Asma Ishaq shared thisFor more than three decades, I have been deeply engaged in collagen science and nutrition innovation. Long before liquid collagen reached mainstream adoption, before ingestible beauty became a defined global category and before bioavailability entered everyday industry dialogue, I was focused on developing delivery systems that improved how collagen performs inside the body. We did not follow trends. We established standards. The platforms we pioneered transformed absorption and helped shape what modern collagen supplementation looks like today. As the category expanded, one principle consistently proved true: innovation grounded in scientific rigor and long-term conviction sustains leadership. There is a reason millions of consumers trust Liquid BioCell®. Trust at that scale is earned through clinical validation, measurable performance, consistency, and uncompromising quality. Liquid BioCell® was more than a successful product platform. It became a blueprint for how collagen science should be approached, structurally, strategically, and scientifically. Leadership does not mean standing still. It means advancing the frontier, applying decades of insight across formulation architecture, global commercialization, regulatory navigation, and clinical storytelling to responsibly evolve what comes next. In April, we introduce the next chapter. An advancement built on a gold-standard foundation… developed with intention, precision, and scientific integrity. The conversation around collagen is evolving. #CollagenScience #IndustryLeadership #Innovation #ProductLaunch #Nutrition #LiveAgeFree

Asma Ishaq shared thisToday's #ThrowbackTuesday recalls a day that's very significant to me. It was on this date, 7 years ago today, that my company was officially acquired by Modere - the ink was dry! Since that time, I've been able to connect with so many talented and hardworking people, keep pushing the boundaries of innovation, and accomplish some amazing collaborative feats in our efforts to spread our live clean message. And because of this incredible team and our field leadership, Modere was named the #1 Fastest Growing Woman-Led Company of 2021 by the Women Presidents’ Organization and JP Morgan Chase, and being honored with one of the industry’s most coveted lifetime achievement awards as NutraChampion 2020. Our job is nowhere near done though - the seeds we’ve planted will spurt as we make exciting moves forward, starting with exciting announcements this month at our North American Social Retail Conference in Long Beach, CA. I hope to see everyone there as we get ready to Electrify 2024 with a bang! Here’s to just the beginning! #Throwback #LetsGo

Asma Ishaq reacted on thisAsma Ishaq reacted on thisLeona did amazing this year, thanks to many of you. She ended the Girl Scout cookie season selling 688 boxes total—a 92% increase from last year! Beyond being the top seller in her troop (#humblebrag), she experienced: ⚡ Confidence. She went from “I don’t want to talk to them,” all the way to “You don’t want any? How about you donate?” 🛑 Rejection therapy. So many “nos.” So many ignores. And she’s still standing. 🟰 Math. At $6 per box, she got her six-times table down. Collaboration: Deciding who gets to wear the cookie costume first, who refills the stock and who passes out samples. 😍 Quality time. With me. We spent hours at cookie booths and selling in our neighborhood. In between sales, we role played customer interactions, she taught me dance routines, and we sang Taylor Swift. In the end, she did not reach her ambitious goal of selling 1,000 cookies, which would have provided a complementary evening at Medieval Times, but thankfully, she is on a tiered commission, so she will get plenty of Girl Scouts branded merch, such as yoga mat, two stuffies, three bags and several patches. And like all good sales professionals, she understands the pressure to deliver will be higher next year, and she will be ready. After all, as I remind her: “What is the number one reason people don’t buy Girl Scout Cookies?” “Because they were never asked.” 💚

CHURCH & DWIGHT OFFLOADS VMS BRANDS VITAFUSION AND L’IL CRITTERS Following the announcement of a strategic review of the vitamin brands this August, Church & Dwight Co., Inc. revealed today they are divesting VitaFusion Doctors and L’il Critters to Piping Rock Health Products. VMS makes up less than 5% of the company’s anticipated 2025 sales, approximately $310M of $6.19B. C&D had acquired the brands in 2012 for $650M at 2.82x sales and 11.2x ebitda. C&D said in a press release that the sale makes the company’s portfolio stronger and enables it to focus on remaining power brands. C&D owns a wide range of personal care, household and specialty products such as Arm & Hammer Professional Products, Trojan, Oxiclean, Hero Cosmetics, and most recently touchland. C&D expects a one time impairment charge of around ~$45M as a result of the deal.

Clinics are standing at an inflection point. The old model -procedures, one-off visits, reactive treatments, is breaking. Not because demand is falling, but because expectations have fundamentally changed. Longevity and aesthetics are no longer separate conversations. They are merging into a new business category and many clinics are not structured to win in it. That’s why the Longevity & Aesthetics Clinics track at INNOCOS Silicon Valley matters. Here’s the reality clinics are facing right now: • Women’s health is the fastest-growing demand driver, yet most clinics are operationally unprepared • Hormones, metabolism, skin, sexual wellness, and energy are still treated as disconnected services • Teams are trained for treatments, not long-term care models • Technology is being added without a clear clinical or commercial strategy • Memberships exist, but loyalty and lifetime value don’t follow This isn’t a marketing problem, it’s a business model problem. At INNOCOS Silicon Valley, we’re addressing it head-on, what this track is really about: 🔹 Women’s Health 3.0 Women aged 35–60 are the most influential clients in aesthetics and longevity, but they expect coherence, credibility, and outcomes. This session breaks down how clinics can build scalable, evidence-based women’s health models that retain patients and compound value. Featuring Dr. Anastasia Chemeritskaya MD MHA , Noelle Diamond, Dr. Tess Mauricio, M.D., FAAD , facilitated by Dr. Stuart Diamond MD FACS, CLP 🔹 The Profitable Hybrid Clinic As beauty, wellness, and longevity converge, clinics must operate with far greater precision. We’ll unpack diagnostics, service design, team structure, data use, retail partnerships, and membership frameworks that actually scale. With Olivia Schmid, Keri Concannon, Tom MacPherson Le Maire 🔹 Regenerative Futures We are moving from correction to regeneration. Cell preservation, exosomes, and senotherapeutics are no longer theoretical—they’re reshaping what clinics can deliver. Featuring Drew Taylor, Melisse Shaban, facilitated by Dr. Saranya Wyles, M.D., Ph.D. Wyles This track is not about trends, it’s about who builds the clinics that will still be relevant in five and ten years. And here’s the key point: places are limited, and demand is strong. If you’re serious about future-proofing your clinic, or the businesses that serve clinics, now is the moment to book. 🎟️ Seats are filling fast. There was a time when “clean beauty” felt like the future. Consumers were asking more questions, reading labels more closely, and leaning into brands that promised transparency and safety. But recently, a noticeable shift has been happening in the beauty landscape, and it’s raising important questions about where clean beauty is headed next. More and more, consumers are choosing clinical over clean. And it’s not just a passing trend, it’s a mindset shift. Today’s clients want results. They’re drawn to formulas backed by science, visible results, and expert recommendations, not just feel-good ingredients. This shift matters not just for retail brands, but for salons too. Clients are coming into salons with high expectations: they want to know that treatments, facials, and products used during services aren’t just gentle or natural, but effective. That they’re being offered solutions with proven performance, not just pretty packaging. For salons, this presents both a challenge and an opportunity: how do we respond to this growing demand for clinical-grade results, while still holding space for values like transparency, safety, and care? I don’t believe this is the end of clean beauty, but it’s definitely a turning point. The brands and salons that succeed will be the ones who blend clean values with clinical efficacy. Who evolve with their clients and meet them where they are: informed, discerning, and focused on what truly works. Is your salon ready for this shift?

Most supplements are built backwards. Start with a long list of buzzy ingredients. Wrap it in glossy packaging and a tagline about “#wellness.” We didn’t want to do that. At The PrimaryRx, we started with a different question: What does the body actually need to see results? And what does the science say about how to deliver it? My co-founder, Sharang Shah, had worked extensively in health policy. I came from the front lines of clinical nutrition. Different vantage points, same frustration: Too many people were stuck in limbo, overprescribed or underserved. Caught between clinical care that dismissed nutrition and nutrition that ignored science. So we built what we couldn’t find. A supplement company grounded in clinical clarity and functional simplicity - trusted by doctors, designed to be prescribed, and easy for patients to use. Because good health shouldn’t feel like guesswork. And supplements shouldn’t try to be everything. If you’re a clinician, scientist, or someone trying to build better in this space, I’d love to connect.

A flexible supply chain isn’t a luxury, it’s a lifeline. Glossy's deep dive into composable, networked manufacturing is spot-on. For beauty and wellness brands, the ability to pivot quickly across partners and geographies is a true competitive edge. But for sexual wellness brands, it’s a bit more difficult. When stigma limits who will make your product or what’s “acceptable” to produce, having a global, multi-shore supply chain is more challenging. Typical supply chain regions do not have the willingness or capability to produce this product. If we want more diverse or local manufacturing, we’ll need to invest in re-building entire supply chains, training skilled labor, reducing regulatory stigma. It’s not impossible, but it won’t happen overnight. #SexualWellness #SupplyChainInnovation #AccessIsEssential #WellnessWithoutStigma https://lnkd.in/eMD5SJZG

10 Top Selling Dietary Supplements- With SupplySide Global upon us, Las Vegas is about to buzz with the latest ingredient innovations, but let’s pause for a reality check: The real engines of the $192B+ supplement industry aren’t always the buzzy newcomers…they’re the familiar, mainstream bestsellers that some in the industry might dismiss as “ho hum” or old news. Yet it’s these top sellers that don’t just define what’s flying off the shelves. They reflect the bedrock values, scientific milestones, and evolving health narratives that built this industry from the ground up. Why revisit the obvious? Because every “boring” top seller comes with lessons: ➡️ They reveal the foundations of consumer trust and how supplement use has evolved from basic nutrition to supporting longevity, mood, and mental performance. ➡️ They track the history of pivotal discoveries, from the dawn of the microbiome and gut-brain axis, to our growing scientific grasp of neuroplasticity and cognitive health. ➡️ And in a landscape of formulation fads and ingredient hype, they remind us that mainstream does not mean stagnant, these categories are still innovating as science redefines what’s possible. So before you get completely swept up in novel botanicals, hot delivery systems, and the next big thing, here is a reminder to revisit the roots. This post spotlights 10 top-selling dietary supplements, with quick dives into: · Their history of use and mechanism of action · Market data · Key scientific underpinnings If you're walking the SupplySide floor scouting opportunities, these aren't relics to overlook…they're living case studies in how consumer needs evolve and how science continuously redefines "basic" wellness. See you in Vegas: where the future of “mainstream” is about to get a whole lot more interesting... 💚 🌿 And don't forget to come and hear me talk about how Shatavari fits into the Functional Medicine view of Menopause and going over new clinical results from Xeya Modern Shatavari by NXT-USA indicating bidirectional hormone balancing adaptogenic support for women across all life stages (including, but not just menopause). Wed the 29th at 4:30-4:50 at The Product Development Theater, Booth #8011.

Now a days, people are building brands with the sole intention of selling to the highest bidder. What many of these founders don't realize is that part of due diligence includes examining your quality systems. The supplement industry IS regulated and for good reason. Consumers seek out supplements to improve their health and wellness. While I'm a believer in building things to better more than a bank account, I realize that isn't how everyone works. To founders that are building solely for the big exit, do us all a favor: put care and thought into the design of your operations and quality systems. Without those systems, the valuation of your company will be non-existent. #dietarysupplements #partnership #quality #operations
