Kyun Thibaut a partagé ceci🇧🇪 🇺🇸 Thanks to all actors and participants! It was nice to hear from entrepreneurs personal journey 👉 the tips and tricks to succeed in US market entry.Kyun Thibaut a partagé ceciWhat a great day at our MedTech event! 🚀 Proud to have co-organized this session on “How to enter the US market” a topic that clearly resonates across the ecosystem. We had an impressive lineup of speakers (Thibault Vandenhove, Kyun Thibaut, Gaetan Michel, Michel Lussier, Julien Penders, Ludivine Coulon, Philippe Lachapelle, Dominique Demonte, Fabrizio Giannotta) sharing very concrete, hands-on insights, from strategy and regulatory pathways in the US, to go-to-market and scaling. Exactly the kind of practical knowledge that makes a real difference We wrapped up the content sessions with a dynamic round table animated by Fabrizio Giannotta and Q&A, which sparked some great discussions and real exchange of experiences 🙌 The room was full of energy, great questions, and meaningful conversations throughout the afternoon. And to top it all off, we closed the day with a fantastic networking drink 🍸 and delicious bites the perfect way to keep the conversations going in a more relaxed setting. 📸 Here are a few snapshots capturing the vibe of the day! From Prototype to Regulated Production in Medical Vision Transitioning medical vision systems from prototype to regulated production requires more than proof of concept. It demands system-level precision, deterministic performance, consistent imaging quality, and design-for-manufacturability that meets stringent clinical and regulatory standards. Medical imaging applications — from endoscopy to digital pathology — benefit from world-class imaging building blocks such as Sony’s high-precision CMOS sensors and micro-displays, Altera FPGAs for real-time processing, DEEPX AI accelerators for embedded inference, SiTime for stable acquisition timing, and partner-optimized camera modules from iENSO — all of which underpin robust medical vision pipelines. At Macnica, we bring these technologies together with engineering expertise to help developers build medical vision systems that are not only innovative, but ready for clinical use, validation, and long-term production. MDG | The MedTech Advantage No One Is Talking About: Speed-to-Competence Everyone is watching robotics, AI integration, and M&A activity — but the real competitive advantage in 2026 won’t be hardware or headline acquisitions. It’ll be speed-to-competence. Healthcare systems are stretched. OR teams are thin. Case volumes are rising while staffing pipelines shrink. In this environment: • A device that takes 6 months to master is a liability. • A system that requires 10 training days will lose to one that requires 3. • A rep who can support 5 cases on day one beats a rep who needs 40 to get comfortable. Hospitals aren’t just buying technology anymore — they’re buying how fast your technology becomes invisible. Meaning: The fastest learning curve wins. The simplest workflow wins. The least friction wins. Companies that design around rapid competence will dominate the next wave of adoption. That’s the edge the market isn’t pricing in yet. #MedTech #SurgicalInnovation #HospitalOperations #ORWorkflow #MedicalDeviceSales #GatekeepersPerspective

👍We can only welcome the initiative: it clearly moves in the right direction. But what remains, at its core, quite disheartening is that we have to regulate… in order to simplify. As if simplicity couldn’t be a design principle from the very first draft. 🤨 Sometimes it feels like a system that piles complexity on top of complexity, then realizes it has become unmanageable (like a monster) and has to “fix” what could have been thought through properly from the start. 👆This is especially striking with the MDR. ➡️ Framed as a strengthening of patient safety and protection, it has also produced system-wide effects that many consider disproportionate: 1) slower market access, 2) compliance burdens that have become crushing, 3) weakened incremental innovation, 4) the withdrawal of certain devices, 5) increased pressure on smaller players… ↪️ Leading, ultimately, to a loss of competitiveness. ❌All of this in the name of an overall clinical benefit that, at this stage, remains difficult to demonstrate clearly. ❎ Protecting patients is non-negotiable. 😬 But regulation is only truly protective if it improves safety without undermining access, without stifling innovation, and above all without turning compliance into an end in itself….that is, to me, the central issue. 🤒When a framework becomes so heavy that it later requires additional texts just to make it workable again, it may be a sign that we’ve confused rigor with complexity [our chronic disease sometimes] …..and lost sight of what matters most.
