Ingredients For Preventing Mold From Fresh Cut Flowers:

8 oz water
1/2 tbsp 3% hydrogen peroxide
Glass vase or jar

Directions:

Prepare your fresh cut flowers by trimming the ends off and rinsing them in water.
Fill a vase with 8 oz of water, then 1/2 tbsp of peroxide (if you need more water, keep these ratios. For instance, you can use 16 oz of water and 1 tbsp of peroxide).
Add your fresh cut flowers to the peroxide water.
You can repeat these steps every few days.

How Long Will This Last?

I had these flowers in a vase for about 3 weeks and there was no mold growth! Eventually the blooms started to wilt, but I didn’t get any yucky water this entire time. I clean out the vase every 3 days and redo this solution when I have fresh flowers.
