Dr. Jason Wersland shared thisLongevity is a fancy word for being well. That's what I kept coming back to at the St. Moritz Longevity Forum We talked about Blue Zones, sleep, and what our scores are telling us. About the unique stressors women deal with, and the extra load they carry for everyone around them. And under all of it? The basics of consistency. Think about brushing your teeth. You don't debate it, you just do it. The more consistent we are with the little habits, the healthier we are. → Wellness is a practice. Health is a state. Wellness is what we do, over and over. The Theragun and Therabody products we've created are a very small piece of that. Something to use every day for nervous system regulation. Not a fix, but a habit. So to me, longevity is wellness consistency. Thank you to our host Christina Michael (founder of the forum) and the Forum for the space. And to Parul Bajaj (Managing Director & Partner, BCG), Ryan M. Greene, D.O., M.S. (Co-founder & Medical Director Monarch Athletic Club), & AJ Ginnis (Olympian skier, investor), for a conversation I'm still thinking about. The pictures are below. Do they do it justice? #therabody #prepareperformrecover #recoveryfirst #longevity #wellness

Dr. Jason Wersland shared thisThe Therabody team just published a great breakdown of “tech neck.” And if you spend most of your day at a desk, on your phone, or in front of a screen, you may recognize these 3 signs: 1. Neck or upper-back stiffness Especially toward the end of the day. 2. Tight shoulders or “knots” Particularly around the upper traps and neck. 3. Less range of motion Turning your head or getting your arms comfortably overhead starts to feel harder. The interesting part? Tech neck isn’t simply about “bad posture.” When your neck and upper body stay in the same position for long periods, your muscles and joints are repeatedly dealing with the same load, without enough movement or recovery. The science-backed approach is actually pretty simple: Move more → Build strength → Improve mobility → Recover well. Therabody breaks down the science, the warning signs, & practical ways to help manage it, including movement breaks every 30–45 minutes, upper-back mobility and strengthening, and recovery strategies. I’d especially encourage anyone who spends hours at a screen to take a look. 🔗 Read the Therabody breakdown by Susie Reiner, PhD on tech neck: https://lnkd.in/e-fnZRGY #recovery #movementhealthWhat Is Tech Neck? Dr. Jason Wersland shared thisI didn't set out to build a company that lands on lists, I set out to fix my own pain. That's still the truest place to start this from. Before Therabody was anything, I was a chiropractor with an injury that wouldn't respond to anything I already knew how to do, so I built a tool. Not because I saw a market, because I needed it and nobody had made it yet. That habit never left me. Noticing what's missing before I think about the solution. It's a small thing, but it's the actual engine behind every product decision we've made since. Yesterday I said the question I still run everything through. Not is this innovative, but is this necessary. That question came from the garage I started to build from, and the quote I turn to, "necessity is the mother of invention." Lists and recognition are nice, but they're not why I show up. My purpose stems from asking, does this help the body do what it's trying to do? Prepare for what's ahead, perform when it counts, & recover so it can do it again tomorrow. I think about how far this has come (throwback photo from a tv segment in Madrid!), and the part I'm proudest of has nothing to do with growth. It's that the person answering that question today is the same person who was answering it in the garage. Still asking if it's necessary. Still building for the body that's hurting, not the one that already has access. On a related note, I haven't forgotten about the newsletter a lot of you asked for. I'm still gathering the right details and pulling together what you've shared with me so far, because I want this to actually speak to you, not just add to your inbox. Stay tuned. #therabody #prepareperformrecover #founderstory #innovation #healthTech #leadership

Dr. Jason Wersland shared thisNot "is this innovative." Is this necessary. That's the filter I run everything through. Health tech loves complexity: - More sensors - More data - More app At the end of the day, our body runs on whether something actually meets it where it hurts. So when I look at where we've landed, next to companies pushing this whole industry forward, I feel relief that we never lost the plot. Because in the end there's only one question that matters, does it help someone heal? And we build from there. #therabody #prepareperformrecover #founderstory #entrepreneurship #recoveryfirst #leadership

Dr. Jason Wersland shared thisTherabody was just named to TIME's list of the World's Top HealthTech Companies. I want to tell you what that recognition actually means to me. Not because of the list itself, but what it took to get here. When I built the first Theragun in my garage I wasn't thinking about technology. I was thinking about pain, my pain. And how nobody had built a tool that could reach the muscle the way I needed it reached. ➜ That's still the test I use today. Not "is this innovative," but, is this necessary. Will this actually help a body heal. Health tech gets seduced by complexity sometimes. More sensors, more data, more app. And I get why. But the body doesn't care how sophisticated the device is. It cares whether the device meets it where it hurts. So when I see us on a list next to companies pushing the entire industry forward, what I feel isn't pride in the tech. It's gratitude that we never lost the plot. That every feature, every biometric, every piece of software still traces back to one question: Does this help someone recover. A Therabody in every home was never about scale for scale's sake. It was about making sure healing doesn't stay locked behind a professional athlete's training room door. That's the kind of innovation I care about building. And, a special shoutout & complete acknowledgement to Tim Roberts leading the science behind the products, and the entire Therabody team (statewide & international). None of this would be possible without each of you. Thank you. #healthtech #innovation #wellnesstechnology #founderstory

Dr. Jason Wersland shared thisDid you hear? We're celebrating Josh Allen's one-year as Therabody's Performance Advisor with a new series, In the Lab. 🎧 Josh and I go way back, so this episode is the closest thing you'll hear to sitting down with good friend. We're talking recovery, science and the routine that Josh uses through the season. 🏈 Let me know if you listen!Dr. Jason Wersland shared thisLast year, Josh Allen joined Therabody as our first-ever Performance Advisor, building on a relationship with our founder that spans more than a decade. Now in year two, we’re continuing that collaboration both on and off the field. Last week, we launched our new YouTube series, In the Lab with Josh Allen. In the series, Josh joins Dr. Jason Wersland and Chief Science Officer Tim Roberts in the Therabody Lab to talk products, performance, science and innovation. Josh also shares some of his goals for this season, from performance on the field to balancing work and Dad life, and how recovery fits into the bigger picture. As Josh recently told Hearst Magazines' Men's Health, “Recovery has allowed me to stay as healthy as I have been over my career.” His Theragun has become a natural part of that routine: “I use my Theragun every single day as a warm-up so I can start throwing right away,” Allen says. “I use the gun on my rotator cuff, my pec, my biceps, my triceps and my traps, and it just gets things moving and firing in the right direction.” Josh’s perspective gives us a firsthand look at what athletes need, and his feedback continues to influence what we build next. Stay tuned for Episode 2. Check out Episode 1: https://lnkd.in/g8BGjTFX

Dr. Jason Wersland shared thisSomeone left a comment on my last post that landed with me just as much as the Steve Young perspective about going through it, not around it. They commented back with something I'd never heard before. Bison handle storms different than cows do. Cows run from the storm and try to escape it. Which keeps them trapped inside it longer, because they're running the same direction the storm is moving. Bison do the opposite. They turn, and walk straight into it. Charge right through the "chaos," because that's the fastest way out of it. He called it the bison mindset. I told him, that's the magic of sharing what resonates with us. Knowing it will resonate with someone else too. Same message, different perspective. Every time we want to run from something hard, avoid the conversation, delay the decision, sidestep the discomfort. Think about the bison. Not running from the storm but walking into it, because that's how you know you will get through it, time and time again. Thank you Nick, for sharing something I'll carry with me. Through it, bison mindset, let's go. #perspective #mindset #motivation

Dr. Jason Wersland liked thisDr. Jason Wersland liked thisOne of football's most powerful agencies has picked its next growth market, and it is basketball. Athletes First, which calls itself the largest football agency in American history, launched a basketball representation division this week after 25 years focused on the NFL. David Mulugheta, the firm's President of Team Sports and the top NFL agent on Forbes' 2025 Most Powerful Sports Agents list, will lead it. Two hires reporting to him will run the practice day to day: John Noonan, formerly senior director of basketball at @Octagon, who joins as VP of Basketball, and Brandon James, a longtime @San Antonio Spurs front office executive who began his career at IMG. The pairing covers both sides of the negotiating table. Noonan brings relationships from grassroots basketball through the NBA, and NBA insider Jake Fischer describes him as salary cap savvy. James rose through the Spurs' basketball administration and legal affairs group before moving into a strategic growth role, so he knows how teams build, value and defend contracts. The mandate runs from amateur development through college NIL and professional careers. That breadth is the strategy. With college players now earning serious money before the draft, the relationship with a future NBA client increasingly starts in high school, and an agency that can manage NIL deals has a head start on the rookie contract that follows. Mulugheta's football résumé gives the division instant credibility with players and families. His client list has included Micah Parsons, Jalen Ramsey and Jordan Love. Athletes First is betting its football reputation travels to a new sport. With this leadership group, it has a strong case. #AssetArena #SportsAgency #NBA #NIL #AthleteRepresentation #SportsBusiness #Basketball #NFL

Dr. Jason Wersland reacted on thisDr. Jason Wersland reacted on thisPvolve is prioritizing strength training for healthy aging. The brand has released its first Movement Longevity Report, highlighting gaps in strength training education among women, and launched a new healthy aging program in partnership with ambassador Jennifer Aniston. While lifting can help women in midlife maintain muscle and bone health, 66% of women surveyed said a doctor or trainer had never advised them to strength train. Only 16% have received guidance on how to get started, while 56% reported barriers – like not knowing where to begin, fear of injury, and feeling intimidated. The report also found that GLP-1 users require additional education – of respondents taking weight loss drugs, only 32% had learned about the risk of muscle loss from a provider before starting. In response to the findings, PVOLVE introduced Movement Longevity, a new vertical designed to make weight training more accessible for women of all ages. Available on-demand, the new program, created in partnership with Aniston, offers a 30-day training schedule that prioritizes progressive overload. Read the full story → https://lnkd.in/gREbd2iw

Dr. Jason Wersland liked thisDr. Jason Wersland liked thisOne life. Few more months remaining in this 2026 year. Take the task seriously, but learn to laugh at it all. Talk to yourself in the ways that are beneficial. If you were to design a strong, powerful human = you would not gift an easy life. If you wanted to create a human with immense patience, you’d probably not give them everything instantly. If you wanted this human to lead and walk with kings, but never lose the common touch? You’d design this human to embrace teams, people, but hold immensely high expectations for themselves.

Reposting this conversation with Zachary Bernard. One idea I keep coming back to: Healthcare doesn’t have an innovation problem. It has an implementation problem. Over the last few years building TheraNow, I’ve learned this the hard way. Early on, I thought better product = better adoption. More features. Better UX. Cleaner dashboards. Wrong focus. Health systems don’t adopt tools. They adopt workflows. If your solution doesn’t: • Embed inside the EHR • Align with referral patterns • Reduce documentation friction • Protect clinician time • Improve measurable outcomes It doesn’t matter how “innovative” it is. This is especially true now as AI enters healthcare. AI won’t win because it’s impressive. It will win if it reduces clicks, prevents denials, improves coding accuracy, expands capacity, or shortens time to care — inside the existing system. That’s why integration isn’t a technical feature. It’s the strategy. Appreciate Zachary Bernard for the thoughtful discussion. If you’re building in healthcare, this conversation will save you years. #HealthcareAI #DigitalHealth #HealthTech #EHR #FounderJourney

A new episode of the ALWELLCO Podcast is live. This discussion features Corey Keller, MD, PhD, Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University and clinician at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System. Dr. Keller leads the Stanford Precision Neurotherapeutics Lab, where his work focuses on the intersection of neuroscience, engineering, and psychiatry. He aims to understand how brain stimulation technologies alter neural circuits and how these treatments can be made more precise, personalized, and effective. In this episode, we delve into the following topics: - The true nature of brain stimulation and its differences from medications and historical portrayals of psychiatry. - The role of TMS in modern mental health care and the challenges of access, personalization, and measurement. - Insights on biomarkers, brain mapping, state-dependent stimulation, and closed-loop systems, and their potential impact on treatment in the next 5 to 10 years. - How brain stimulation can complement medication, psychotherapy, and lifestyle interventions rather than replace them. This episode provides a grounded, science-driven perspective on the current state of mental health treatment and its future direction. The average face-to-face prenatal visit lasts under ten minutes. A written, prioritized question list changes that entire dynamic. When clinical tasks happen quickly, memory often fails. Sorting your questions into three clear tiers (immediate physical symptoms first, upcoming tests second, and lifestyle choices third) moves your visit from a rushed checklist to a focused conversation. Your provider is your best resource for medical guidance, and clear preparation helps you get the clarity you need.
