In a version earlier than my current 14.2, I could redirect errors to the Console. I can't figure out to do that in 14.2.

I've tried to change the global option MessageOption and "ErrorAction", but it had no effect.

Previously, there was a tab in the preferences (see examples here: how-restore-printing-of-messages/65162#65162)

But I can't find that tab in 14.2 running under MacOs 15.2.

If you search for "message" in the options inspector you should find "KernelMessageAction" which you should be able to set to "PrintToConsole"

After I do that, messages go to the console window and not the notebook.
