Executives often explain a strategy differently than it appears in an offering document. They add context, tell stories, connect the data to real-world situations, and answer the questions advisors actually care about. That is executive thought leadership at its best: turning leadership’s expertise and perspective into clear ideas that advisors can understand, remember, and repeat. In this video, we take a closer look at how marketing teams can listen for those valuable insights and turn what leadership is already saying into stronger marketing content Dive into the world of alts marketing with our weekly blog posts. For years, marketers have reported metrics like website traffic, cost per click, and cost per lead. They're useful. But my conversation with Andrew Davis raised an important question: Are they telling the business what it actually needs to know? Doubling website traffic doesn't automatically double pipeline. And when you're sitting in a board meeting, traffic isn't ultimately what pays the bills. As marketing leaders, our job isn't simply to demonstrate that activity happened. We need to connect that activity to demand, pipeline, and business growth. The metrics we use internally can help us optimize. The metrics we bring to the business need to demonstrate impact. Old school marketing leadership. "Why isn't this going viral?!" New school marketing leadership " What did we learn, how can we improve, and what are we currently testing? One of these produces great work and the other produces a 48 page deck explaining why the last campaign was "technically" a success... Leaders today need to know how to open Ads Manager without a guided tour. They need to feel comfortable handing the keys to the 24 year old copywriter because they actually know what is working! Leaders today need to be able to say "that was my call, and it flopped, here's the fix." Out loud. In a meeting. with witnesses... Titles used to be about control. The good ones today are clearing the runway. Marketing didn't get easier. It got more honest. And honest leadership is the one advantage that nobody can copy and paste. So, marketing leaders: are you the runway or the roadblock? #MarketingLeadership #CMO #Leadership

The most important thing I learned about social media strategy? Attention is useful. Trust is valuable. A post can get views, likes, and comments and still do very little for your business. For coaches and leadership professionals, the real goal is to make your expertise understood and trusted. Your content should consistently show: What you understand. How you think. What problems you solve. Why your perspective is worth listening to. Because the right content doesn’t just make people notice you. It makes the right people remember you when they need help. That’s the difference between simply being visible and building authority. #SocialMediaStrategy #ThoughtLeadership #PersonalBranding #ExecutiveCoaching #LeadershipDevelopment #ContentStrategy #LeadershipBranding

A team once proudly showed me their monthly number: 42 meetings booked. It sounded great. Until we looked closer. Only a handful matched the real ICP. Almost none became serious opportunities. The KPI wasn’t wrong. But it was teaching the team to optimize for meetings, not business. That stayed with me. Because KPIs don’t just measure behaviour. They create behaviour. If you reward volume, people create volume. If you reward pipeline quality, behaviour changes. If you reward revenue, priorities change again. As a CEO, I’ve learned to ask one question before adding any KPI: “If everyone optimizes for this number, will the company actually become better?” Because sometimes the dashboard is green... while the business is moving in the wrong direction. https://lnkd.in/dAyrGxfy #Leadership #BusinessStrategy #KPIs #CEO #WithKVG

There was a time when I thought being a good business owner meant wearing every hat. If I could do something, I did it. I wrote the emails. I created the graphics. I updated the website. I scheduled the posts. I convinced myself I was saving money. What I was really doing was slowing down the growth of my business. The biggest shift didn't happen when I hired help. It happened when I stopped asking: "𝘊𝘢𝘯 𝘐 𝘥𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴?" …and started asking: "𝑺𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝑰 𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒃𝒆 𝒅𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔?" That one question changed everything. Leadership isn't about proving you can do it all. It's about creating space to focus on the work only you can do. If marketing keeps getting pushed to "𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦," this week's blog is for you. 📖 Read the blog, https://lnkd.in/e6dxSi8G and then ask yourself one simple question: 𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒂𝒎 𝑰 𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒅𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒆𝒍𝒔𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒅𝒐 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒂𝒔 𝒘𝒆𝒍𝒍? #BusinessOwner #Leadership #SmallBusinessMarketing #CEO #VisibilityPartner #BusinessGrowth #MarketingStrategy #WomenInBusiness
