Dallas was a city in the U.S. state of Texas and the largest city in and seat of Dallas County, with portions extending into Collin, Denton, Kaufman, and Rockwall counties. Located in North Texas, the city of Dallas is the main core of the largest metropolitan area in the Southern United States of America.
History
American Frontier[]
During the days of the American Frontier, Dallas was the location of a prison where many outlaws and renegade Native Americans were kept prisoner. In 1846, the prison housed renegade Native American Howling Wolf until he broke out and went on a murder spree across the state. Howling Wolf was gunned down by the Texas Kid.[1]
20th Century[]
Assassination of John F. Kennedy[]
On November 22nd, 1963; President Kennedy was assassinated by Lee Harvey Oswald. He was killed while driving through Dealey Plaza.[2]
Modern Age[]
