messed around with the mounting options of my Ubuntu OS, I have since backed up the LUKS partition to a IMG file.

When I luksOpen it, I am able to mount the LVM2 member on a live Ubuntu however there is no files in it and it is Empty, when it should have my files.

I have tried all the online help such as Vgchange, e2fsck and so on, when I try to mount the decrypted LUKS as /dev/ubuntu-vg/ubuntu-lv its empty still, likewise there is no detected /root or /dm-crypt.

Does anyone know how I can fix this and make it mount correctly to access my files.

  • Do you not have an image made before you changed the file system? Commented Sep 9 at 14:56
