closed, it becomes a challenge, we have to reopen registration, do the manual ones, then close.
Canceling, the email people get is different depending on which buttons i select when canceling.
