Why Test Every Tuna?
These fish seem identical. They are the same size. They swim in the same school. They both like recess and hate math.
This fish has lower
mercury levels.
This fish has 10 times
more mercury.
About 1 out of 4 tuna tested do not pass our strict purity standards
That's why Safe Catch tests every fish. And we're the only brand that does.

Retain Natural Nutrients
Many canned tuna products are precooked on racks, machine processed, and then cooked again, which drains away much of the fish’s natural omega-3 oils and flavor.
Safe Catch does it differently. We hand-cut and hand-pack solid wild tuna steaks, seal in the fish’s own juices, and slow-cook once. This process preserves natural omega-3s, protein, and micronutrients, so there’s nothing to drain. We never add water, oil, fillers, or preservatives.

Just Pure Tuna
Our unseasoned tuna contains only wild fish and a touch of sea salt (when noted) — no oil, water, fillers, soy broth, or preservatives.
Open the can, break up the steak, and let it reabsorb its natural juices for a moist, flavorful meal.
