When I open Balatro on my iPhone with a spotty internet connection, the game will sometimes get stuck on a “loading cloud save” screen. The screen will persist for minutes, preventing me from playing the game.
Is there a way to disable or skip cloud save syncing in Balatro for iOS?
Sure:
Settings -> iCloud -> Saved to iCloud -> Balatro -> Off
As the other guy said but with a bit more detail:
Settings -> Apple ID -> iCloud -> Saved to iCloud -> Balatro -> Off
Just as a reminder this will save your game locally and on other devices the progress will not sync and you can't play it. (But you probably already know that).
Another thing for debugging, I found that for some people turning off cellular and WiFi / turning on Airplane Mode made it work after the change in the iCloud save.
