I have a CSV file containing a column for Organisational Contact and another Column containing a URL. I would like to import this by matching the contact name, and then populating a custom field with the URL.

I have tried the Contacts > Import Custom Data route, but it complains that "This import screen cannot be used because there are no Multi-value custom data groups."

That's fair enough because the LINK field type doesn't have an option to be a Multi-value field.

What's the correct method to do this?

    The Import Custom Data option is designed to import data for Multi-value Custom Data fields. You should be able to import successfully using the Import Contacts option. Commented Sep 18 at 16:31
  • Thanks - I have found the correct place now, but the import still fails with "Cannot execute queue "user_job_2". The "civicrm_queue.runner" property is missing. Commented Sep 22 at 11:54
