Justin Edwards shared thisThe case for e-signature has already been made million times over, but if your not paying < $2 per signature for low volumes please come talk to our sales Team!Justin Edwards shared thisJust how important is it to move towards digital signatures? As digital transformation accelerates globally, e-signature adoption is growing. E-signatures streamline processes, boost productivity, and provide enhanced security, making them especially valuable in sectors like healthcare, banking, and government. So why aren't all companies adopting this practice? They need to worry about regulations, legalities, and unauthorized changes, so instead U.S. businesses spend $8 billion annually on paper document management. Revver's eSignature solves all of that. It offers tamper evident technology, compliance with global standards, comprehensive audit trails, and so much more! It's time to switch the way you do business. Justin Edwards shared this🚀 Mercato Partners Revenue Summit 2024 overview🚀 Last week, we gathered Revenue leaders from both within and outside our portfolio to share insights on navigating growth amid economic uncertainty. As 2024 wraps up, it’s looking like the soft landing economists predicted, yet companies are feeling the strain of sustaining consistent growth while protecting margins. Looking to 2025, recession concerns are still on the radar, with two indicators—an inverse yield curve and the Sahm Rule—triggered. However, other mixed signals, such as economic growth and declining interest rates, suggest a potential counterbalance to these recession indicators. We focused on [momentum, accuracy, and efficiency] as foundational pillars for sustainable growth. The emphasis was on continuously driving forward, precisely targeting high-value customers, and optimizing resources to maximize impact. While AI is gaining momentum, conversion remains a challenge. The role of [data and AI] in shaping future growth strategies lies largely in automation. It’s emerging as a vital tool for streamlining operations, enhancing customer onboarding, and improving the overall customer experience. Attendees were encouraged to operationalize both marketing and revenue strategies in phases, invest in team development, and foster a strong performance culture. The takeaway? Companies need to place strategic bets—expand RevOps, harness AI, and double down on customer-centric innovation—to set the stage for long-term success. Thank you to all attendees and speakers for sharing their playbooks and making this incredible event possible! Justin Edwards shared thisTop Takeaways from SaaStr 2024; Saastr 2024 was an amazing experience filled with valuable insights from industry peers! Setting the amazing coconut water from Explo aside, the death of the point solution is here as the new Revenue playbook requires additional products to cross sell & upsell into your customer base. If you haven't noticed, the sales landscape has (potentially forever) changed and yesterdays playbooks simply aren't working. Time to tweak, adjust, & improve. A few key highlights: 🔹 No Downturn (just the new normal): Cloud spend up +20%, strong use cases in non-tech (Monday, Klaviyo, Samsara >34%) , AI (Google Cloud, Azure, Github ~+30%), Security & Compliance (Crowdstrike +34%) 🔹Point Solutions are dead: customers are expecting more (think about going multi-product earlier ~$20M ARR), platforms are winning and cross selling customer bases with additional offerings is winning 🔹 Workflow & dashboards aren't enough: AI spend is almost all on automation, the AI bubble may burst soon, but your customer expectations are changed indefinitely 🔹 Outbound is not dead: Ripplings 150 person BDR team is producing >50% of the outbound demos. The phone is king and that is the reason why real sales teams are beating AI. 🔹 GitHub, Ramp, Figma, Cloudflare: AI-Powered Growth Building out applied AI teams is about velocity and experimentation. The future will be AI-native with roles blending, where developers design and designers code. Early feedback and constant iteration are essential for long-term success. 🔹 Rippling, Brex: Multi-Product GTM Scaling outbound efforts with a 150-person team drove 60% of Brex's forecasted revenue. Multi-product strategies require specialized teams focused on the right personas and unit economics for effective sales. Think about adding more products sooner ~$20M ARR 🔹 Owner.com: CRO's Guide to RevOps Building a Revenue Operating System is key for predictable growth. Success requires effective measurement, clear communication, and alignment with business maturity. Scoreboards and regular reviews are crucial for operational excellence. 🔹 Ironclad: AI in SaaS AI is transforming onboarding, automating manual tasks, and driving vertical data advantages. But we’re not seeing fully automated complex roles. Organizations must lead from the top for successful AI implementation. Excited to bring these learnings to the portfolio! Justin Edwards liked thisJustin Edwards liked thisWell, this is pretty cool. SaaS Therapy is ranked #4 on MillionPodcasts list of the Best Client Relationship Podcasts in the U.S. Casey Trujillo and I started the show to help people save their most important business relationships: their customers. And yes, sometimes that takes a little therapy. The best conversations give you room to talk through the messy stuff, ask better questions, and learn from someone who’s worked through a similar problem. And, like good therapy, hopefully you leave with a little homework. Our guests have challenged us to think about customer education as a product, question whether delivering training actually changes behavior, and get curious about what customers are experiencing before jumping in with an answer. I love coming out of a conversation with something I want to try or a question I hadn’t thought to ask. Thanks to everyone who’s listened or shared an episode. It means a lot. And if you’ve taken an idea from the show and tried it, I’d love to hear what happened. Keep listening! We love engaging with you all. And a special thank you to all those who've joined us as a guest over the past few years (I feel so blessed to have a tribe of mentors that teach me so much)

Justin Edwards liked thisJustin Edwards liked thisYou can be completely right and still lose everything trying to prove it. Early in my career I watched a partner promise a client $2.5 million. The case had merit. The law supported it. The client had been wronged. But five years, four additional lawsuits, and $250,000 in legal fees later, the case settled for the exact amount that had been offered on day one. The client lost his business. Sold his equipment at auction. Laid off his team. Eventually had a heart attack. He was right. And it cost him everything. I've never forgotten that case. Because it taught me the most important distinction in business law: Being right is not the same as being protected. The legal system is slow, expensive, and unpredictable. Even when you win, you may lose everything getting there. The best legal outcome is the one where you never need to go to court at all. Where your contracts, your documentation, your structure—everything is in place before the dispute begins. That's why I do preventive law. Not because I can't fight. But because I've seen what the fight costs. Find it before it finds you. #FindItBeforeItFindsYou #CleanLegalBillOfHealth #BusinessProtection

The fastest way to lose a year of growth? Hire the right GTM leader at the wrong time. Across investor-backed businesses, one pattern consistently stands out: GTM leaders rarely fail because they lack ability. They fail because they were hired for a stage they were never built for. The good news is that this challenge is solvable, and the impact of getting it right is transformational for value creation. Recently, Renovata and ZEREN brought together three senior experts who sit at the centre of commercial leadership hiring across PE portfolios: 🔹 Lucy Brealy Partner, Renovata 🔹 Alan Fecamp Partner, Renovata 🔹 Harry Lewis Managing Director, ZEREN Together, they unpacked the real foundations of effective GTM leadership hiring for PE-backed organisations. SaaS Price Hub

Three household-name SaaS restructured pricing in six weeks. All three followed the same playbook: kill the old tier names, bundle AI into every tier, force customers to help pay for the AI investment. → Aug 15 — Semrush killed Pro/Guru/Business. New tiers bundle AI Search visibility into everything above entry. Old Guru buyers pay ~20% more on the new Pro+. → Jul 8 — Coda rebranded to Superhuman Docs. EUR-native now, per "Doc Maker" instead of per user, ~25-30% effective raise at the entry tier. → Aug 2026 — LogRocket killed its 10-year flat Team/Professional/Enterprise ladder. New entry is $176/mo (up from $99 — a 78% jump) with Galileo AI included free above 100K sessions. The pattern: vendors that built their tier ladders in the pre-LLM era are all making the same bet — customers won't opt out of AI features even at higher price points. Buyers don't get to choose. Miro capped AI credits per plan tier earlier this year. Zapier renamed Starter to Professional and switched to task-based sliding scale. This isn't a coincidence — it's the SaaSpocalypse repricing tell. For CFOs and procurement: assume every SaaS in your stack has an AI-bundle repricing coming within 12 months. Model it now. Renegotiate multi-year commits at current rates while vendors are still willing to hold price. Full breakdown in this week's SaaS Price Hub digest — including which vendors give six weeks of renewal notice (Xero) vs zero (Attio, Whalesync): 👉 https://lnkd.in/d9PTgNrp #SaaS #Pricing #AI #Procurement #FinOps #CFO

Apex Operator Partners

The Apex Thesis Most early-stage companies don’t have a strategy problem. They have an execution problem. The vision is clear. The opportunity is real. The team is capable. But priorities keep changing. Decisions keep finding their way back to the founder. Critical knowledge lives in people’s heads. And adding people somehow creates more coordination instead of more capacity. At some point, working harder stops solving the problem. Because the company hasn’t run out of effort. It has outgrown the way it operates. That transition—from a company powered by founder effort to one supported by real operating infrastructure—is the focus at Apex Operator Partners. Growth shouldn’t require more heroics. It should require fewer.

Be The Buzz & Co (GTM Marketing)

One of the clearest signals that GTM needs to evolve is this - Your best sales conversations rely heavily on context. The founder explaining nuance. Sales reframing value live. Solutions Engineers filling in gaps marketing didn’t cover. That works early on. But as deals get bigger and cycles get longer, that context needs to live in the narrative, content, and the way demand gen shows up before a conversation ever starts. When marketing carries that context, sales accelerate rather than compensate. That’s usually when GTM starts to compound again. #CybersecurityMarketing #GTMAlignment #SalesEnablement #B2BMarketing #RevenueOperations #SaaSGrowth #GoToMarket #PipelinePredictability

The newly released Technology Leadership Private Equity Talent Report highlights how sharply product and technology compensation has risen. Median OTE now scales from approximately $409,000 at $0M–$50M ARR to $863,4296 at $1B+ ARR. The most meaningful inflection point occurs in the upper mid-market, where median OTE jumps to roughly $759,000 at $501M–$1B ARR. This reflects the expanded enterprise-wide impact product and technology leaders are expected to deliver as companies scale. Too many ICP frameworks are static, opinion-based, and manually maintained. As GTM becomes more automated and data-driven in the AI world, that approach no longer scales. The reality: an early-stage startup operates fundamentally differently from a company at $100M+ ARR. Yet most teams apply the same ICP logic regardless of their maturity stage. In our latest guide, our CEO Guillaume Jacquet draws on his experience as a board member and advisor across multiple B2B SaaS companies to map how ICP approaches evolve across four maturity stages, from early hypothesis-driven thinking to adaptive, real-time systems. 📖 Get the full breakdown here https://lnkd.in/eZZfhgPR
