The vision and leadership of youth. The courage of refugee women. The power of solidarity. The impact of inclusivity. These were just a few of the ideas people shared when we asked them what gives them hope for humanity during last week’s UN General Debate. Share with us in the comments below: What inspires you in these challenging times?

  • “Transforming education at scale requires more than individual programs. It requires shared infrastructure that connects learners, institutions, credentials, and opportunities,” said Ashaki Goodwin, Director of Government Affairs at PVBLIC Foundation.    Last week at the SDG Media Zone during the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly, PVBLIC hosted the event “Transforming Global Education: Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Youth.” Building on the Transforming Global Education Summit held at the United Nations this past May, the convening brought the work of the Transforming Global Education Program (TGEP) to #UNGA, connecting leaders across government, education, technology, youth and the private sector. The 81st United Nations General Assembly is a wrap, and I'm grateful. For one week, I got to participate and use my voice at the UN for the ideas I believe in most: data that governments can actually use, entrepreneurs building sustainable solutions where they live, and health innovation that reaches people at scale. I also got to moderate conversations with some amazing people who are doing the work every day. A few moments that stayed with me: 📊 Data for resilience. At the SDG Media Zone, I shared what the SDG Data Alliance and PVBLIC Foundation have been building. The SIDS Global Data Hub is now a live platform with 11 Country Data Hubs, and it is on track to cover all 39 Small Island Developing States by the end of the year. My takeaway: governments don't need more reports. They need tools that turn information into coordinated action. 💰 Capital that follows country priorities. At the Family Offices for Sustainable Development Summit, I moderated a conversation with Mireia Villar Forner of the UN Development Coordination Office and Lisa Ann Kurbiel of the United Nations Joint SDG Fund. We talked about how the Resident Coordinator system helps family offices and investors put capital where it can be catalytic. The architecture for deploying capital is being built right now, at the country level. 🏥 From pilots to health systems. I opened the Global Health Futures Forum and moderated "Building the New Infrastructure for Global Health" with Stefan Kulik, James Filbey and Sanskriti Thakur. We have plenty of health innovation. What we still need is connective infrastructure that links prevention, health workers, facilities, data and capital. To get there, those pieces have to be designed together from the start, with government ownership and national scale as the goal. 🌱 Entrepreneurs as solution-builders. Through our REIN Hubs platform with CleantechHUB, more than 1,200 entrepreneurs across Latin America and mobilized over US$23M since 2019. The region has everything it needs to be seen as a source of solutions, not just raw materials. Thank you to every panelist who brought honesty and sharp ideas to the stage, to our partners and sponsors, and to the PVBLIC Foundation dream team, who made a remarkable week look effortless. It's a privilege to do this work alongside you! Now comes the part that matters most: turning these conversations into results. #UNGA81 #SDGs #SustainableDevelopment #GlobalHealth #DataForGood #PVBLIC #Action Sergio Fernandez de Cordova y de Veyga Kerry Bannigan Megan McAstocker Greg Scott Ashaki Goodwin Mariaceleste Vargas Valentina Marschik Aris Woodyear - Miggiros Chris Headings Laurence Kalinsky Bárbara González Ovalles Mariana Mellado

Last week, we had the honor of being present at the United Nations Headquarters in New York during the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly. Invited by PVBLIC Foundation, our Strategic Partnerships Director Romain de La Rochefordière and Science Director Sébastien Carassou, PhD took part in the Family Offices for Sustainable Development Summit, contributing to conversations on how we can collectively build for the long term. They brought a question that lies at the very heart of Sanctuary: what do we, as humanity, choose to preserve and pass on to those who will come after us? That question is the starting point of our mission. We are creating a lasting testimony to our humanity, preserving a fragment of what we are, what we know and what we make for generations far beyond our own. But our mission is not only about preserving this legacy for a distant future. It is also about what this process can inspire today: curiosity, dialogue, education and a greater awareness of what connects us across cultures, borders and generations. Because thinking about sustainable development also means thinking beyond our own lifetime and considering the legacy we choose to leave behind. The Summit also marked an important first step in a broader collaboration between Sanctuary and PVBLIC Foundation, formalized through the signing of a partnership agreement during the event. We look forward to building on this relationship and exploring together how this shared vision can translate into meaningful action. A warm thank you to PVBLIC Foundation for the invitation and for creating a space for these essential conversations between institutions, innovators, investors and changemakers. And a special thank you to Sergio Fernandez de Cordova y de Veyga, Executive Chairman of PVBLIC Foundation, for his support and for making this collaboration possible. #UNGA #UNGA81 #PVBLICatUNGA

  • Over the past decade, Cumbre de Impacto Iberoamericano (CII) has become the leading Spanish-language convening during the United Nations General Assembly High-Level Week, creating a space for Ibero-America to engage in dialogue, collaborate, and put forward its vision on the great challenges of sustainable development.   During this milestone, the Cumbre de Impacto Iberoamericano gathered leaders across governments, the private sector, and international organizations. This year’s CII 2026 recognized Spain as the focus country, highlighting its leadership and contribution to strengthening cooperation and sustainable growth across Ibero-America. To celebrate impact, culture, and pride, this year’s Ibero-American Impact Award was presented to Mr. Enrique Riquelme Vives, President of COX Energy. #PVBLICatUNGA #UNGA

Held during the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Family Offices for Sustainable Development (FOSD) Summit returned to the UN Headquarters for its fourth edition. Hosted by PVBLIC Foundation, this convening brought together Heads of State, Ambassadors, UN leadership, and legacy-driven family offices to explore new ways to collaborate globally. This marquee event positions FOSD as the premier platform where capital meets policy and where private leadership helps accelerate systemic transformation aligned with UN priorities. • A week of conversations, connections and stories. Across the SDG Media Zone, voices from media, government, civil society, science, culture, technology, health and business came together to explore some of the defining challenges of our time, from peace and human rights to climate action, information integrity, AI, health and well-being. As the week came to a close, the focus turned to building healthier and more inclusive futures. Conversations explored the health systems we have yet to build, the power of football to advance equality and social change, the importance of preserving the stories of atomic bomb survivors, and how storytelling can continue to build trust and inspire action in the age of AI. Throughout the week, speakers, journalists, advocates, creators and communities showed what becomes possible when different perspectives share the same space. A huge thank you to every speaker, moderator, partner, participant and member of the SDG Media Zone team who brought the week to life, from the stage and production floor to communications, programming, logistics and everything in between. #SDGLive #UNGA #10YearsofImpact
