This reactivation occurred during a period of military reform and modernization, led by the Chief of Staff of the Army, General Creighton Abrams. He was instrumental in re-establishing the Ranger units, believing that the U.S. Army needed elite, light infantry forces that could conduct rapid, small-unit operations in both conventional and unconventional conflicts. 2/75 has consistently proven its value in some of the most challenging conflicts and missions, carrying on the proud Ranger legacy that dates to Rogers Rangers. Sign up today by purchasing your shirt at https://lnkd.in/eGnA2MVX 4 Rounds for time: -19 Ground to Overhead Dumbbell or Kettlebell @53/35 (swing or snatch) -19 Front Squats @53/35 -19 KB/DB push-ups (one hand on KB/DB left then right for a total of 38) -400 m run with KB/DB Rules for Mog Mile WOD *Your weight (dumbbell, kettlebell, cinder block, sandbag, etc) is your “Ranger Buddy.” You cannot lose physical contact with it at any time. You may rest it on your body, or set it on the ground with one hand touching it, but do not let it go completely. *If you DO let your weight go, you forfeit the progress of that round, and you must start the round over. Symbolism of the WOD *You cover a total distance of one mile. Even though the soldiers actually walked between 2.5 and 3 miles depending on their starting point, it has become known as a “mile”. Great milestone!Matthew Thompson shared thisBaselayer has raised a $35M Series A led by M13, with participation from Torch Capital, Picus Capital, Afore Capital and Matt Thompson of Socure. Alongside the round, it launched its Agentic Identity Suite. Founded in 2024 by Jonathan Awad (CEO) and Timothy Hyde (CTO), the New York company provides identity verification and risk infrastructure to more than 2,300 financial institutions and payments companies, around one in five in the US. It says it has helped customers prevent more than $1B in fraud losses. Now it's extending that infrastructure to AI agents. As agents start to open accounts, make purchases and move money on someone's behalf, banks and merchants need to know which agent they're dealing with, who it represents, and whether it's authorised to act. The Agentic Identity Suite is built to answer those questions cryptographically, and includes what Baselayer calls the industry's first agentic fraud consortium. The company works with partners including FIS, Prove and Socure, and is helping shape emerging standards through groups like the FIDO Alliance and the x402 Identity Working Group, alongside Cloudflare, Google, Visa and Mastercard.
