Our latest article looks at what to do when a customer understands the reason for a price increase but still pushes back, and how to keep the conversation moving without simply reducing the number. Our latest article explores how buyers can assess a supplier price increase, protect the parts of the relationship that matter, and trade across issues to reach an agreement that makes commercial sense to all parties involved. • Ever been stuck in a negotiation deadlock? When both sides become fixed in their positions, pushing harder can make the problem worse. The real skill then is knowing how to pause, reframe the issue, understand what is driving resistance, and bring the conversation back to common ground. Check out the link in the comments below to read the full article.

  • Do you often face negotiations with a clear power imbalance? The most successful negotiators won't simply accept the perceived power balance; they will prepare to understand what is shaping that dynamic and where their own value can still impact the outcome. Good negotiation starts by always testing your assumptions. Want to build this discipline into your team's negotiations? Explore Scotwork’s negotiation courses in the comments and find the right programme for your organisation.

  • So proud of our colleague Scott Murdoch and the team for this incredible achievement: a Guinness World Records place secured, £60k raised for Nacoa UK, and a challenge that helped shine a light on an important cause. Huge congratulations from all of us at Scotwork 💙

I secured my place in the 2028 edition of the Guinness World Records which is getting released in summer next year. 😎 Thank you to Scotwork for flying us out, as well as Iceland Foods / Iceland Foods Charitable Foundation for making a massive contribution towards our fundraising target. Sinalei Reef Resort & Spa also took great care of us whilst we were in Samoa. We raised £60k for Nacoa UK and put ourselves in the record book forever. We also got a great reception from the people of Samoa & American Samoa. I will forever remember the performance from the children at the Campus of Hope, in the Samoa victim support group. Thank you to Andrew Nethercott, the British High Commissioner of Samoa, for setting it up for us.
