I think it did a pretty good job capturing the essence of me and what I feel so deeply grateful that I get to put into service to the world. Only thing missing is my sweet little Ernie ... so, might have to create another version that includes him. If you want to play with this for yourself, here is the prompt you use: "Please draw the character in the image, “YOUR NAME” in a free and stripped sketch style. On a bright white background, freely distribute full-body drawings, face close-ups, small scribbles, full-body sketches and chibi/deformed versions, so that the page conveys the character's humor and personality. Don't do it like an organized character sheet, but like a sketchbook full of information drawn at will by an illustrator and then stacked. Use everything ChatGPT knows about me from our conversations, including my personality, habits, strengths, quirks, profession, and overall vibe, to imagine how an illustrator would interpret me as a character." This next chapter allows us to create an even richer ecosystem of visionary women who are ready to explore what it truly means to build their business by design — their design. Introducing our monthly Business by Design Exchange. In these rich, monthly conversations (which are also free to attend), we will leverage Human Design as a strategic operating system, and explore how to lead, grow, communicate, make decisions, create offers, build partnerships, and scale in ways that are deeply aligned with who we actually are … not who we’ve been told we need to be. This is free space for established, women founders with 6, 7 & 8 figure businesses to come together in circle and community, where they can engage in real conversations that crack new possibilities open. Because the reality is…these things impact almost everyone, either personally or through someone they care about. And when we avoid talking about them, we unintentionally create stigma around things that are actually incredibly important. Strong workplace cultures shouldn’t just support people professionally. They should support people 𝗮𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲. Sometimes a simple conversation: • Encourages someone to schedule an important screening • Helps someone feel less alone • Or reminds people it’s okay to prioritize their health That simple conversation could also literally save a life. Candy Barone, CMCP, MBA shared thisStop running on a treadmill going absolutely nowhere. No matter how hard and fast you run, it's still keeping you stuck in the same place. It's ok to get off. It's ok to take a step back. It's ok to actually exhale and take a clean breath. You may not even know you're doing this. But you're quietly killing yourself trying to live by someone else's version of who they think you should be. An old playbook. A tired-ass sales and marketing strategy. Another leadership training. A blueprint you've tweaked a million times that was never even designed for you. Yes, you've been successful by every external metric you can name. But for what? Has it been real fulfillment, peace, and joy? Or, if you're honest, has it felt far more hollow and empty than that? You keep chasing the dream and the promised land. What if it's when you stop chasing that you actually allow it to come to you? You keep trying to create more capacit: in your business, in your life, in your relationships. Yet, you keep doing more of the same things, over and over again. That's the insanity loop. That's the treadmill you keep running harder and faster on. Throw the damn playbooks out. Burn the old blueprints. Get off that godforsaken treadmill. I promise ... I've been there too. You can stop the madness. You can take back your sovereignty and your own agency. Candy Barone, CMCP, MBA shared thisI was in a ritual. Deep work. The kind that asks you to go somewhere most people avoid. In that meditation, I called in an ancestor and asked her to present herself. My maternal grandmother stepped forward. She carried a lot. Wounds passed down through generations: the kind that don't arrive with labels, just with weight. My mom had a difficult relationship with her. From what I know of her, she was a lot like my dad. Difficult. Trying. Emotionally and mentally abusive. Distant. Suffering. And, somewhere in that lineage, something had been quietly breaking women open for a very long time. I asked her one question: What is the core wound you are carrying? She didn't hesitate. "I have never had a safe space to be soft." I felt it land in my body before my mind could catch up. Because it wasn't just hers. It was mine. It was my mother's. It was every woman I have ever worked with who showed up strong, capable, and quietly suffocating, performing both roles of the feminine and masculine simultaneously, holding everything together, and never once letting herself exhale. In that moment, I told my grandmother that I saw her. That I could hold her. That she was finally safe. That she could finally allow herself to be soft. And, she dropped ... into softness right before my eyes. I felt her release. And, I felt the magnitude of that moment as the women in my lineage stood behind me. Something in their energy shifted ... and, was transmuted in that moment. After the ritual, I called my mom. Together, we healed something that day. Something that had been waiting across generations to finally be seen. I understood, more clearly than I ever had, why I do this work. Not to fix what's broken. To build what was never safe enough to exist before. A space where women can be powerful and soft. Wildly successful and fully themselves. Building something that is completely, unapologetically theirs. That is what has always been missing. That is what we are building now.

We talked about what it feels like to be the person absorbing everyone else’s stress, navigating constant people issues, leading change, supporting wellbeing, and holding things together for the organization...often while running on empty yourself. One of the biggest insights from the conversation: burnout in HR is not a personal failure. It’s a signal that the role has expanded in ways many workplaces were never designed to support. The answer is not simply “do more self-care,” but giving HR professionals permission to work differently, sustain their energy differently, and stop carrying everything alone. Really appreciated the honesty, vulnerability, and connection throughout the conference. There is something powerful about being in a room full of people who understand the essential role on HR...and are committed to building a healthier future for the profession together. It seems to be the rally cry for every influencer, business owner, and entrepreneur these days, and often part of their sales pitch. Which, more times than not, feels sleazy and plays to this ridiculous notion that somehow we are broken or not enough.

And, when I say baseball is in my blood, I mean it, literally and figuratively.
As we celebrate and honor women who have blazed a path in her-story for International Women's Day, I would be remiss if I didn't pay special tribute to my great-grandmother, Helene Hathaway Robison Britton ... aka, the FIRST LADY of baseball (awesome, right!).
Yes, my great-grandmother was the FIRST women owner of a Major League…If you know me at all ... then you know I am a HUGE baseball fan.
And, when I say baseball is in my blood, I mean it, literally and figuratively.
