Synopsis
In the year 1988, the Ravagers, acting under the direction of the Celestial being Ego, embark on a mission to Earth. Their objective: to retrieve Ego's son, Peter Quill. However, a fateful error occurs when they mistakenly abduct a young T'Challa from the thriving nation of Wakanda. Two decades later, T'Challa has transformed into the renowned intergalactic mercenary known as "Star-Lord," led to believe by Ravager chief Yondu Udonta that Wakanda met a tragic demise. Amidst this misperception, Nebula, a presence from T'Challa's newfound life in the stars, approaches the Ravagers with an audacious proposition. She suggests pilfering the Embers of Genesis, a cosmic artifact renowned for its capacity to obliterate galactic hunger, from the clutches of Taneleer Tivan, a notorious galactic kingpin. Their scheme unfolds at Tivan's stronghold on the celestial hub of Knowhere, utilizing the Power Stone as a distraction to mask their true intentions. While T'Challa endeavors to locate the Embers, his quest leads him to stumble upon a Wakandan spacecraft, revealing remnants of his past efforts to find him. Nebula appears to double-cross the Ravagers, resulting in their capture. However, this apparent betrayal conceals another layer of strategy aimed at seizing the Embers. In a surprising turn, Tivan's enslaved aide Carina intervenes, aiding T'Challa and the Ravagers in their battle against Tivan's forces. Amidst the chaos and revelations, T'Challa extends forgiveness to Udonta for deceiving him about Wakanda's fate. Together, they return to T'Challa's long-lost homeland, facilitating a heartwarming reunion with his family and the Wakandan people.
Elsewhere in the universe, Ego approaches Quill, a humble Dairy Queen janitor, setting the stage for a potentially pivotal encounter that could unravel mysteries and alter destinies across the cosmos.Notes
