There is no connection to the printer, Canon ImageClass D570. The PPD file is missing and the database doesn't mention this type of printer, Canon ImageClass D570. Canon had 2 linux compressed files and I extracted them, but there wasn't a PPD file. Is there any other options?

The printer driver name is Canon D570 UFRII LT (en), it would appear after installation of Canon UFR-II LT driver.

There's a version for Linux ARM, which is suitable for Raspberry Pi (ARM64/cnrdrvcups-ufr2-us_6.20-1.01_arm64.deb inside the archive).

You don't need to manually select a PPD file, but if you want, it will be under /usr/share/cups/model/CNRCUPSD570ZK.ppd after the driver installation.

  • I used your advice and downloaded the linux canon file. I asked AI and used Terminal, but install said command not found. So, I checked the App Store for printer apps and found one that showed the printer job. I tried printing and it said the printer job had been completed. I installed a printer configuration app and it said i was using a driverless driver. I decided to give up. I switched the OS back to Raspberry Pi and installed an email app so I can print receipts. I printed a test page and it worked. I wish I could use Ubuntu because PI takes 5 to 10 minutes. Also, I tried root user Commented Sep 20 at 1:37
  • Your printer supports AirPrint/Mopria, you can use driverless or everywhere drivers. In this case you do NOT need to install (add) the printer manually, it will be discovered automatically and you should use this auto-discovered printer. Make sure your printer is on the latest firmware — driverless implementation is frequently buggy in the printers. Or install the official driver and use it, you can install it with sudo apt install cnrdrvcups-ufr2-us_6.20-1.01_arm64.deb, unpack the .deb file from the archive first. Commented Sep 20 at 4:27
  • i tried to find AirPrint/Mopria in the APPstore but it was not there so Looked at my printer app that I installed and noticed my printer was not added, possibly not added. I am not sure, what I am looking at, to tell you the truth; Anyways, I added it and tried to print a test page and it worked. However, the THUNDERBIRD mail app, still, did not work!!!! I looked at the DESTINATION option and there was my Canon_D570_USB and CND570 printer. I switched it to the CND570 printer, and it, now, works. Thanks, for commenting. Commented Sep 21 at 13:34
