Rabbi Yehuda Goldman shared thisYou've reached the top of the ladder but are you fulfilled?Rabbi Yehuda Goldman shared thisPeople think that getting what you want is going to make you happy. You could call "success", getting what you want. That's how most people define it. But, they're missing fulfillment ❤️, which is living what you're made for and... Success without fulfillment is failure. 💯

Rabbi Yehuda Goldman shared thisSales 101Rabbi Yehuda Goldman shared thisHere’s a classic sales mistake. My wife, Jenna, walked into a Volvo dealership. The salesperson treated Jenna like she didn’t know anything about the XC40 Recharge. Here's the exchange: Salesperson: “Hi, what brings you in today?” Jenna: “I want to see the XC40 Recharge.” Salesperson shifts into persuasion gear: “You’re going to love it.” “The Recharge is pure electric.” “Google is built in.” “You get 226 miles of range.” The problem? Jenna spent the last three weeks watching videos and reading up on the XC40 Recharge. She was further along in the buying journey. She probably knew more about the XC40 Recharge than the salesperson did. Jenna came to the dealership to hear how loud the road noise was. The salesperson's mistake? He was selling everyone the same way. So Jenna left. Because when you don't feel heard and understood, that's what you do :-) The lesson? Adjust your approach based on where the customer is in the buying journey. How? Shift from persuading to understanding. Here’s what understanding sounds like: Salesperson: “Seems like you have a reason for visiting us today.” Jenna: “I want to see the XC40 Recharge.” Salesperson: “Sounds like you’ve done some research.” Jenna: “I have.” Salesperson: “What do you want to know about the XC40 Recharge?” Jenna: “I want to drive the car so that I can hear the road noise.” Salesperson: “I’ll get the keys and won’t say a word.” The lesson? People don’t buy because they understand you. They buy because you understand them.

Rabbi Yehuda Goldman liked thisRabbi Yehuda Goldman liked this“We love your product but are still waiting for the board to make a decision.” This was the response I got from a potential client that I had been negotiating with for almost 6 months. I felt lost. So I did the the only reasonable thing anyone in my position would do. I called Uri Jaskiel and asked for help. Uri patiently listened to my whole account and responded, “If someone won’t jump at the opportunity to sign up for a product that makes their life easier, then they must think it will (even temporarily) make their life more difficult.” On Uri’s advice, I called the prospect and asked “What can I do to make this decision easier for you?” Without hesitation the prospect immediately responded with a request. It was a big request. One that we usually charge for. I thought for a moment and said I’ll do it on one condition, that I fly in to do an in person demo for all the decision makers once I complete the request. Long story short, I am now on my flight home with a signed contract in hand! I highly recommend Uri Jaskiel. He is brilliant and brings a unique viewpoint to any business he interacts with. Thank you Uri!

Rabbi Yehuda Goldman liked thisRabbi Yehuda Goldman liked thisThe brief calm before the deluge. Gearing up for my 33rd Expo West! Early recollections of Expo were this weird amalgam of oiled body builders and Birkenstock wearing, tree-hugging earth mothers and WTF is wheat grass? Looking back, it is amazing and gratifying to see how many niche, fringe, out-there ideas around natural and organic food and wellness products, sustainably produced by unreasonable men and women have become truly mainstream – largely propelled by values led companies that believed in business as a powerful force for social change and now available, accessible and democratized to most, not yet all. What was started and nurtured in co-ops, independents, Whole Foods and others is now in Kroger, Target, Wal-Mart, Amazon and Costco. That is not losing something quaint, warm and nostalgic but truly realizing the dream of so many founders who believed that healthy, nourishing food, nutritional products and personal care should be the norm, are good for the planet and moving us all forward. Expo is also a family reunion I look forward to every year of decades-long friendships and journeys and shared experiences. It’s also discovery and appreciating the new generation of founders and leaders. It’s a community. It’s a movement. Carlotta Mast Jessica Rubino Tara Burkley Scott Owen Fredrik M. Cannabis has spent years treating canopy like a proxy for scale, and I think that has distorted how operators, investors, and regulators talk about cultivation. Square footage tells you how much plant area you are allowed to occupy. It tells you very little about whether the operation is actually any good. Massachusetts is starting to question that logic too. A June memo from a Cannabis Control Commissioner proposed replacing the state’s canopy-based cultivation tiers with production-weight tiers, making a pretty straightforward point: two cultivators with the same canopy can produce very different amounts depending on genetics, lighting, plant density, cultivation technique, and harvest frequency. (Massachusetts Canna Control) That distinction matters well beyond Massachusetts. The state had 4.57 million square feet of active cultivation capacity as of December 2025. That is a lot of canopy, but canopy by itself tells you almost nothing about the health of the businesses operating underneath it. (Massachusetts Canna Control) If I am looking at a cultivation operation, I care a lot more about what happens inside those square feet. How many saleable pounds come out of each bay? How often can the room turn? What percentage finishes as flower the market actually wants? How many labor hours go into a pound? What does that pound really cost after cultivation, drying, testing and loss? Does the dry-room capacity support the harvest schedule? How quickly does finished inventory turn back into cash? Two companies can have the same canopy and completely different businesses. One can run clean rooms, repeatable harvests, disciplined labor, good post-harvest flow and product that moves. The other can have the same square footage tied up in inconsistent yields, excess labor, drying bottlenecks, aging inventory and flower that eventually needs a discount to leave the building. Canopy is useful for describing physical capacity. It is a pretty weak way to describe operating performance. The question is not how much canopy you control. It is what that canopy can reliably turn into saleable product, margin and cash. #CannabisOperations #OrdoVerde

⚖️ Quality vs. Profit: A Growing Divide in the Licensed Market Let’s talk about seeded flower — a quiet issue making noise in California retail. In the legacy market, everyone knew the rule: if your flower was seeded, it wasn’t “top shelf.” It got labeled honestly, discounted fairly, and moved accordingly. That was respect for the consumer and the plant. Now, in today’s licensed market, that line has blurred. We’re seeing seeded flower discounted, quietly pushed, or even labeled as “seeded” and sent through distribution. Meanwhile, beautiful, unseeded cultivars — rich with unique profiles and craft-level care — sit waiting to be packaged. Here’s the real problem 👇 Once product lands at a licensed retailer, they can’t re-sticker, re-label, or alter the packaging. That means no “seeded” warning, no extra note — nothing. At best, stores can post basic signage or have staff explain it verbally. So, when a customer walks into a boutique-style dispensary, they might trust what’s on the shelf and walk out with a seeded product labeled as premium. That’s not just a product issue — it’s a trust issue. We talk about scaling, innovation, and brand building… but shouldn’t quality control and transparency come first? 👂 I’d love to hear from: Retail buyers Distributors Cultivators Anyone passionate about integrity in the supply chain What’s driving this trend — market pressure, margins, or mindset? #CannabisIndustry #CaliforniaCannabis #CraftCannabis #QualityMatters #SeedToSale #TransparencyInCannabis #CannabisBusiness #LeadershipInCannabis #CannabisDistribution #CannabisRetail #LegacyToLegal #IndustryInsights

Strategy Flywheels: Why Winners Keep Winning 🥇 The best corporate strategies - regardless of industry - create a flywheel, or self-reinforcing operating model that produce industry-leading profits. Few cannabis executives talk about creating flywheels – or have even heard of them. Most cannabis strategies pay attention to independent tactics such as product branding, capacity and market entry, and ignore the synergies between their operating and financial levers. A flywheel is powered by 3 mutually supportive forces: 1️⃣ Revenue growth – Structural and individual tailwinds that push consumer demand higher. 2️⃣ Margin expansion – Scale makes each new dollar of revenue more profitable. 3️⃣ Reinvestment – The true engine of compounding. Profits go back into growth, making the company bigger and its moat stronger. 📈 Growth creates cash flow. Cash flow funds reinvestment. Reinvestment fuels more growth. The cycle spins faster over time. Flywheels do not arise by accident. They are created and nurtured by savvy, long term oriented leaders. One world class firm, LVMH, illustrates the power of the strategy flywheel. They are the largest and most profitable luxury products company in the World. The image-driven luxury sector is a paradox…success doesn’t dilute prestige and brand power, it strengthens it, thereby creating a moat. LVMH’s operating model is simple but an extremely effective flywheel: Prestige → Pricing power Pricing power → Cash flows Cash flows → Superior brand marketing, global and product expansion, retail development & acquiring other prestigious competitive brands Marketing, expansion & acquisitions → More prestige LVMH results over the 1990-2023 period… 💱 Revenue CAGR of ~10% 💰 Net profit CAGR of ~13%. 📈 Share price up 20x in 20 years. Now think about how much consumer data LVMH is capturing. The gleaned insights open up even more growth opportunities and ways to improve operational efficiencies. LVMH's success provides a vision and lessons for the cannabis sector - and glamour isn’t required. Cannabis flywheels can be assembled using strong brands, proprietary strains & genetics, first move advantage in new markets or unique dosage and delivery mechanisms. What it takes: ▶️ Truly understand consumer behavior and market dynamics ▶️ Know what part of the value chain has the most profit or is a key bottleneck ▶️ Identify and build the self-reinforcing strategic drivers 🎯 Capital allocation is a key competency. With the right allocations, even modest cash flows turn into exponential outcomes. 🏆 Winners, however, only keep winning if they protect and reinvest into their advantages and stay true to their values over the long term. Call me. I help leadership teams solve difficult strategic, cost & organizational problems and capitalize on growth opportunities. 🔔 Ring the bell on my profile page to get VIP notifications #management #cannabisindustry #cannabis #LVMH #strategy
