In the manga 宝石の国, the first sentence on the first page looks like っとそうだ。
Colloquial speech/口語 always throws me off. Is this short for …ということは? As in:
(あちらの方になんか見える)ということは…そうです、ね。
(Seeing something off in the distance) that means…oh, that’s right.
