That mindset is what led us to establish Marquee Development’s AI Task Force. More than a policy group, it's a working team dedicated to exploring emerging tools, testing practical applications, and understanding where AI can meaningfully strengthen our business. Across the firm, we're already seeing AI accelerate time-intensive processes, giving our team more capacity for the work that matters most. In every aspect of our business, our philosophy is guided by the people who will ultimately experience our districts. That human perspective remains at the center of every decision and is something technology can support but never replace. For us, AI is another tool to strengthen the way we work and keep us more informed than ever before. As the industry continues to evolve, we look forward to continuing to explore how emerging technologies can help us enhance our work, strengthen our districts, and shape the future of our industry. Rachel Maguire reposted thisRachel Maguire reposted thisULI Chicago’s Red Flight had a wonderful day exploring the theme of “Cabrini Green Renewed: Past, Present and Future of Old Town and Cabrini Green” with an insightful presentation by Peter Levavi of Brinshore Development, LLC that provided great historical context of affordable and public housing in Chicago as well as overview of their successful project Clybourn 1200 in the area. The day continued with a tour at JDL’s nearby North Union site that was purchased from Moody Bible ,868 N Wells, by Joey Letchinger to see some model units in the project that leased up to over 90% since their July 2024 delivery as well as hear what is in store for the Master Plan for future phases. We ended the session with Nicholas Pryor, AICP, AIA of SCB presenting elements of the updated CHA Master Plan for the Cabrini Green Redevelopment. Since the last towers were demolished in the early 2000’s … exciting things envisioned for this vast empty acreage minutes from the CBD. Special thanks to Onni Group of Companies and Paul Purewal for hosting us at Old Town Park - providing great aerial views of some of the above referenced projects. Along with Paul, thank you to Matt Graham and Erin Sullivan as part of this year’s leadership team for kicking off the year with planning of today’s session.

The celebration of art is so important in this world, perhaps never more so than today, and this installation adds to the amazing urban fabric and vibrancy of downtown Chicago that is simply irreplaceable. This has been a project many years in the making and it will be a gift to Chicago for many decades to come. One message was clear: the fan experience extends far beyond game day. Mixed-use districts create opportunities for year-round engagement, but successful destinations must reflect their market, audience, and surrounding community. AI was another consistent theme, with organizations exploring how the technology can better leverage existing information and create new opportunities for innovation. Our own AI Task Force, led by Rachel Maguire, is actively exploring practical applications across the firm. It was valuable to hear how others are approaching this evolving technology.
