Ingrid Burton shared thisSuper exciting times in AI inference! When I joined the board at femtoAI, I knew they were onto a big idea! They do AI Inference on the Extreme Edge and are included Bessemer Venture Partners recent report on AI infrastructure. It's a must read if you want to understand the next phase of AI.Ingrid Burton shared thisThe AI infrastructure that got us here won't get us to the next phase. Big labs are moving beyond benchmark gains to designing AI that interfaces with the real world. Enterprises are graduating from POCs to production, and a fundamental shift is underway. While the first generation of infrastructure companies unlocked the "brains" for intelligence, the next generation will unleash these engines into the real world — building the nervous system that allows AI to sense, remember, adapt, and operate continuously. Our AI Infrastructure Roadmap explores five frontiers we've identified in 2026: from continual learning systems that evolve in production to world models that simulate physical reality, and production-scale inference to reinforcement learning platforms that teach AI through experience. Each frontier addresses a structural limitation that can't be solved through model scaling alone. This is infrastructure for grounding AI in operational contexts, real-world experience, and continuous learning. Ingrid Burton shared thisI’m still energized from going to NVIDIA GTC last week. GTC is the AI Super Bowl! It was great to attend and feel the buzz, hear the chatter and just generally feel the excitement. Jensen Huang’s keynote set the tone with blockbuster technologies, jaw dropping stats and futuristic musings. The best moment for me though, was when he started talking about the idea of the Inference Inflection - we are there! Exciting to see Groq front and center. Instead of rehashing everything that’s already been said, my top 5 takeaways this year: ⚡Hardware As I like to say, “what’s old is new again”. Infrastructure and hardware weren’t cool until NVIDIA made it sexy again! It was great to see Quantum computers, liquid cooled systems, big iron, fast chips and the crush of people talking about everything they saw and taking pictures - in some cases taking selfies with a motherboard!!!! 🚀 Developers Never underestimate the power of the developer community. We’ve seen this time and time again. Build the best platform for developers, and they will come. Whether it’s decades old platforms such as #CUDA, or brand new ones such as #OpenClaw (#NanoClaw!), the developer community lights the grassfire for widespread adoption. Success follows developers, or better yet, developers drive success! 🦾Robotics The robots were back in force. They were more capable, agile and even possibly useful. Every year, they seem to improve and become more life-like, whether humanoid or dog-oid. I even saw some exhausted robots who were done for the day! 🫶 Community The community surrounding NVIDIA is growing along with NVIDIA’s growth. I saw some very interesting new NVIDIA Inception Startups, and of course, many familiar big companies with new offerings. Personally, it's great to be part of a growing and vibrant ecosystem with especially with my own roles at Luminos.AI and femtoAI. 💚 Passion The people at #GTC were passionate about tech, AI and the future. I saw so many of my former colleagues and so many friends, and then met some new people too. Everyone was smart, engaging and enthusiastic. Everyone seemed to have new and brilliant ideas about what they are working on and their contribution to the community’s success. People are the passion that drives AI forward. My advice, if you are anywhere in the AI community, #GTC is a must attend conference, even if all you do is tour the exhibits and see for yourself the world of possibilities. Great seeing you all of you! Ian Gomez Graham Steele Shruti Koparkar Carolyne Hobson Sri Satish Ambati Priya Ravindhran Jacob Hobson Tom Kraljevic Michelle Gabriele Tanco

Ingrid Burton shared thisHuge day at LuminosAI! 🚀 They've officially unveiled new capabilities to the LuminosAI Platform with Lighthouse, the first automated testing platform built to help legal teams detect liabilities in Generative AI and Agentic AI systems. Lighthouse allows governance teams to: 🚀 Reduce AI system approval times from weeks to minutes. 🔍 Get a 360-degree "heat map" of potential liabilities. ⚖️ Build custom "constitutions" to test for compliance with the EU AI Act, NIST, and many more data protection laws. Great job by the incredible Luminos.AI team that made this possible!Ingrid Burton shared thisBig news doesn't cover it; we are ecstatic to announce something we’ve been working towards since day one. LuminosAI Lighthouse is LIVE! The first automated platform built to detect legal risk in generative and agentic AI systems. Lighthouse automatically tests your AI against concrete legal provisions and generates a single, plain-English document explaining where your exposure is. No back-and-forth with technical teams. No weeks of review. Just fast, clear answers. This is a game changer for legal and governance teams. Plus, new funding led by M13 to back it. See it for yourself this Friday or book a demo. Links in the comments.

Ingrid Burton shared thisI'm excited to join this session to see LuminosAI in action!Ingrid Burton shared thisWe're so excited for our first Luminos Live happening THIS FRIDAY! We built Luminos to help lawyers and AI governance teams *actually* automate how they review AI for risk. But with so many different tools and frameworks out there, we keep getting the same questions: Is real automation even possible? What would that even look like? We've been hearing these questions from teams everywhere, and we want to answer them all! That's why we created Luminos Live, our monthly "Office Hours" where anyone can see our platform in action, watch a live demo, and ask us anything. No subject is off limits! Join Andrew Burt and Nick Maietta, VP of Legal Automation, this Friday at noon ET by registering here: https://lnkd.in/ehG_biJZ

Ingrid Burton shared thisI spent several days at #GTC25 last week. Instead of rehashing announcements, here's my top 10 impressions. 1. The keynote - how does Jensen do it? Lines snaked around the SAP center for hours for people to get in. Was it worth it? Absolutely. Great delivery and thought provoking content. 2. What's old is new again! Hardware is so back! It was amazing to witness queues to see and touch all the latest NVIDIA hardware. Liquid-cooled, exaflop computing with over 600K components per data center rack, will enable the build out of AI Token Factories everywhere. Current and future generations of the Blackwell lineup and Vera Rubin were on display and I’m eager to see how they will fuel the next wave of AI innovations. 3. The sexiest product on the show floor was the DGX Spark, an AI supercomputer for your desk. It’s mind blowing! The packaging, design, unbelievable performance and efficiency is the coolest thing I saw. I’ve reserved one already! 4. The most inspiring use of AI was in healthcare. I talked to a number of companies where AI is helping with better patient outcomes today. They train their models on their GPU clusters which some said they ran 24/7 and one person said it paid for itself in 7 months. They provide insights on how to best treat a particular surgery, disease, patient, for the best outcomes. 5. The engaging fireside chat between Bill Dally and Yann LeCun provided some amazing insights about the future of AI. Hint: Edge AI. I recommend the replay. 6. Smart people. Everyone that works for NVIDIA is not only smarter than smart, they are passionate and humble about what they do. And it shows. I was especially impressed by the new generation of the team and I’m looking forward to their professional growth and to see how they help Nvidia continue its AI journey for the next decade or more. 7. More exciting AI developments were in the realm of physical AI with NVIDIA Cosmos. The cute and engaging robots (Disney’s won the cute award!), autonomous driving and representation of some major automotive companies, a company that is simulating the next gen F1 racecars, and again medical robotics. Big breakthroughs! 8. Don’t forget the software! The #CUDA platform is a full end-to-end AI platform for developers. The breadth of what is available and the number of libraries and capabilities that they added, is simply amazing. Kudos to CUDA! 9. One of the biggest head scratcher moments I had was when I saw that the AI platform players were in the very back of the Inception Startup hall with no throngs surrounding them. Did they miss a market transition? Or were they too early and now outdated? Once innovators now disrupted? 10. Finally, the best NVIDIA strategic alliance... was with Denny’s. They were on hand to feed people before the keynote and at the Night Market. It was a nod to the Nvidia origin story. What a Grand Slam! As Jensen said in his keynote, “the magic of AI is to create AI.” #GTC25 certainly had that magic.

Ingrid Burton shared thisToday was epic! With our new funding we will not only accelerate our growth and scale, but add exceptional talent, and invest in future LPU innovations. Go Groq!Ingrid Burton shared thisNEW: Six months ago, AI chip startup Groq was flying so far under the radar that one of its few newsworthy moments was when its CEO Jonathan Ross sent Elon Musk a sarcastic cease and desist letter complaining about X.ai’s similarly-named chatbot, Grok. That all changed Monday, however, with the news that the Silicon Valley-based Groq, one of several startups picking off pieces of NVIDIA’s AI chip business, has raised $640 million in a funding round led by BlackRock that values the company at $2.8 billion. Industry leaders like Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg are touting Groq, while Meta chief scientist Yann LeCun has come on board as a technical advisor. But it was a viral moment in February 2024 that set the stage for today’s massive funding round. It was “100% a game changer,” Groq CEO Jonathan Ross told Fortune in a recent interview. Ingrid Burton liked thisIngrid Burton liked thisIn third grade my principal told me I'd flip burgers for a living. I'm dyslexic. Nobody had worked that out yet, so as far as that school was concerned I was a kid who didn't listen, couldn't spell, couldn't keep up and was, well, dumb. So I got good at other things. I watched people, what they did when nobody was looking, what lit them up, what they said they wanted versus what they actually reached for. And I imagined constantly, because imagination was the one place nobody could tell me I was behind. For years I thought those were my workaround. Turns out they were the skill, and I've spent my whole career in marketing and building products doing exactly that. Which is why I can't stop thinking about what's happening right now. A kid today can describe what she sees in her head and watch it become real before anyone has had a chance to grade her spelling. The skills that used to decide who got to participate are getting cheaper and easier to reach every month, which means the things that are harder to measure matter more. I want to be careful here though. What saved me wasn't a clever workaround. It was my mom, who called every specialist she could find until somebody finally tested me, moved me through four elementary schools until I found my place, and never let me stop believing in myself. No technology replaces that, and no technology is going to notice the next kid either. Somebody still has to look at the girl who seems like she isn't listening and wonder whether she's drowning. I still can't spell. Autocorrect has learned my misspellings and now applies them faithfully. But I have never been more optimistic about the kids coming up behind me. My principal was wrong. Not because I eventually got into UPenn and have had a career I love, but because the thing she was measuring was never the thing that mattered for me.

Ingrid Burton liked thisIngrid Burton liked thisWhat is over-responding to the market? What is under-reacting to the market? As a founder this is a question I ask myself... often. In nearly five years of building Keep Company a lot has changed, but as they say, the more things change, the more they stay the same. I had the chance to share Keep Company with 100KM Ventures' annual meeting in Detroit last week, and I started and ended with this: For five years, Adrienne and I have said the same thing: Human relationships are not the soft stuff of work. They are the infrastructure that makes work work. We’ve just been able to take things like mentors and friends and sponsors at work for granted, because they used to just kind of happen. They don’t anymore. When we started Keep Company, focused on peer relationships for parents and caregivers, many people told us human connection was a pandemic problem, or just an employee wellbeing thing. We believe relationships are a driver of organizational effectiveness. As work became even more distributed, Zoom-first and technology-filtered, human relationships have only became harder to find. More scarce and more valuable. AI has only accelerated and exacerbated everything we were saying back in 2022, the problem is just... bigger. This is why Keep Company exists, and why, every day our clients adopt AI in bigger, more expansive ways, we become MORE relevant. Shout out to the investors and champions like Shalanda Armstrong who saw that we were onto something before talking about what we should keep human at work was cool :)

It was truly inspiring to attend the 2026 Directors Forum in person. Raj Gupta delivered an outstanding keynote and continues to be a remarkable thought leader on how companies can succeed in the emerging #BANI world rather than the traditional VUCA environment. His perspective on how boards can move beyond information absorption and compliance oversight to deeper engagement in strategy, talent and risk strongly resonated. I recently shared some thoughts on the VUCA to BANI transition in a LinkedIn article as well (see below link). https://lnkd.in/gaHe_qa2

From 2013-2017 I marketed MIPS and a promising turnaround of the business was halted by the sale of Imagination Technologies, which saw MIPS split out. Wilderness years followed, including bankruptcy in 2020. Now the latest chapter in the revival of MIPS as a RISC-V company, which last year included sale to GlobalFoundries, will potentially see MIPS become the volume leader in RISC-V IP with the purchase of Synopsys Inc’s ARC processor business. Speaking with me last week MIPS made it clear that aggressive inorganic growth is on the cards as they pull some parts of the roadmap forward by a year or more and develop a silicon design business. For in depth coverage of all things RISC-V, subscribe to our quarterly report.

AI is creating enormous opportunities for enterprises, but it’s also putting incredible pressure on the needed infrastructure, including storage. Rising demand for flash and DRAM, increasing costs, power constraints, and limited data center space are making it more important than ever to get the most value from enterprise storage. In this new ONUG blog, Bill Basinas of Infinidat, a Lenovo company, looks at what’s driving today’s volatile storage market and how organizations can respond through smarter workload consolidation and the right mix of hybrid and all-flash storage. https://okt.to/1Gx8M6 Infinidat will also be at the ONUG AI Networking Summit in New York City, October 28–29. Five words will define IT infrastructure for the next five years: rescue, reuse, repurpose, recondition, and redundancy. DRAM prices are up 171% year-over-year. NAND flash jumped 55-60% in a single quarter. Server lead times stretch into months. And VMware licensing changes keep compounding the pressure. Every component in the data center costs more than it did a year ago. The forces behind these increases are structural, not cyclical. Industry analysts project a tight supply through at least 2028, with some forecasts extending into 2030 and beyond. This is the environment that makes private cloud infrastructure the defining architectural decision through 2031. Not a marketing term for a VMware cluster behind a firewall. A real strategy built on commodity hardware from a variety of vendors that abstracts workloads from specific server brands, CPU generations, and drive classes. The organizations that weather this will be the ones that rescue themselves from licensing lock-in, reuse the servers they already own, repurpose freed hardware as protection nodes or parts donors, recondition older servers into production assets, and build redundancy into the platform instead of bolting it onto the invoice. The infrastructure decisions made this year will define costs for the next five. Choose accordingly. Search StorageSwiss to read the full analysis.
