After years of constant work, daily standups, debugging sessions, automation runs, deadlines, and random team conversations — suddenly having silence in the calendar hits differently. There were sleepless nights. A lot of overthinking. Trying to process how quickly things can change. But somewhere during this week, I realized something… A layoff can remove your role, but it cannot remove your experience, your skills, your hunger to learn, or the effort you’ve put in for years. So now, it’s time to reset, learn more, apply again, and step back into the game stronger. Over the years, I’ve worked on automation frameworks, Playwright, Selenium, API testing, GitHub Actions, and AI-powered automation workflows. And now I’m actively looking for new opportunities in QA Automation / SDET roles. I also know AI is changing the industry very fast. Roles are evolving, expectations are changing, and many people are going through uncertain times. But hopefully, AI never replaces humanity. While it’s tough to wrap up this chapter so suddenly, I’m incredibly grateful for the growth and the teams I got to work with along the way. During the past 3 years at the company, I had the opportunity to grow across different roles such as: - Priority Support Specialist: I started out partnering with our highest-tier -enterprise customers, troubleshooting deep technical issues and handling critical workflow concerns. - Senior Support Specialist: From there, I moved into managing a dedicated book of clients—acting as their main point of contact to design and roll out custom platform solutions tailored to their specific operational bottlenecks. -Demo Services Engineer: Most recently, I shifted to the technical side to build, deploy, and maintain ClickUp solutions for demo environments. This involved utilizing AI workflows and building out API integrations via tools like Zapier to scale and elevate those solutions. I’m now looking for my next opportunity in roles like Solutions Engineering, Technical Account Management (TAM), or Customer Success Engineering. Unfortunately, my role — along with the roles of my entire team — was impacted as part of that reorganization. While I’m now looking for my next opportunity, I also want to take a moment to say how grateful I am for my time at ClickUp. I learned a lot, experienced a lot, and had the chance to work with an amazing team. Together, we built trust, solved complex problems, and delivered real business value. I still believe ClickUp is a great product, and I’m sure I’ll continue to follow and use it in the future. I also want to highlight a few incredible people I had the pleasure of working with and can strongly recommend: Backend superstars: Marcin Biernat, Ouzkhan Mete, Damian Więcek, David Cerezo Inigo These engineers are truly outstanding. They know how to use AI tools as a real superpower, constantly improving workflows and solving complex problems. Anyone who has worked in a domain like dashboards — with tons of configurations and edge cases — knows how challenging that can be. They handled it with skill and ownership. Frontend superstars: Igor Napierała, Andrew Kim, Nick Heinbaugh Just like the backend team, these engineers are excellent problem-solvers. With AI tools in hand and a proactive mindset, there was no challenge they couldn’t move forward. Their ownership and energy would bring huge value to any engineering team. Product Management superstars: Lily Chan, Caroline Ginty Their involvement in the product was amazing. They were never just sitting in the background — they were driving things forward. Their product sense, customer understanding, and ownership are exactly the kind of qualities that make a real difference. Technical Impact Manager: Brehon Parker Understanding both customers and technical details is a rare and valuable skill. Brehon is excellent at being close to the customer, understanding the real problem, and making sure fires are handled properly and on time. QA: Mauro Stacul is still at ClickUp, but I want to mention him as well because he is one of the best QAs I’ve ever worked with. His product knowledge, attention to detail, and proactive approach are outstanding. I hope to work with people like him again in the future. And with that — yes, I’m also looking for my next opportunity. I’m open to roles such as: Engineering Manager Frontend Team Lead Frontend Engineer If you know of any opportunities where my experience could be a good fit, I’d be grateful for any connections, referrals, or recommendations. Thank you to everyone I had the chance to work with at ClickUp. It was a meaningful chapter, and I’m looking forward to what comes next.

Dave Bush reposted thisDave Bush reposted thisWell, I never expected to be writing this. After nearly 5 years at ClickUp, I was part of the 22% impacted by today’s layoffs. My anniversary would’ve been June 7th, which makes this one hit especially hard. I’m still processing it, honestly. But more than anything, I’m grateful for the people I had the chance to work with along the way. Thank you to Zhivago Le, Vincent Varghese, Lily'okalani Hafoka, Anthony C., Nick Wolf, Dalan Weber, Enrique Suarez, Samuel Nunn, Brehon, Aleksandr Mordovski, and so many others who made the experience meaningful. I learned a lot, built incredible relationships, and worked with some truly talented people over the years. While this chapter ended sooner than I expected, I’m proud of the work I did and the teams I was part of. Now comes the next step: I’m officially open to work. My background is in leadership, customer support, operations, and team management, and I’d appreciate any connections, opportunities, or conversations. To everyone else impacted today: I’m rooting for you.
