Thierry Sarda a aimé ceciThierry Sarda a aimé ceciIl y a 7 ans, je rejoignais le ministère avec la conviction que le numérique est un formidable levier pour transformer notre système de santé. Que de chemin parcouru ensemble ! Avec les équipes de la DNS et du ministère, les agences et caisses, les professionnels de santé, les industriels, les établissements, les associations de patients, les académiques et chercheurs, et tout un écosystème engagé, nous avons accéléré la construction des fondations du numérique en santé. Beaucoup reste à faire, évidemment. Mais je suis profondément fier de ce que nous avons construit ensemble, et surtout de la dynamique collective qui s’est créée ! Aujourd’hui, une nouvelle étape commence pour moi puisque je deviens Directeur adjoint de la Direction générale de la recherche, de l’innovation et du numérique en santé (DGRINES). Je remercie Madame la ministre Stephanie RIST et Lise ALTER pour leur confiance. Cette nouvelle aventure sera, elle aussi, profondément collective. Je suis très heureux de former avec Lise le binôme de direction de la DGRINES et de retrouver ainsi un mode de fonctionnement que j'ai apprécié ces dernières années (clin d'œil à Hela Ghariani, Raphaël Beaufret, Laura Létourneau, Dominique Pon). Avec Lise nous connaissons bien et je suis convaincu que nos complémentarités seront une force pour porter les transformations qui nous attendent. Nous avons surtout la chance de pouvoir travailler avec des équipes DGRINES talentueuses et profondément investies ! Et aussi avec le collectif des directions du ministère orchestré avec énergie et engagement par Virginie MAGNANT et Sophie Baron. Ces regards croisés et cette capacité à dépasser nos périmètres sont indispensables pour avancer. Cette nouvelle responsabilité me tient particulièrement à cœur parce qu’elle permet de poursuivre le même objectif, en réunissant désormais davantage de leviers d'action : la recherche, l’innovation organisationnelle, thérapeutique et technologique, les données et le numérique en santé. Car participer activement à transformer notre système de santé ne peut reposer sur un seul levier. Il nous faut permettre aux innovations de bénéficier plus rapidement aux patients, inventer de nouvelles organisations, mieux mobiliser les données et le numérique, tout en renforçant la résilience de notre système et notre capacité collective à décider et à agir. C’est précisément l’ambition de la DGRINES : réunir ces forces pour accélérer les évolutions dont notre système de santé a besoin. Sept ans plus tard, l’envie est intacte. Continuer à construire, à décloisonner et à transformer. Et surtout, continuer à le faire ensemble. À très vite ! Thierry Sarda a aimé ceciThierry Sarda a aimé ceciA major European milestone for Quoretech: the first scale-up company from the Americas in the Future4care ecosystem. 🇪🇺🇧🇷 Quoretech’s QuoreOne is now certified under the EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR) as a Class IIa medical device, following conformity assessment by BSI (Notified Body 2797) under Regulation (EU) 2017/745, covering both the QuoreOne device and its analysis software. This marks an important new stage for Quoretech, the fastest-growing cardiovascular diagnostic technology company from Latin America, now expanding into Europe. QuoreOne is a reusable, wireless, multi-channel ECG monitoring platform designed for continuous recording from 24 hours to 7 days, combining remote digital workflows with AI-assisted analysis supervised by cardiologists, delivered through a scalable service model. And the platform has already demonstrated significant adoption. In its first 10 commercial quarters, Quoretech delivered more than 260,000 supervised examinations and is currently delivering 15,000 supervised examinations monthly. Based on comparable public disclosures, this represents a faster early volume-growth trajectory than several of the companies that pioneered modern ambulatory cardiac monitoring, including iRhythm/Zio, CardioNet/MCOT and AliveCor/Kardia. EU MDR certification now gives Quoretech the regulatory foundation to bring this proven scaling model to European healthcare systems and accelerate partnerships with hospitals, cardiology centres, diagnostic groups and other healthcare organisations. For us at Future4care, this is exactly the kind of internationalisation journey our Go-to-Market ecosystem exists to support: helping proven healthcare companies move from market preparation to real-world European deployment. This investment will give us greater capacity to pursue our vision: to make OpMA® the most comprehensive platform for hospital-led care beyond the hospital, powering telehealth and outpatient monitoring units across different healthcare systems. Hope Care’s technology is used by healthcare institutions across Europe, with programmes in Portugal, France and Switzerland, the first of our German projects starting this october, and Romania following in Q4 2026. The next phase will allow us to strengthen our teams, further develop our technology and interoperability capabilities, accelerate AI-enabled functionality, and support larger and increasingly complex outpatient monitoring programmes. Thierry Sarda a aimé ceciThierry Sarda a aimé ceciI survived a 3h20 marathon defense… and I’m really proud to announce that I am officially a DOCTOR! 🎉🎓 But somehow, figuring out how to fit 3.5 years of work into one post feels even harder. So I’ll spare you the science today. Here's what this PhD taught me: 10 things I wish I'd known 1. 💔 If you don't fail (or break something), you are not trying hard enough. Success in research is basically just a huge pile of well-documented failures. 2. 📝 Year 1 (and maybe 2!) is just about accumulating learning, and trying not to destroy the expensive lab equipment. You have to absorb the rules before you can start breaking them. 3. 👩🏽🔧People think innovation is a giant whiteboard full of complex physics equations. But half the time, it's just a simple, creative hack (and a huge amount of duct tape) that ends up saving the day. 4. 👩🏽⚕️👩🏼💻👩🏾🔬Get out of your own bubble. Talk to people with different backgrounds and projects. The best ideas usually happen when you try to explain your problem to someone else. 5. 👀 Question your own data. Being highly critical of your own work before "Reviewer 2" gets the chance to do it is the only real way to improve. 6. 🏃🏽♀️A PhD is not necessarily for the smartest person in the room. It’s a marathon of pure stubbornness. You just keep grinding and searching until it works. 7. 👩🏽🏫 Elite schools and universities are great, but they're not a prerequisite for becoming a good researcher. The right people, a good project and your own drive are what unlock your potential, no matter where you come from. 8.🫀Find a topic you actually care about. You’re going to spend a ridiculous amount of time overthinking it, so make it matter. 9. 👩🏽🐰👩🏻 Just enjoy the weird ride. Be yourself, protect your sanity, and don’t let a bad day in the lab define your worth. 10. 💅🏼And last but not least, a note specifically for the women: it is indeed harder. Your seat at the table isn't a given, and you’ll often have to work twice as hard just to get the exact same respect. But keep pushing, science needs you, especially medicine and research focused on women's health, which have been overlooked for way too long. Liège-based SamanTree Medical SA, a surgical imaging innovator, has secured €20 million in financing from the European Investment Bank (EIB) to support the development of a confocal microscopy scanner 🇧🇪 🔬 The operation is backed by InvestEU, the EU’s flagship programme to mobilise over €372 billion in additional investment from 2021 to 2027. “The support of the European Investment Bank represents an important milestone for SamanTree,” says Olivier Delporte, CEO of SamanTree Medical. “This financing allows us to accelerate development of the Histolog Scanner and expand our commercial presence across Europe and the United States. The rigorous due diligence process undertaken by the EIB reflects the importance of our innovative technology, our development plan and our long-term vision for advancing real-time, high-resolution imaging for excised tissue.” https://lnkd.in/eW-3gGxY
