Lindsey Simpson’s Post

There is nothing Charlotte Langley and NICECANS can’t do. Beyond excited to be on this 🚀 with the team. And for the record, you can be a sardine girl all year-round!

Massive thank you to Laura Brehaut and the National Post for diving deep into the tinned fish world with us 🍾 sardines, sustainability, and some of the origin story of NICECANS 💅💅 When I started this brand, the goal was never just “make a nice tin.” It was to build a direct-trade model that actually pays fishers fairly, to hold ourselves to Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) Chain of Custody standards, and to prove that “delicious” and “responsible” don’t have to be a trade-off, they’re the same decision. Getting to tell that story in a national outlet, and have it land, is the kind of validation that makes the 5am mornings and spreadsheet marathons worth it. Huge love to the team who make this brand run: Jacob Taylor Lindsey Simpson, Taheera Fidaali CPA, CA , and our friends at Brandsicle 💅 plus every advisor, retailer, and fan who’s helped Nice Cans grow from an idea into a boldly delicious movement. The strongest part of this story is that sustainability and fair sourcing are built into the business model rather than treated as marketing claims. When product quality and responsible practices reinforce each other, the brand story becomes much more credible.
