For instance: China is now educating 10x more engineers than the US, double the PhD STEM students, and holds the #1 spot globally in patents. Countries are now sending their best minds to China to learn. That's a very different story than the media projects. There's a growing Silicon Valley narrative that universities are obsolete in the age of AI. Joe takes that on directly, and his defense of a new age, experiential learning driven research university is the best I've ever heard. If you're a founder, an operator, or anyone tempted by the “universities are doomed” thesis, this is worth your time. Blocking Fable 5 was a firm PR move. Joe walks through what it means for global perception of the US in the AI race, and how this moment calls for collaboration between private AI labs, university researchers, and governments, who work best in concert together. Joe wrote Robot-Proof years before anyone else in higher ed was seriously thinking about AI. He was right then. I’m sure he’s right now too!

Before the $5,000 quote, I’d gotten a quote from another attorney for $3,000. So, I asked the more expensive attorney what made his plan better. He said, "That's just my rate." I was floored. It felt like paying more for the same car at a different dealership - a higher price for no additional value. The reality is that most families don't have complex estates. They have a home, family, and financial accounts. For that family, the standard attorney markup may not be financially possible. After this experience, I looked around. Coinbase was doing crypto. Robinhood was doing stock trading. TurboTax was doing taxes. Credit Karma was doing credit scores. Nobody in the fintech space was prioritizing estate planning. So that personal frustration became the foundation of our company. From the start, our mission was to provide the same quality documents you'd get from an attorney at a fraction of the cost, done in 30 to 45 minutes. Today, Trust & Will is the largest online estate planning company in the United States. And it all started because I couldn't get a straight answer on a $5,000 quote.

Sustained ~252–291 GiB/s of HBM memory throughput on H100s under decode load — essentially hitting the hardware roofline. This matters because HBM throughput, not FLOPs, is the real bottleneck in LLM inference. By keeping memory nearly fully saturated, I’ve unlocked far higher efficiency and throughput than standard engines.
