Andrew Engles liked thisAndrew Engles liked thisI'm still reflecting on an incredible experience at this year’s Peak Performer Celebration in Naples, FL. Being recognized as a 2025 C.H. Robinson Peak Performer is truly an honor, especially knowing how many talented individuals across the organization consistently deliver at such a high level. What made it even more meaningful was the time spent connecting with peers and leaders, hearing different perspectives, and sharing ideas in a more relaxed environment. Those moments are energizing and a great reminder of how strong our team and culture really are. After 25 years with C.H. Robinson, I feel fortunate to work alongside teams and customers who continue to push me to grow and raise the bar. I'm grateful for the opportunity and looking forward to bringing that energy back to the team.

Andrew Engles liked thisAndrew Engles liked thisAlum Mahershala Ali's recent visit to campus included joining High Potential students for a personal conversation about the first-generation experience. The HP program, established 45 years ago, helps prepare low-income students, many of them first-gen—to succeed at Saint Mary’s. First-gen himself, Ali is a passionate advocate for students in the program, offering up his own experience and advice on how to take full advantage of an education at SMC and reach your highest potential. “Just keep listening,” said Ali. “Keep trusting your instincts. Don’t be afraid to lose. You fall on your face and get up. Go again. Everybody’s afraid. Everybody’s scared. Some people just keep marching on and figure it out at a certain point. And some of us stop because the thought of moving forward is just too terrifying for us, so we stop, and then that’s where our progress will stop. But our real potential, our real growth...is out there being forced to step up." bit.ly/3J1fqxs #gogaels #gaelalumni #OnceaGaelAlwaysaGael #smcclassof96 #gaelsrise #classact

Teleos Ag Solutions™
Our California TELONE™ Specialist, Brian Hegland, is in Modesto for the Blue Diamond Growers Annual Meeting. "Blue Diamond Growers is a unique organization that is both a century-old agricultural cooperative and a global consumer packaged goods (CPG) company. The co-op’s vision is to deliver the benefits of almonds to the world by expanding the markets and innovative uses of our growers’ quality almonds around the globe." Almond growers know that nematodes and Prunus replant disease can stunt an orchard from the start—that's why they trust TELONE™ by Teleos to prep the soil ahead of planting/transplanting rootstock. TELONE™ targets nematodes deep in the root zone, allowing growers to manage nematode populations before young trees are planted. In addition to controlling nematodes, TELONE™ helps mitigate the effects of Prunus replant disease by reducing the pest and disease pressure in the soil, so young almond trees establish stronger roots, promoting vigorous growth and long-term orchard health. Stop by booth #14 with all of your nematode questions. Remember, there's no coming back from a poor start—especially with orchards! Beautiful bloom. Warm weather always makes the early season exciting, but it also tightens the cold chain window once harvest begins. As cherry and pear volumes ramp up across California, real time visibility during transit becomes critical. DeltaTrak’s FlashLink NOW Model 23006 helps monitor temperature and location from field to receiver, helping protect quality and maintain compliance with major retailers. Looking forward to another strong California season.

Good Fruit Grower
The Washington State Fruit Commission has appointed Eric Patrick as its new president to oversee marketing efforts for cherries and canned pears grown in the Northwest, as well as its industry education programs, effective March 2. He succeeds longtime President B.J. Thurlby, who retired Dec. 31 after 30 years with the commission. Patrick brings a wealth of experience in the fresh produce industry, which made him an excellent choice to lead the organization forward, commission board chairman Doug Field told Good Fruit Grower. “Eric has a deep understanding of our industry. He has helped to market cherries, he’s helped to develop new programs, he understands sales and marketing and has relationships with many of the key players in our industry and with Northwest Cherries,” said Field. “We’re very excited to bring him on board.” Patrick has spent the past 20 years as marketing director for the Grant J. Hunt Co., a West Coast-based distributor and wholesaler of conventional and organic fresh produce with distribution throughout North America, where he also has worked closely with Northwest Cherries. Patrick previously spent two years as marketing director for Domex Superfresh Growers. Prior to that, he spent seven years with the Washington State Fruit Commission, first in sales for the commission’s educational magazine, Good Fruit Grower, then as the marketing director for North America for Northwest Cherries and the Washington State Fruit Commission. https://lnkd.in/gb8asr-s
