Wiz Red Agent independently found a GitHub Actions injection that became live just five days earlier 🤯 In a fascinating glimpse of the new AI-vs.-AI paradigm, an AI-generated vulnerability was independently exploited by another AI. Without human intervention, Red Agent: 1) Learned from an initial failed exploit attempt. 2) Extracted and validated Snowflake's Jira credentials. 3) Assessed the blast radius across internal projects. We responsibly disclosed the issue to Snowflake, who deployed a patch the very same day (!) and verified that Wiz's testing was the only activity during the exposure window. An agent can reason perfectly and still make the wrong decision if it’s working with stale data. And as agents become more autonomous, those mistakes can happen at machine speed. That’s why I believe operational data becomes even more important in the AI era. As software moves from recording what people do to increasingly taking action itself, the data layer becomes part of the control plane for the business. Today we announced the biggest expansion of MongoDB’s platform yet: MongoDB 9.0, Atlas Infinite, and Atlas Agent Engine. Together, they’re designed to give agents live data, elastic scale, and the infrastructure to run reliably in production.
