Alison Levin shared thisLegendary February lived up to its name in every way. The Super Bowl. Milan Cortina. NBA All-Star Weekend. Back to back to back. We reached over 215M people in moments of genuine suspense and emotional investment and that number means everything in a world fighting for attention. Thank you to the incredible teams at NBCUniversal and to every partner who trusted us to bring their brands into these moments. It was a privilege. Of all the once-in-a-lifetime moments this month gave us, Mike Tirico’s closing words after the men’s hockey gold medal win are the ones I keep coming back to. https://lnkd.in/dtKpUT88 “For all the young people out there… those dreams are formed now. Go chase them and go get them. Our country loves sports, and it brings us together unlike anything else.” As a mom of two young girls, that hit differently. Alison Levin shared thisWhat an honor to officially step into the role of IAB Chair. Huge thank you to Shenan Reed – it’s been a gift to partner with you this year. You blazed an incredible trail as the first brand marketer to lead the IAB, and I’m grateful to carry that forward. And to David Cohen and the entire IAB team, and Alan Moss as incoming Vice Chair – thank you for your partnership. Looking forward to the work ahead. We’re at such a critical moment for our industry. As we stand at the start of the AI supercycle, the decisions we make now about shared standards, talent investment, and infrastructure will shape advertising for decades to come. The work we’ve done together over 30 years has prepared us for this. Now let’s seize it. But first – off to Legendary February with the NBCUniversal team. Super Bowl, Milan Cortina Olympics, NBA All-Star Weekend, here we come. https://lnkd.in/e7EydD6ZAlison Levin takes the wheel at IAB as advertising enters its AI supercycleAlison Levin takes the wheel at IAB as advertising enters its AI supercycle

Alison Levin shared thisReally excited to officially share the work our team has been driving as we head into NBC's 100th anniversary and our biggest year yet. As Mark Marshall mentioned at our press event this week, we're investing not only in content that drives engaged reach at scale, but in the tech and tools that supercharge these moments for our partners — turning engagement into real outcomes. This week we unveiled breakthrough innovations: Arrival Ads that allow brands to own the first impression on Peacock. AI-powered Contextual Targeting in LIVE that ensures ads align with the most relevant moments in real time — allowing a brand message to surface at the exact moment of a fumble or buzzer-beater. Performance Insights Hub that delivers real-time, full-funnel, cross-platform visibility so brands can understand performance and optimize while campaigns are live. And many more innovations designed to prove that premium video drives real results. As I mark two years at NBCUniversal, I'm grateful to work alongside a team that never stops pushing boundaries. Here's to what's ahead. https://lnkd.in/gif9fxUuNBCUniversal Unveils ‘Arrival Ads’ for Peacock and Other Ad-Tech Innovations to Capitalize on Investments in Live Sports and EventsNBCUniversal Unveils ‘Arrival Ads’ for Peacock and Other Ad-Tech Innovations to Capitalize on Investments in Live Sports and Events

Alison Levin shared thisThis one means a lot. I’m honored to be included in this year’s American Advertising Federation Hall of Achievement alongside such thoughtful and talented leaders. But what really stuck with me were the recommendation letters — words from colleagues, mentors, and friends I’ve had the privilege to work with and learn from every day. I feel incredibly lucky to work on things I believe in, with people I respect and admire. Thank you to everyone who’s been part of the journey. #AAF #HallofAchievement https://lnkd.in/eQJS_2qRMeet the 2025 AAF Advertising Hall of Achievement InducteesMeet the 2025 AAF Advertising Hall of Achievement Inductees

Alison Levin shared thisMy first four months at NBCUniversal have been an inspiring whirlwind learning from and building with this incredible team. It was great to talk with Parker Herren at Ad Age ahead of this year’s Upfronts. A big thank you to all our partners as we create the TV of Today with cross-portfolio market-leading reach and audience-driven strategies that span linear and streaming, in both English and Spanish, across sports, entertainment, news and more. Alison Levin shared thisWhat an incredible announcement to start my time at NBCUniversal. The rise of TV Streaming has accelerated video innovation, benefiting both consumers and advertisers with personalized content and advertising. Streaming has transformed TV buying, allowing for precision and real time accountability, ultimately driving results for brands. Yet, never before has there been an opportunity to find the right consumer, at the right moment, in all ways a viewer watches TV…until now. With the launch of One Platform Total Audience, NBCUniversal introduces new AI-driven planning technology, offering brands access to the precision of digital with NBCUniversal’s industry-leading reach and culture-defining content. Now, that’s the power of TV, today. https://lnkd.in/gdq5-Ts3NBCU's AI Solution for Cross-Platform Ad TargetingNBCU's AI Solution for Cross-Platform Ad Targeting

Alison Levin shared thisExcited to share some personal news. After 9 incredible years at Roku Inc., I'm joining NBCUniversal next month as President of Advertising and Partnerships. I joined Roku because I believed in the power of TV Streaming. We were just a few employees in the advertising business, working in a small office above a Sleepy’s on 34th Street. We took turns taking out the garbage at night. We traveled around the country plugging in Roku devices to show our partners the magic of Roku. We believed that there could be a better TV experience for advertisers, and we launched product after product to turn our dream into a reality. I want to thank the entire team at Roku for allowing me the privilege of helping steer this rocket ship and breaking new ground in TV storytelling. It's been one of the greatest experiences of my entire career and I'm forever grateful for what we've all accomplished together. I’m thrilled to join Mark Marshall and the incredible team at NBCU. As a forever fan of the best-in-class content, I've long admired the people, brands, and innovation that have built such a tremendous organization. I look forward to learning from and working with this incredible team and our advertising partners. https://lnkd.in/gg9ggrsQAlison Levin Exits Roku to Join NBCU in Ad-Sales Shake-UpAlison Levin Exits Roku to Join NBCU in Ad-Sales Shake-Up

Alison Levin liked thisThere’s something nice about the space between one chapter and the next. The past few weeks have been a time of transition in more ways than one. I recently wrapped up five-and-a-half years at Amazon and also became an empty nester as my twins headed off to their respective colleges. It’s been a pretty special moment to pause, reset, and take it all in. At Amazon, I had the opportunity to experience the industry from a new perspective, learn something different every day, and work with an incredible team at Fire TV. Now, I’m excited to share what’s next: I’m joining NBCUniversal. I’m thrilled for what’s ahead, the work we’ll get to do, and the people I’ll get to do it with! Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey with me. https://lnkd.in/gyMZe7Z4NBCUniversal Hires Amazon Exec Jamia Bigalow as EVP of Marketing for Platform Distribution and PartnershipsNBCUniversal Hires Amazon Exec Jamia Bigalow as EVP of Marketing for Platform Distribution and Partnerships

Alison Levin liked thisAlison Levin liked thisI’m incredibly excited to share my next adventure: I’ve joined Fetch to lead communications across the business. I shared last week how much I love two sided marketplaces and their unique ability to understand what makes consumers light up, then figure out how technology, data and advertising can build a great business around that engagement. That’s a big part of what drew me to Fetch. There aren’t many businesses that can create a true win win at such a large scale. Fetch helps millions of people Live Life Rewarded every day, turning the things they buy and the brands they rely on into real value. At the same time, it gives brands a fundamentally different way to engage those consumers, moving beyond legacy advertising models to drive direct, measurable outcomes. I love that combination. And I love the hutzpah it takes to build a company that wants to challenge the way an industry has operated for decades while staying deeply rooted in delivering real value to the consumer. I first met our founder and CEO Wes Schroll about four years ago, right as we were coming out of COVID. I remember walking away from that conversation thinking there was something really exciting being built here. Pretty amazing to fast forward four years and now get the chance to be part of it. I’m only a few days in and have a ton to learn, but I’m already blown away by the ambition of the team and the size of the opportunity ahead. Super excited to help shape and tell the story of where Fetch and this market go next. I’ll be in NYC next week for Advertising Week. If you’re going to be around, I’d love to catch up!

Alison Levin liked thisAlison Levin liked thisI love the dynamics of a two-sided marketplace: understanding what makes consumers light up, then figuring out how technology, data and advertising can build a business around that engagement. For the last 3½ years, I’ve had a front-row seat to an extraordinary example of that at Telly. This week, I completed my transition out of my full-time role to pursue a new opportunity. The timing feels right for both Telly and me. Being among the first people through the door at a startup means getting to experience a lot of firsts. Launching out of stealth. Introducing Telly to consumers. Our first advertisers, our first NewFronts and Cannes, and the first TVs arriving in people’s homes. Our first everything really. There is something special about watching an idea become a company and then a marketplace. There are no firm swim lanes and no individual heroes. You’re surrounded by Navy SEALs and Swiss Army knife-wielding wizards who figure out how to tackle whatever challenge lands in front of them. Telly was born out of COVID and has been 100% remote from the beginning. Yet I’ve never felt closer to a group of colleagues than I do to the people I’ve worked alongside for these last 1,200+ days. Every win took a small village working behind the scenes. I owe a huge debt of gratitude to our OG village people Bob Ivins, Eric Loes, Julia Shullman, Sascha Prüter, Jodie Pierce, John Hwang and Tarah Sinovic for your amazing support and to Mike Shehan for your valued mentorship. When we faced a challenge, the village showed up, adapted and found a way forward. That creates a bond that’s hard to describe unless you’ve lived it. I’ll always be grateful to Matthew Anderson and Scott Rosenberg for introducing me to Ilya Pozin, and to Ilya and Shervin Pishevar for having the audacity to imagine something completely different in the TV market: a world where consumers could be rewarded for their engagement and get the smartest, most powerful television ever built for free. What followed has been remarkable. We created a new class of product and a new business model. We went from zero advertisers to tens of thousands using our platform every month. From zero minutes of viewing to Telly households spending roughly twice as much time with Telly as they do with their traditional TV. From a company nobody had heard of to being named one of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies in the World. We did it with one of the most passionate, relentless and ridiculously talented teams I’ve ever been part of. I’m enormously proud of what we’ve built, and I know Telly has the leadership, momentum and people to take it much further. Next week, I start a new adventure that I’m excited to share more about soon. I’m grateful to stay connected to this team as an advisor going forward and to keep supporting what comes next. As we’ve always said at Telly: Just Fucking Go.

Alison Levin liked thisAlison Levin liked thisFour years at State Farm! I’ve been pretty quiet on here lately. Mostly because I’ve been heads down. Over the past four years, my responsibilities have expanded: more people, greater complexity, bigger problems and a broader view of the business. But lately, I’ve been thinking about one basic question: How do you keep getting better while you’re in the middle of doing the job? Some of the best athletes spend far more time training than competing. An NFL player gets 17 regular-season games, but behind them are hundreds of days spent practicing, studying film, recovering and repeating the fundamentals for moments that may last seconds. Corporate life doesn’t really work that way. Most days are game days. The meetings count. The decisions count. People are depending on you. The work keeps moving. So where do you find the room to train? I’m still figuring that out. For me, I’m focused on being more intentional about learning. Asking better questions. Seeking out people who see the business differently than I do. Spending time on the fundamentals. And creating enough space to respond, not just react. Four years in, I’m proud of how much has changed and what we’ve built. I’m even more aware of how much I still have to learn. Grateful for the people who continue to challenge me, trust me and build alongside me. #OurStateFarm

Alison Levin liked thisAlison Levin liked thisAs a Founding Partner of the LA28 Olympic & Paralympic Games and the Official Home and Auto Insurance Partner of Team USA, we are already bringing Allstate closer to the people and stories behind the Olympic and Paralympic movement. I recently attended the 2026 Agency and Allstate Financial Services Conference, an annual gathering of agents and financial specialists from across the country. There, we had the opportunity to hear from Kate Nack and Marcus N. McElhenney, OLY. Kate competed in rhythmic gymnastics at the Olympic Games Atlanta 1996, and Marcus earned a bronze medal as part of the U.S. men's eight rowing team at the Olympic Games Beijing 2008. What stayed with me from our conversation wasn't just what they achieved, but how they achieved it: perseverance, resilience and trust in the people around them. Those same qualities show up across Allstate every day as our team continues to innovate within our industry and protect customers so they can achieve their hopes and dreams. Thank you, Kate and Marcus, for the reminder that success is never a solo effort. And thank you to our agents and financial specialists for all you do to support customers and communities every day.

The contestants and twists will keep you on the edge of your seat. Do not miss. Then this coming Monday we bring back a show that is very near and dear to me, The Voice. Riley Green and Queen Latifah join Kelly and Adam making this season magical. We then have an incredible new drama called Line of Fire staring the great Peter Krause and Hope Davis right after the Voice. The show brings you front and center with messy family dynamics set against the backdrop of Washington D.C. We then bring back America's beloved One Chicago franchise on 10/7 and L&O/SVU on 10/8. On Peacock we just launched the second season of The Paper which is just comedy gold. And coming up on 10/15 we have Crystal Lake - the prequel to the 1980 movie Friday the 13th. Excited to share that Aperiam has invested in Bedrock Platform. Obvious statement of the century: programmatic advertising has a complexity problem. The infrastructure that was built to give media buyers control has, over time, done the opposite. Burying teams under layers of operational overhead, legacy tooling, and opaque supply chains. Bedrock is built on a simple but powerful thesis: what if you stripped away the bloat and rebuilt the stack around what actually matters... precision, transparency, and speed to execution. Their platform combines AI-driven campaign automation with curated, premium inventory across video, CTV, DOOH, and audio, and aims to be flexible and get smarter over time. Plus, the team (Shane, Austin, Ryan, James) has deep roots in the infrastructure layer of ad tech and understands the plumbing better than almost anyone. We believe the next generation of programmatic will be leaner, faster and AI-first. Bedrock is building that.

I couldn't have said it better than Tamara Alesi. Consolidation breeds a lack of innovation, slows down adaptability and discourages risk taking. All which are table stakes for challenger brands who cannot compete with the top 100 on budgets. Independent agencies will continue to rise.

Some key takeaways from Walmart Connect’s kickoff to the ANAs Masters of Marketing last week. Our massive out of home footprint (in-store screens, fuel stations and self check out) coupled with Vizio’s dominance in CTV reach and integrated marketing capabilities allow for a full funnel solution powered by accountable measurement and first party data. Three points jump out for me… 1. Retail media can now power holistic media strategies. 2.Uneven Adoption/application means early movers can seize a stronger share of voice more efficiently and 3. Maturing measurement solutions- including with CTV- are helping brands harness retail media’s full- funnel potential. #ana #walmartconnect #letssparksales

🖥️✅ Shields / Substack (3/12): “CTV is in a weird spot. On the one hand, consumers are flocking to streaming, and ad dollars are moving over from linear TV at a solid pace (if not as fast as many had hoped). On the other hand, you could ask the question as to whether traditional TV companies are getting in their own way. This was a question I found myself asking over the past few weeks during a series of sessions at the excellent Marketecture Live conference in New York. For starters, does TV have a story problem? During a panel on Tuesday, Tatari CEO Philip Inghelbrecht talked about how the TV market is basically controlled by 10-12 companies, and most deals are still done directly- despite everyone preaching “programmatic.” Yet during the same session, Bill Murray, Head of Growth and Performance at Warner Bros. Discovery, said “all of our inventory is available biddable and direct….very few brands only buy one way.” That seems - contradictory? Or is it just a matter of semantics? During a later session, Brendan Garrone, Vice President, Programmatic Sales & Partnerships at NBCUniversal, talked up just how many new advertisers had come on board for the recent Winter Olympics, an event historically dominated by the biggest of brands. Yet at the same time, Garrone talked about the current CTV ad market having a “glut of supply,” which was coming to resemble the display world, where there is a “divide in the market” between longer-tail inventory (i.e. FAST channels) and premium. For sure, there is a lot more ad inventory in CTV compared to a few years ago, thanks to Amazon making ad-supported Prime Video the default, along with hundreds of FASTs. Which all sort of screams for a programmatic, more automated, yield-managed strategy. Yet the CTV ad market is still mostly directly-sold - unless it isn’t?” ⬇️ #avod #ctv #programmatic #waterfall #adCP #vmvpd #ott https://lnkd.in/etRwEhHN
